1/10/24 Don't know when this happened, but DTE is now utilizing an overseas call center that cannot solve problems OR respond to customer needs. They were unable to generate a replacement bill after mine was apparently "lost in the mail". I requested a call transfer to DTE/ MI and was told that this overseas group does not have the ability to transfer calls to DTE/ U.S./ MI. That is obviously alse information, according to the the U.S. rep that I was finally able to reach AFTER FIVE FAILED CALLS/ATTEMPTS. However, these overseas reps are very focused on "verifying" identity via the customer's personally protected information. I refused to give them any of that... not even partial numerical data. If they can't "verify" identity via name, address, telephone number, account number THEN THE CALL CONTENT IS OBVIOUSLY SENSITIVE ENOUGH TO WARRANT THE ATTENTION OF DTE U.S. They persisted in "fishing for data" even when the knew that they did not have the capability of "reordering" a new bill. Once I was able to reach a MI agent... it took less than 2 minutes for the problem to be investigated (original bill was sent, but obviously was lost in the mail) and resolved (MI agent dispatched a new bill). It took me 3+ hours to get around the "robo nonsense" and the overseas call center BEFORE I randomly landed in the "que" of the MI Rep. THE FACT THAT I HAD TO GO THROUGH ALL OF THAT TO GET A REPLACEMENT BILL WARRANTS THE "WORST" POSSIBLE RATING FOR DTE... NOT FOR THE MI AGENT WHO SOLVED THIS SIMPLE ISSUE IN 2 MINUTES!

There is no prompt for power going off totally and coming back on. Long enough for clocks to start beeping on electronics.Outage was 4 times last night 3/31/23 at around 10:00pm and 3 previous times just dt before. This morning at 7:22 am. I called because 5 times makes me think something is not quite right. Normally when that happens I ignore it.But 5 times I can't. Especially after this ice storm in late February where we about froze to death. This morning I picked flickering lights as that was closest to our problem. Your prompts don't make sense as they're too broad. Royal Oak has too many power outages. I read where you save money by not upgrading important things such as the grid is old and that you don't pay overtime. Not good in the winter when it is dangerous and the power problems could be life threatening.

The person who made the decision to change the format of the outage map SHOULD BE FIRED. It's worthless.

I was refused by a customer service representative to speak to a Supervisor On Friday 8/5/2016.My daughter used my name and social security number to get electric and gas in my name without my permission. Only thing the representative said the bill is $161 and that the bill was sent to 20516 Rosemont 48219. Then I asked could I get the bill sent to my p.o. box she said no and hung the phone up in my face. Very Rude. The account number is Could you please have a Supervisor contact me. My name is Debra Foster Thank You

I have been fighting with DTE for years now to straighten out my account, i.e., credit. My meter does not work properly and I am being billed for the following accounts that are not mine. After careful review and investigations on my end, I have found the readings are not correct on account are shut my power off for lack of payment, I should fine you for ignorance. Your people are forcing me to pursue litigation, they act like I have done something wrong. When in fact you owe me thousands in fees for accounts that are not mine.

I live at 181!kansas avenue Ypsilanti Michigan 48198. My power has been out since Monday, December 28th at 8 pm. Yesterday we waited all day with no heat, no generator, nothing. Your text messages and updates kept saying at 630pm power will be restored. We saw the trucks at about 3pm at the end of my street. We went out to dinner and returned at about 8pm. No power. 3 Dte trucks were leaving my street. We tried to wave one down but he wouldn't stop. We started getting messages from Dte stating that power was back on. Half my street had power and the other half clearly had no power. Completely dark. 24 hrs with no heat and your status page kept telling us that we had power. We called and reported the problem. Again. Lady on phone was nice. She was sorry. Nothing happened. It's now 10:00am on Wednesday, December 30th. I still do not have power. And it's really cold now. I know u probably will never read this, much less respond. I'm just very disappointed in your employees falsifying work orders that a job was completed when it wasn't and they left knowing that we did not have power and then wouldn't stop to speak with us when we had questions about why they were leaving us with no power. If we could change power companies we would. You should be ashamed of such poor customer service.

I just would like to acknowledge Darryl ext 62046 for resolving an issue that has been affecting my life, my children and my business for the past three weeks. I've spoken to several representatives but it was Darryl that actually did something using his resources and problem solving skills he was able to come up with a resolution. I'm so grateful that Darryl took the time to help me instead of being just another apathetic person on the other end of the phone telling you what they can't help you with just pay me. Darryl was kind compassionate and helpful. Thank you thank you thank you!

