WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE HANDS DOWN!!! If you've ever thought about buying a KIA save your time and money and run for the hills!! The customer service is garbage, the vehicles are garbage and the parts used are cheap garbage!! I've had issues on and off since I purchased my 2013 KIA Sportage, in a very light driver and am under 18k on the mileage. I've been trying to get the morons in the customer relations call center to see there is a bigger issue with my car but they could literally give two $hits!! They don't care that I bought a brand new car, follow the maintenance per the dealership and have had issue that were out of my control pop up multiple times.. They only care to be rude, nasty, lie, and compile erroneous notes about conversations that aren't true and basically call their customers liars!! They disrespect, talk down and belittle whom every they feel like because basically enjoy pissing on their customers faces. I'm disgusted by the apparent lack of social skills it requires to be employed by such a large corporation and how condescending, rude, classless, and unprofessional they are allowed to be when speaking to concerned customers. This company is a joke, the cars they produce are circus freaks with underlying issues that KIA is conveniently never at fault for!!!
I have never in the 9 cars I've owned ever had as many issues as my KIA and I've never been disrespected by any other manufacturers customer service. I plan to do my best to tell the world about the awful experience I've had and the mind blowing hell I've lived since 7-21-2016 with trying to resolve a reoccurring issue and getting nothing but jerked around, lies to and disrespected to the most unprofessional level!!! I HATE KIA, WARNING BUYING ONE OF THESE CARS WILL BE AMOUNG THE BIGGEST MISTAKES OF YOUR ENTIRE LIFE!!!!!! DON'T BUY KIA THEY ARE GARBAGE AND THE PEOPLE THAT REPRESENT THEIR COMPANY DON'T GIVE A FXCK ABOUT THE SAFETY OF THEIR CUSTOMERS!!!

Worse service ever will not be back. Only one in waiting rm was told 45 min and had to demand my car back. Did not get inspection paper to file with state although l paid for inspection. Called 4 times with no resolution. I was only in for oil change and tire rotation.

Sir(s)...I am now in my 24th hour waiting for customer service to return my call. At issue is the June 10 letter advising owners of the 2.4 and 2.0 T engines of the connecting rod potential failure. After several readings of this letter and reading on line comments, none of which are positive to Kia, I feel that my wife is driving a "time bomb". There is absolutely no confort level in taking this car out of town with this probability of being stranded with very little, if any, early warning of a seized motor. Why would not Kia "step up" and repair the affected models...other than the bottom line, i.e. Volkswagon. My car is an Optima 2.0T, 2012, with 22,000 miles. And... any resale value is in the toilet ....Roger Young (Richmond, Va.)

I brought my 2013 KIA Sorrento in because I could not get my rear seat to raise back up after I had put it down. I have put the seat down no more than 10 times since I owned it and now the latch is frozen where I was told it will cost me $1000 to fix it. A latch will cost me $!000 seems to be ridiculous for using the devise less than 10 times. I have purchased cars for less than $1000. How can this not be a recall ? I called to complain and customer service does not return calls or answer. Not what I call professional KIA. Shame on your company. I am actually in the market to buy a new vehicle, good luck !

I have a problem for which a KIA "technical service bulletin" has been issued. My car's diagnostic matches perfectly and I want to request that this issue be paid for by KIA. I am a customer now at Chuck Olson KIA in Shoreline ,WA. and my service manager is Rick Villa. He's the best.the car's symptoms are serious and it strands me please consider bearing the cost. my 6 month old kia soul was just disabled by rodents chewing on wiring harness and other wires. I am told it's because Kis uses a soy based product to wrap wires. It is over $3500 damages. Now after repairs which I have to pay some of due to insurance company labor differences I have to bring the car home and pray it doesn't happen again. All they are going to do is replace then with another harness wrapped in the same material. This is ridiculous. I have a 2016 Kia Soul with the premium package.

Brought my 2012 Kia Sorrento to Kia Freehold for service over the memorial day weekend, took it there because that's where I bought the car brand new, when they called me to pick up the car they were all running around like chickens with no head, somebody stole my car and have not giving me a good explanation of what happened , one thing I do know is the office service dept.informed me the keys to my car were never returned back to the office, the lot has no fence, they have no security, and was told all the security cameras don't work, which I frankly don't believe, future buyers please beware, don't leave your car there overnight

I'm sorry to say that my current experience with Kia is not a good review.... I just purchased a 2014 Kia in Dec 2013 and since that I've found myself on the side of the road waiting to be towed. My entire electrical system went out and I had to fight with corporate to assist in the repairs.... Needless to say that was eventually repaired. But here I am six months later and the car will not run so they replace the battery for the second time because that what they stated the problem was but to no avail I found my self on the side of the road again. Another battery change, REALLY? this makes no sense to me. Yes I drive the car on a regular but these problems should not happen so fast on a brand new vehicle. Ok now so I take it back to the shop and I'm told they do not have a clue what the problem is and suggest that maybe I look into a nother vehicle. REALLY??? Now it's about customer loyalty....

