I gotta start by saying the positive: having emailed DSW regarding a defective product I purchased from them online, they got back to me extremely quick! Sometimes even just a few hours later! Bravo to them on their fantastic promptness! But be warned - each response was from a different representative (at least 6 or 7 in my case), which meant each response was completely different. Their initial response was most helpful, but after that, every response to follow had a different answer, and in the end, their answers went from "Yes, we'd be happy to help you" to "We can't help you at all." It was beyond ridiculous. Almost comical, in fact. I eventually gave up - too much unnecessary stress and a complete waste of my time. Should you need to contact DSW customer service, you might be better off doing so over the phone or in person.

Be weary of DSW return policies - even when their products (defective or otherwise) damage within a fairly short time frame, DSW will be anything but accommodating. They may initially seem like they want to help you, but in the end, you may be disappointed. Any empathy or understanding on their part is all a facade. Shoes should last longer than four months, especially when they cost $60.00. Take your business elsewhere.

I ordered a pair of Dansko season platform sandal in dark brown that is defective. One shoe has a noticeably lighter spot than the shoe color that appears to be a threading snag or defect. In the box there is a shipping label that is labelled DSW charge send. I don't understand why I should have to pay for a return when the one of the shoes is defective and I'd like an exchange. I can't reach a human on the customer service line so I am very frustrated at this point. THere are no DSW's in the metro area that have this shoe so now what do I do?

Coupons on a return are not honored is insane.
Please look at another company- any company, and you will see that when you return an item you can use the coupon because you are also returning the coupon. Especially 3 days later Bc the coupon is still valid.
I will buy shoes some where else until you take a second look at your business model as it pertains to coupons.

BUYER BE WARE! MAKE SURE YOU CHECK YOUR RECEIPTS! Can't even give one star. I had a coupon for $10 and a birthday gift of $5. Key word is HAD. I went to the store in Gilbert Az. I found a pair of shoes that were on the clearance with a red sticker $64.99 and was supposed to be 20% off I noticed on my receipt they I was charged $69.99 then the discounts. I waited in line again to get a refund of $5 plus tax. Siphora the manager on duty said there was NOTHING she could do. This upset me so I had them give me a refund and didn't get any shoes. I don't understand it was clearly marked $64.99. Even the poor girl that rang them up tried to show her. I left and then realized I could still use the coupons today online the one for $10 expires today. I went back in and asked for my $15 worth of coupons back so I could come home and order something online. Once again Siphora said there was nothing she could to about the coupons either. So now I'm out the $15. So much for your incentives.

DSW :34th store employees reached a new level of customer service on October 23rd. I put on the new shoes I selected, put the old shoes in the new shoe box and continued looking at shoes. I put down the box and couldn't find it 5 minutes later. Female staffer commiserated helped me look, then got on her radio. She got security to review their tape, they identified roughly where the missing box was and found my old shoes. Best customer service transaction for me lifetime, or since 2936. P. Bolton

Hi I'm Marilyn, Went To Your Location In Fort Lauderdale On Federal Highway Spoke To An Associate There About A Item That I Seen On Your Website Which Wasn't In Store She Looked Up A Location In Miami Stated To Me That They Have The Item There.so She Placed The Item On Hold.i Drove From Fort Lauderdale To Miami And When I In Store An Associate There Stated No One Called Them, And They Didn't Have That Shoe. The Ladies Over There Was Very Helpful And Angry About The Situation And So Was I. But After All That I Didn't Want To Go Back Home Without A Father's Day Gift So I Found Something Else. Which I Didn't Want.so What I'm Going To Do Today Is Return The Item And Go Somewhere Else.

Ordered a 50.00 pair of shoes and received 'already worn' shoes in a broken box with the peds still inside the box! Gross. The bottoms were all worn and the zippers were unzipped in the back of the shoe! I did call to inform them and the rep was very helpful and sent me a return label, apologized, and sent out another pair right away at no charge.

