I have a 2008 Rogue. I had to replace the CVT transmission at 98K. Thankfully I bought a warranty when I bought the vehicle used. It covered the first replacement. 37K later the newly replaced CVT transmission went in the middle of a very busy 5-way major highway/intersection. The vehicle came to a dead stop,out of nowhere,with no advanced warning. A very serious situation, that again thankfully, I was not seriously hurt or killed.After getting it towed to the dealership ( very good customer there)and speaking with a customer affairs representative, Nissan decide to give me $2000 of the $3100 due to replace the transmission. Not that I`m not appreciative of the $2000, but after having the transmission replaced once, and the second one only having 37K on it , I just think the fair thing for Nissan to do, is to fully cover the replacement of transmission. A transmission with known problems,that Nissan as already DOUBLED the original warranty on it due to the problems that they have been having with it. It been so bad that they may eventually have a recall on it .Not to mention the serious injury or death that I could have incurred. Does anyone have a contact person, that would have the ability to do the right thing and and authorize the payment for full replacement of the faulty transmission?