Ok... So I am told that we are going to help you because we are sorry that our car has given you so may problems and we want you as a customer (I've sent others to purchase a car as well) we are going to let you see a car with all of the perks and things that you like.... long story short the bottom line is wayyyyyyyyyyyy up there and my term starts over and I don't see where the loyalty is being reference.




The 2016 Optima EX is a beautiful car but I feel like I'm in a catch 22 because my car stopped on me not because I stopped on it.. I guess I'm just kinda salty about the deal and this is no reflecting on my sales person SHE's AWESOME.... but I just feel they could've done better for me the one that drove off the lot thinking I was in my new nice car that turned out to be a LEMON with pretty paint!!!

Recently I brought a kia hybrid its a very nice car but the service I recieved at the dealership was poor I've bought three other cars there and the service was awesome but this time they made me feel like ok get your car and go I was later to work and got dock my car wasnt clean and after this I'll never buy anothet kia automobile from there or anywhere if this how you train these sale people I'll let my friends know not to shop there and not to buy a kia automobile. Signed unhappy customer and if you want you can call me or just push this a side I'm not talking about the service department I'm talking about the service of the dealership was poor service has nothing to do with this matter thank you gor your time.

Your driver hauling Kia cars heading south on I35 about mile marker 382, pulled immediately in front of our car. We had to hit the brakes as he forced his lane change. It was a dangerous move.

May 29 2016, I made an appointment for oil change at Kia of Covina, the staff that works there specially the employees that help the customers were very disrespectful they were using profanity and constantly fighting amongst each other, total lack of respec and professionalism I waited 3 hours for my car just an oil change I actually had to look for my car because the employees did not had a clue. I definitely never going back to that dealer and probably never by a Kia again.

Hello, I m writing to omplain about car doors malfunctioning. I have reviewed customer complaints and doors malfunctioning is a significant problem with the Kia Sorento and yet everyone is told it is not under warranty. I have a 2011 Sorento and out of the blue the drivers side door stopped working. You can open it from the inside to get out but you cannot open it from the outside to get in. A short while later the driver side back door also stopped working. So I either have to leave the window down so I can reach in to open the door from the inside or if the windows are up I have to climb in from passenger door to get into drivers seat. I have done nothing to cause this damage and I called the service center and was told it would cost $800 per door to repair. I know this has happened enough that it should warrant a recall of some type and would like to know why Kia is not addressing this defect in the Sorento. I cannot pay $1600 to repair my doors when I did not do anything wrong. Shouldn't Kia stand by its parts?

I wanted to send the following email to KIA but have been forced to deal with only phone contacts (who only seem to have a first name) and who in my most recent contact told me that he has no supervisor and that he was my last level of "appeal".

He failed to understand that here in the U.S. each state has a variety of consumer protection departments and the federal level adds to this. They will have to be my last "appeal", them and social media....

Here is my problem - simply put -

My Kia with 14,000 miles had a failure of brake calipers which caused the brakes to wear down on one side long before normal wear and tear. I was "tricked" into leaving a generic repair shop to go to a KIA service garage (told they would take care of me with KIA "corporate") - only to get hit with a $600 repair bill (for a repair that my regular mechanic tells me was not done in full).

That is the problem in brief...here are the details...

In response to my complaint to KIA by phone, I got a response on
4-15-16 by phone from Bruce - no last name, no title.

He told me "Your claim is denied because it had to be made in the first year or 12,000 miles. But rest assured you still have your full warranty of 10 years, 100,000 miles". He said that second line like it was GOOD news. That I should now ignore the defective calipers that but my family's life in danger.

I asked who he was, he said "Escalate Case Representative"
I said I intend to appeal this. He said "He is the appeal - he is the final decision on this".

I said "we are a Kia family - we buy a new one every 3 years- we've had a Sedona, a Sportage, a Sorento, another Sportage. Our son has a Kia, our son in law has one and my father in law bought one at my suggestion.

We will never buy another Kia and we will speak widely against Kia since our reason for buying them was the "complete" warranty - unlike American cars. We now know how worthless that warranty is.

I asked to speak to his supervisor and he indicated he had no supervisor to review his decisions. I said it is not to disagree with the decision but to voice my contempt for the Kia process.