In an unbelievable attempt to resolve billing misrepresentation DTE Energy has neglected to provide answers or support.

I have talked with every billing department at DTE Energy since December 13, 2013. Each department sending me to someone another department and giving me inappropriate instructions on how to rectify the situation.
Not only were the representatives giving out wrong information, they were also very rude.

I finally filed a compliant with the BBB after my level of frustration reached its limit.

The day or so after I filed with the BBB, I actually received a phone call from Ms. Shaw at DTE. For the first time, I felt a sense of relief.
I was told through a message that DTE was investigating the case and would get back to me, however I could call at any time to talk to the person handling the complaint.
I called several times, and never received a return call.
I finally received a phone message stating that they investigated the situation and due to the information they have, there is nothing they can do at this time. Again, I could call to talk to Ms. Shaw if I had further questions.

Again, I have left over 5 messages and have not heard back.

Unbelievable!!

Its time to move forward, next complaint will be with the Attorney Generals Office of Grand Rapids and then searching for a lawyer.

I have never been so frustrated with anything in all of my life.

I was just wondering when you will be out to trim trees from power lines in backyards. Next door is a huge maple with 4-5 separate trunks. The debris collects where the trunks start and rots out the tree. The wires go right thru the tree and if a trunk was to fall, it would pull down wires and possibly cause a fire burning garages down. I had a maple with 2 trunks and one fell on my house years ago. It is scary to watch that tree during storms. The tree is at 3347 Kenwood in Ferndale, MI in corner of backyard.

My husband and I were just at the Detroit (Mexican Town) facility. We were also told by a DTE customer service rep, that we would have a better resolution time if we came to the office. Last Tuesday my husband was there by himself and spoke with Rose #9. She assured him if he brought the proper paper work she would be able to correct the issue we were having. She also noted the account. We came back up there today. It was about a 45 minute drive. I spoke with Erica #18. She was incredibly rude. Two people could not see her at the same time, so I let her know that I would like to have my husband talk to her about my account. She did not let me finish and said "Sit down". Then she asked a question, as I was answering, she said "stop talking". I was appalled! My answer was less than 3 words out before she cut me off. She then proceeded to say I can't help you before she even knew what I needed help with based on the 3 words I did get out. MY husband then spoke with her, and with the same attitude asked if he could speak with her supervisor. As we were waiting we heard her and her supervisor talking and her laughing and being loud. We were on the other side of the cubicles. It was ridiculous! Needless to say, she would not help and I had to call the friendly DTE to help and resolve my issue.

Saturday about 8:45 am I loss half the power coming into the house. Better put half the house power circuits were dead. I called and after about twenty minutes I was able to speak with a customer service person (Robin). I explained the problem I was having. She said she is sending the information on and expect a response the DTE boom truck arrived at midnight. The technician said it was the loss of one of the power legs. He would put in a temperory fix until a regular crew repairs the problem
I told him that I had also informed the service call lady about my next door neighbor at 1540 experiencing the same problem at the same time my power went to half the house as his also did. He only had a service call for my house. After me telling him he did his house also.
When I told the lady about my neighbor having the same issue she said he would have to call. I asked why as we both were having the same issue and me informing her should be enough, why do both of us have to call? She said, she was sending the information on. She made no there reference regarding the neighbor. I ASUMED ALL WAS TAKEN CARE OF.
Question, why can't I inform your people about a mutual power problem? WHY?
I would like to get an answer-PLEASE.
Both My neighbor and I have your new smart meters. Reading your how great they are and how helpful they will be. HELLO--both of us had power outages why didn't your smart meters do an automatic outage alert? the meters are to do juet that. Is the information in your material not true? Just a serious thought, need an answer.
Thanks
Andy

Today I was told by a representative of yours at the landlord / automatic transfer plan to send a letter by fax to remove a couple of my properties from the program. I do not have a fax so she suggested going to your offices at Eastbrook in Grand Rapids MI and they would fax my letter. The person on the original phone cal was fine. The lady I saw at the Eastbrook office was at best rude and disrespectful. I entered the conversation with I have an easy task for you and received a "We'll see" from her. She looked confused, asked who sent you hear, I explained at which she said there other places you can send fax's from. I replied I was told by a DTE representative to come to that office at which she said, "That's inappropriate". At that point I'm offended and repeated calmly that your people sent me here. She just shrugged that of. Any other company would fail if they treated their customers that way. I was #34 and waited at approx. 2:00 pm in the waiting area prior to meeting with this women. My name is Larry Vander Zee PH # 616-856-9161. Please advise you employees to treat people with respect and dignity. Thanks
