you have taken 49.99 from my account again. i have rang and spoken to many people regarding this account to be closed. very unhappy about this as i cannot afford this again. why has this not been put on file that the account is cancelled. please put my money back and remove my private details from your records, i do not need this product from you and you have been told on more than one occasion, via email telephone.

well the best i would suggest you all is instead of calling on a number in regards to payments ... call your bank indeed for a refund or charge back they will help you with the refund and will make sure u aint charged again .. and if u face any problem with mcafee .. just uninstall and install in back on your computer

McAfee is very annoying. It continues to ask me to renew my subscription when I already have. I feel like asking for a refund and remove it from my computer.

Macfee is not for indian user because they do not help in hindi aur punjab its help in only english so i do not like this antivirus its not god.

I have just experienced the most frustrating experience I have ever had with any company support from McAfee tech services. Long story short - a level one technician worked on my computer for 3 hours by controling it by using go to assist. He eventually deleted my McAfee but was unable to download it again and in the process messed up several other applications on my computer. I supposedly got passed on to a higher level technician but over the course of 1.5 days they never called me back even though I was promised a call back in a certain time after I made several inquires. The final frustration - we received a call from McAfee at 12:50 AM this morning. The team is located in India. This was either gross incompetance or a cruel joke.

I too have just been charged agianst my old card details without my permission. Am looking into police report for Fraud / theft. I have not used them for over 18 months due to lack of support and trust.
Can't even contact them to express my opinion or demand a refund. Sent as a donotreply.

My subscription doesn't expire until April and I just received a message (early February) saying they renewed my subscription using the card I had provided. At no time did I ever authorize use of my card for automatic renewal. Plus the plan they "renewed" was $20 more expensive than the plan I had!On my way to the bank to question this transaction and have them investigated for fraud!
The scary part is that this is supposed to be the company I trust for my internet security!

They did the same to me. Charged me for services on computer I no longer have. Called service and they put me on hold immediately when I told them I wanted to cancel subscription. Then they hung up on me.

This is the worst company ever in Customer Service. I requested a refund for 3 months now and the stupid Customer service people are still telling me to wait. Never ever using McAfee again!

I downloaded a virus update. It crashed my
computer. It is now in the shop not knowing
if it can be repaired or not. Found out Macafee has a virus in their update downloads that will crash your computer. Would not Macafee be responsible for the repair on my computer or a new on if this one can not be repaired? This upsets me greatly when you pay for good service.

I too have been "robbed"by Mcafee. I cancelled my subscription and then received an e mail telling me that the card they used to pay for their service had expired.I was horrified to find a payment had been taken using the new cards details which were definately NOT supplied by me.My bank is investigating this fraud

NOTE TO THE people requesting refunds, the wait time is very long -- to DISCOURAGE refunds, my time is worth way more than $69 per hour so that is why these MFs are making sure the hold time is long MOREOVER they skype keys do not seem to be recognized so calling and selecting option 3 is just not working, METHINKS this is by design. I will now avoid every using another Mc Afee product!

The customer help site is a total fiction. Contact is absolutely impossible. I shall post a highly derogatory comment on Facebook, recommending that nobody ever uses McAfee products.

My computer crashed and I am wanting to contact someone at McAfee to get existing coverage transferred to a new laptop but have decided to go elsewhere after NOT being able to get a simple phone number or e-mail address and after reading pages and pages of complaints from different websites like this one. Terrible customer service.

I am writing this from a library computer because the Tech with McAfee killed my computer!! I spent over 90 minutes on line with her. She would not get me a supervisor or anything. She ended up going into my computer's Registry Editor and began deleting things. Why I stayed on line with them I don't know but now I may have lost everything on my computer. I will report this to BBB and try to get someone at Verizon (who i pay for this service) to deal with this. Verizone has awful customer service also. I'm just glad I am able to write this and vent to others who will understand.

I am going to report McAfee to the BBB. I received an email my automatic subscription was due on Aug 28th. On July 29 I called and canceled it, but low & behold they IMMEDIATELY charged my account. I had to call for a refund. I think they are hoping the charge may go unnoticed and I'm sure there are a few times they get away with it. I had the same thing happen last year. Maybe if we all do they will get the message.

The worst people and service I HAD EVER GET!! USELESS ANTIVIRUS CRASHED computer, I overpaid for tech. support that didn't resolve the issue, and now almost 20 days and I still didn't receive a refund .I WILL NEVER EVER USE IT AND WILL MAKE SURE THAT MY FRIENDS AND FAMILY WILL KNOW ABOT MY NIGHTMARE EXPERIENCE WITH THEM!!

Guess Im not alone in my complaint!! These people charged my account for services when I no longer even wanted their services!!!!!! I am on a very limited/fixed income and they made me have $70.00 in OVERDRAFT charges by assessing their fee. I talked to an online support person (only able to access by an outside service, by the way) and they could have cared less about what I wass saying!!! They took my money..I was charged fees by my bank because their fee caused me to overdraw and the onlu bit of info I got was that it woulf be refunded in 7-10 days!!!!!! So what about the $70.00!!!! Tough s..t!!! I am beyond angry at these folks! You cannot even find a direct contact#!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

this company is robbing to all,last year i purchased this sofware by my credit card,nw this year without my knowledge they diduct 5000/ (five thousand ruppees) from my card...six month before only i have deleted this software from my laptop.i had changed my OS...so be careful friends..

I had problems with McAfee, so I did not renewc and instead installed another virus protection problem. Imagine my surprise, when I was automatically charged a two-year renewal on my credit card two years later! I looked up my account and yes! There was the proof my account had been closed. Readers- understand: I received no product, so I was not seeking a refund, only credit back on my account. I WAS LITERALLY ROBBED BY MCAFEE! Yes, I spoke with them! Been promised action- heard nothing.

KEEP CHECKING YOUR CREDIT CARD BILLS EVEN IF YOU THINK YOU HAVE GOTTEN RID OF THEM!

All I can say is "WOW!" My experience with McAfee was an absolute nightmare. I need to preface everything before I tell you my story. I had a subscription that was to expire on 8/22/11. Although still protected, as of about a month ago I kept getting a pop-up message saying that my product was no longer supported(ie not updatable.) Given that fact, I renewed with an updated, upgraded and downloadable version of McAfee. A back-up disc was available for an additional $5, but I figured I didn't need it. I tried about 20 times to download the software, but it would always stall about a third of the way through. I called customer "support" and was informed that due to the fact that I was on a dial-up connection,(we lost our broadband provider a couple of months back) I would need to buy the installation disc to the tune of $15.00. I argued that I had already paid for their software and wasn't about to pay anymore $$ to them. I went on to say that if their software couldn't be loaded via dial-up, it should be clearly stated on their site. The tech responded that I should have known that dial-up would not support their download as this is "common knowledge." I said, "That's interesting, considering that I had downloaded(albeit very slowly) numerous software packages with dial-up in the past with no problem and didn't see why their software should be any different." To make a long story short, I declined the option of having my case "elevated" and demanded a full refund. I will no longer deal with anything McAfee related. Avast, here I come!!