When I spoke to the first representative John.
He was shocked that it cost $600. And in his follow-up call he said "It will be harder to get reimbursed since you paid it already". I didn't want to argue with him but

1. My Kia 2014 Sportage with less than 15,000 miles on it had to have the brake pads replaced because the calipers did not engage on one side of the car.

2. I could not continue to drive the car without extreme danger and it is my only car and we live in NYC and we were in Pennsylvania.

3. I immediately pulled into the first repair shop - Jack Williams and they told me the calipers had not engaged on one side.

4. I called Kia Lehighton and they acted amazed and in shock and pleaded with me to bring it to them "We have to see this" and she also added "We will take care of you, we will work something out".

5. What they worked out was a $600 repair bill. Why did I pay it? First, have you ever tried to leave a repair shop with your car without paying? And second the girl said they will back me up with Kia...all of a sudden her story changed "It will be better with you going to Kia about this and we will back you up then."

6. Back home, after the repair, my regular mechanic said from what he could see, KIA did NOT replace the brake pads on the drivers side and they did not machine the rotor on the passenger side (which they told me they did in great detail).

7. I and my family will never buy a kia vehicle again. I will spend every opportunity posting on line this experience and how worthless the Kia guarantee is.

8. Even if you reimburse me for this I will still have lost the entire day that I spent at Kia Lehighton and the amount of time I have now spent dealing with Kia trying to get my money back.

That is where I now stand.

Today 04/11/16 I had an appointment to have my Kia looked at since the gearshift got stuck in drive. I took my car to the Sterling KIA dealership bryan tx and left it there with Danny wright the service manager. When I returned he explained that they drove my car and tried to see if they could make the gearshift stick which he informed me they could not. I noticed the low tire pressure light on and called Danny about it he told me to bring back my car and I explained I was already at work. I told him I would have one of my employees bring it back. When my associate arrived at the dealership he called and said that there was a screw in the tire and was told that it would be $15 to have it patched. I asked the receptionist why would I have to pay to have my tire patched? she told me it's not covered in the warranty. I am pretty upset since when I drove the car Sunday there wasn't a tire pressure light on, I drove it to the dealership no light was on. Pulling out of the dealership the tire pressure light was on. I spoke to James Berthold already about being told I have to pay $15 for having practically a band-aid placed over my tire and I feel my tire should have been replaced instead of receiving a patch job. I called back and left a voice message for James and had not received a callback regarding the issue. The first car I purchased from this Sterling Kia dealership a Mazda on March 25th the interior lights shut off whenever the signal light handle was touched and had a overbearing smell of smoke in it. So on March 28th I was offered the Kia instead. I can honestly say I was having a great car buying experience from this dealership until today. To make matters worse I sent a email to the KIA dealership sales manager Shawn Freeman regarding the issue and and he tells me how his he bought got a nail or whatever in it. The difference between our situations is he drove his car and got a nail in it. I dropped off a car without screws in the tire and no low tire low pressure light on. He also had the audacity to reply to me when I responded if the ordeal isn't taken care of I would no longer like to do business with the dealership. "This isn't like Walmart returning a car doesn't work that way!" ...I guess the service at both places are the same. I should have taken the signs with the first car as a sign not to conduct business with this dealership! I called to dealership several times for someone else's number to speak to other than the people listed.

On March 9,2016 I test drove a 2014 Ram 1500 quadcab SLT 4x4 & noted it was very muddy underneath chassis engine bay & requested the clean it before I was buy it & sales Mgr.agreed to clean & detail truck when I was to pick up class III hitch installed on Due Bill.
On March 10,2016 I noticed some dents & scratches on Left rear roof on quadcab
& sent photos of Damage to Sales Mgr.
Sales Mgr.said they would fix & I got a repair estimate of $500.
On March 14,2016 I returned Truck for repair & was called in to talk to Mike the Dealership Mgr.who was verbally abusive arguing that he was not going to repair the concealed damage on roof.
Only after I advised that I will file a BBB complaint did he realize & agreed to repair damaged roof on March 14,2016
On March 15,2016 I received my truck with 3 small apple size dents removed but no repair to the deep scratches in paint on roof. Very disappointed with the poor service & Bad attitude of Dealership manager Mike who was very
rude.
I had to order & pay for the Class III
Hitch myself since this Dealership Service department can not even arrange to have $104.15 part ordered & installed in 30 min.as promised on
March 14;2016 as agreed on Due Bill.
I will have Hitch installed myself for $50 - $75 when part arrives this week.
Also, Winshield has hundreds of small pits that makes it difficult to see out winshield in direct sun the pits are like having glitter on windshield.