ANYBODY THERE, hellllllloooooooo can you get someone to answer your phones, stop being so cheap....hire a few more people to work there...HELLLooo...can someone please walk outside of your building, that is IF there really is a building, grab someone off the street, bring them to the phone, maybe they can help us...HELL...OOOOOOOO????!!! IS someone there????!!!!! Someone claimed DSW is going out of business....I agree with them...off to FACE BOOK...to inform them of how I was treated....anyone there?????

Good afternoon. I am a recurrent customer at DSW. I usually go to the store in Gainesville, VA; they are super helpful and friendly. I recently had to go to the Fair Lakes DSW to get a certain size. Angela was the cashier, and she was rude. I explained to her that I had an exchange. I had called a few hours ago, and the boots should be behind the counter. She kept questioning what I was trying to explain to her. She never smiled and had a very condescending tone of voice. Once she started the exchange, she needed a manager for a key turn. The manager, Grace, over. Grace was wonderful!

I had a wonderful experience at the DSW at Boca Raton Florida DSW 29107 the manager and associate Lissa and Lynn were so wonderful. I used to be in retail for 20 years and I can tell when service is awesome !

Your customer service is horrible NO CUSTOMER SERVICE. Will not buy from DSW online again Wait time for representative was 1-2 hours. No respect for the customer

DSW has a unfit, uneducated manager running there store 400 S State Rd Springfeild pa to be exact I was a customer at 7:00 pm trying to make a exchange. she had no knowledge of the return policy at all. I was being told I couldn't do anything because my sneakers were worn which isn't stated anywhere that I couldn't. She was extremely unprofessional after realizing what she was saying was making no sense she storms away and threatened me action needs to be made. They forever lost my and everyone I knows business. Very unprofessional

6 phone calls to number on receipt. No return call although operator says I'm in line...whatever that means. 4 calls to chevy chase store...Noone could retrieve corporate number.
I bought ugg boots last year style for 149.99...this years version at neiman marcus 150.00.
Ya gotta be kidding..Kept them but returned 8 pairs of boots and shoes. Will never come back.
Telling everyone I know wherever I go even strangers....they also have stories about dsw..
Looking on line seems your customer service is not a service but a voice.
Glad I saw the light.
Now I will shout itvfrom the roof and blog about it...

Dec. 3rd at 4:43pm I called DSW The Coustomer service associate that came to my rescue was Kate! She was working in Columbus,Ohio this evening. Kate is a tremendously smart and caring professional! Kate listened to all of the unproffesional mistakes that had been made during my purchase (that had gone dreadfully wrong at the Pleasant Hill store in Ca. 11/16/17 at 6:12pm. The worst part is the security lock is still on the beautiful boots I purchased for $135.99! I had begged the manager to see if she could locate the boot I purchased in a size 9! The manager assured me that she searched all of the DSW inventory. She assured me there wasn't a pair! As it turns out there are a few pairs! Now nearly a month later Kate has made that sale! Kate provided me with what I had requested! Kate made that happen very efficiently! DSW would be much more effective if all of your employees were as efficient and caring as Kate! I do not know Kate this review is honest and not fake!

Recently shopped at DSW Park Meadows store. Found a leather walking shoe, but the box had mixed sizes we needed 6 1/2 and the box had a 61/2 and a 6 inside. Keith came to our rescue and four the other 61/2 shoe after searching through the size 6's and 61/2,\'s.

I visited DSW location in Elmwood Shopping Center (store 29461), Harahan, La. on the evening of 8/19. I was extremely pleased and impressed with the outstanding service I received from Alexis and Shannon. Both were very friendly, polite, helpful and professional....even when it was near to closing time. Determined to have me walk out a "happy customer". Alexis even assisted with an online order. Definitely the type of employees you want to have as part of your team and recognize for their awesome job!! I know how much positive feedback means, since I work in Human Resources. Please be sure to give them a big "job well done"!!

I was @ store # 29554 on July 9 2016. Shop @ the Fox in Johnsberg,Il. An associate name Cassie was very very helpful and kind! Haley also was helpful. I had the best experience, That will be my favorite shoe store to go to!