I was one a loyal Kia driver. Recently I took my car to Kia of Tupelo, MS because the check engine and oil lights were on and they are the nearest Kia repair dealership to where I live in Columbus, MS. Needless to say, I had the worst experience of my life. They kept my car for a month and a half without repairing the problems. I called them every week to inquire of the repairs but they only gave me the run around.Finally, i spoke with a mechanic who told me that the valve cap needed to be changed before they could even look at my engine. that was not covered by warranty and would cost me $232.00. The part cost $26.00 but the labor cost $200.00. This is a job that takes 15 to 30 minutes to do but they ripped me off. They then tried to sell me another car cause they said the engine was damaged due to lack of maintenance and that i had to show them every receipt for repairs from the first day of purchase of the vehicle. They lied to me, overcharged me and did not give my money back. i left this dealership feeling like i had just been raped. I will never buy another Kia car. their dishonesty, disrespect, and treachery killed it for me. i am done with them.

I went to a dealer in Tacoma Washington and got nothing but attitude disrespectful people dishonesty and a bunch of scammers I'm a single mom with 2 kids that is stuck with no car and car Pros in Tacoma will not give me my down payment back since I didn't buy a car there

I own a 2014 optima with 32000 miles on it. And up and until this morning I had nothing but high praise for. When I went to start it, nothing. Upon calling my local dealer ( carriage Kia ). Nothing but run around. No help, no compassion. Nothing but, it's not my problem basically. So here I sit with a broken down car, waiting on a tow truck that was supposed to be here an hour ago. The last Kia I will ever own

Been having issue with 2016 Kia sorento sx since i bought it new in July 2015. The radio keeps going in out and after 4-5 it's been to dealer finally did a crappy fix which lasted about 5 months. I called dealership and Kia Corporate unfortunatley they will no even look at it unless the audio is out. It's an intermittenr issue what part of intermittent do they not understand! With the history of vehicle you would think this would be an easy fix. So I am now stuck with 40k plus piece of crap! Never again will I buy this product the service is horrible! Offers no solutions to customer what so ever. Don't buy into 10 year warranty as it's useless if you can't g wet service. I would gladly trade this car for anything other than this pos!

I have a complaint about your dealers in the Melbourne FLORIDA area. I went into two of your dealers Boniface and NorthBrevard. I was responding to an add on television that said; no credit or bad credit no money down and no one refused. I Called the dealers before I left and was told to come in. Went there they took at credit app and told me I had to have over 1000 dollars as a down payment and told me our income wasn't enough. My husband and I hAve over 1400 dollars a month coming in . WE CAN AFFORD A 99 dollar payment a month. I feel you guys are being discriminative against us. I thought you were a good company to do business with.I am so disappointed. We were looking so forward to owning a Kia. I feel your advertisement is misleading and I am going to file a BBB complaint against you.

Had a recall and a oil change at Nutley Kia in nj. Had a 915 appointment and I watched them bring cars in the back door that came after me, I asked them why and they said they had different mechanics for different jobs, o so I sat there for a hour before the even took my car in mean while I watched two people who came after me get there cars done first, this is such bull and bad way to do business, my time is just as important as anyone else's. I am so disappointed that people do business this way. They all knew I was pissed too.

the Kia in Jefferson City MO. I went in Last SAt. they were going to lease me a car sign paper and sign my old title (which they still got) than called me in Monday and told me they had a better deal for me 72 at 1.9 intrest. so I signed all the new paper work . Keep In mine that I told them I owed 17 on my old car. which the guy wrote down and we talked about. So Tue. they called me back in again and told me they could not do it because the women doing the paper work put down I only owed 13. I looked at that guy and he lied right in my face. turn It over to better business bureau

Evergreen Kia gives free oil changes to all new car customers. When I went in to receive my first free oil change I was informed that from the higher ups I would have to pay $44.99. This I feel is do to when I received my customer satisfaction survey I gave average ratings across the board with the exception of a below average rating for the sales rep. I gave her a below average rate cause I had already negotiated the deal prior to coming to the dealership. I paid the entire lease purchase up front, she tried to get me to pay more by trying to tell me my credit was to blame. When credit has nothing to do with a full purchase price. The general manager of the store called me and berated me over the phone as well as the sales rep. texting me derogatory statements. This is an injustice to disregard company policy for giving an honest assessment of service provided. I would like to be contacted by a Kia representative that is not affiliated with this dealership so that I know what action can be taken against this dealership and its managers for this discriminatory practice that I feel is an actionable offense.

On 11/28/2015 we had a valve cover gasket replaced on our 2008 Kia Sorento, (Oil was leaking into alternator and shorting them out.) A week later, the oil is still leaking out. I have (2) photographs of the repairs, showing the leak and the RTV caulking caked on to stop the leak. I need someone to review these photographs and advise. Does not appear to be quality work from a Kia shop. Please advise. Thank you.
