COMPLETE BULL. I just downloaded a 60$ game and must use windows live, I locked myself out and now I have to wait almost a week according to the rude douchebags that took 45 minutes to call.

This has to be the most worthless help line i've ever dealt with. I've beent rying for a week to get back into my email. I finally called to get person to person help and was informed that there is no email support by phone. so if you are having problems with your email account...you have to email the support team. THIS IS THE MOST IDIOTIC AND INSANE THING I'VE EVER HEARD OF! Once I regain access to my account, I will deactivate it. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME

HORRIBLE!!!! I just got off the phone with Live unsupport team. 40 mins., 6 transfers and skyhigh blood pressure later... Finally told that they DO NOT provide phone support. Only email. Well they have emailed me a link 8 times this month, which takes me to a page that says there is a temporary problem with this service. Try again later. Tried it 100 times in 30 days. Same message. I have never experienced such lousy customer service in my life. Gmail, here I come...

One of the worst experiences I've had with technical support. Did not help at all! Was told they could not offer support for Windows Live via telephone, only by email. Had to call back 3 times to talk to 2 different people and 45 minutes later, still no results. Don't waste your time.

Every two to three months I get locked out of my windows live email. There are no warnings whatsoever.

And, then when you try to contact them they transfer you and leave you on hold for extended periods of time.

This is horrible! I can't check my email and I don't know why.

Dont know what the problem was for everyone else listed here but I was answered in less than five minutes and spoke to a real person who was kind and helped instantly... only took 3 minutes to fix problem and I'm back on my way... Great customer service !Great Job!

i am having trouble trying to get a hold of the tech people and all i get is a recording is they are closed and i want to do is get a code to get access to my email is that so hard to just ask for help thank Microsoft you are just giving me grief.

Horrible, Horrible, Horrible. My son has played xbox live for many years and xbox before that. He got locked out of his account for absolutely no reason whatsoever and we have spent weeks trying to recover his account. xbox live and windows live have the same ownership and It's a sad day when they pretend they are separate all in the name of swindling young kids out of hard earned money and locking them out of xbox live when all they want to do is play the %#$&%@ game. We have jumped through hoops between xbox live and windows live running back and forth between pc and xbox, waiting for e-mail resets that do not work, and talking to customer service tech that are morons. I think they want us to pay for a new account, when out present account has 8 months left. They want to steal our microsoft points we paid dearly for. This has left a sour taste that won't go away soon. I give their customer service an F- mostly for ignorance and poor attitude. I'm sorry to leave such a negative note but I want others to know they aren't alone.

This has to be the most horrible support system I've ever encountered. I call Apple support and immediately get a live person to resolve my issue. I have called this number and other numbers in vain for more than hour, waiting, waiting '” only to be disconnected! Unbelievable! I will never, ever buy an MS product again.

since when did we stop helping your customers, I have been given 7 different phone number and no one will help. completely unhappy with the way you treat your client. Sad, I will never purchase another product from you, since other companies have support, then I will use them. If one more of your people tell me they are sorry they can't help, I think I will explode!!!!!!!!

worst customer support , my two account linked to one another got hacked and i kept on repeating my self and sending emails and jumping the hoops for 3 months no response and then i tired to chat with customer support, no luck in fact they are useless and rude i called customer support from this site still no progress i plan to ditch the windows account for ever and my xbox is locked as well its pathetic.

Was set up (use Outlook Expess XP) but was set up through HP, Windows and the help on the Live site one line. Haven't received any email since then. There is a problem with their support (All of them). I will have a test tomorrow but if it doesn't come through I will have to spend a fourth day with all these techs and I will be a very unhappy camper (more so than I am now!)!. This is not a helpful site in my eyese. Someone can hopefully change that tomorrow!

Has the the absolute worst tech support ever!!!! I got locked out for too many failed attempts at my security question and I try to call/email tech support and get no response! Ive waited for almost a week with no anwser!

I am also a victim of being hacked and then the "Windows Live" lack of support. I have been waiting for a week for a password reset. I finally received an e-mail with a link to reset my password. Now I consistantly get a message stating "there is a temporary problem, please try again later". I think it is time to give up on Microsoft and stick with g-mail.

How to report Abuse or Spam in Windows Live Hotmail

This solution article provides information on how to report abuse and SPAM in Windows Live Hotmail.

To report spam or unsolicited emails:
* Windows Live Hotmail customers should click the "Junk" button to report Spam.

* Non-Windows Live Hotmail customers should address an email to [email protected], [email protected] or [email protected] (Depending on the originating mail domain: hotmail or msn or live). Attach a copy of the spam email to this email and send it. If we do not receive a copy of the email as an attachment our ability to take action against the spamming account is severely impacted.

* We ask for a full copy of the email so that we have conclusive evidence showing from which Windows Live Hotmail account the SPAM was sent. It is possible that the email address was spoofed, and we don't want to mistakenly close a non-spamming account.

To report abuse:
* Customers who wish to report abuse about harassment, impersonation, child exploitation, child pornography etc, received from a Windows Live Hotmail account should send their complaint to [email protected] with all the pertaining information.

* If you are being threatened please call your local law enforcement.

* If you wish to report abuse against a non Windows Live Hotmail account, please send the complaint to [email protected] , where domainname.com is the text that appears after the "@" symbol in the sender's e-mail address. You can also use the site http://abuse.net to identify the correct abuse reporting address.

im an xbox gamer that made some gamertag so i can play xbox. then i gave information to some website so i can play xbox. This all happened after paying 300 dollars for an xbox and extra stuff SO I COULD JUST PLAY SOME DA@# XBOX. Ive been buying 60 dollar games for years. now i just want to play Skyrim and they need my windows live account info. Jumped through hoops on a gauntlet of websites just to get here and it looks like some bash blog instead of a tech response program. for all the trouble and money i feel pretty let down. after two broken XBox 360's years of annoying people at tech support and now seeing how cool and user friendly my roomates PS3 is im about to take my cash and walk. seriously Microsoft, use the hundreds billions you get paid worldwide to keep your world wide customer base happy. i need a person to help me get my windows live info so i can JUST PLAY MY D@#* XBOX!!!

The worst customer service. If you are not a paying user, customer service cannot help you. Go online and still cant get answers. I've been trying to send attachments and getting a sign "error." STILL can't get my work done. I think it's over with me and msn...

i found out today that my x box live account got suspended till 12,31,9999. when i called them to ask why the representative told me to go on the x box live forum and comment my problem there because he is not help me hmmm . first of all if i am not able to have my problem fixed when i call , if i am going to be send to a website that is going to send me to another website only to write a comment on the forum and have to sit like a dump*** till someone replies to me why the hell am i paying 50 dollars a year ? i am tired of having to pay for every single thing on x box live so far even the digital avatar T-shirt cost's 3 to 4 $ on top of that 50$ a year and that is if you buy it year to year if you buy it every 3 month's you will end up paying 100$ a year . i guess PS3 is not that bad after all. it's time for change .

windows live technical support sucks they have no idea what they are doing or how to even help anybody it takes them forever to even answer the phones or try to help why do they even have a technical support if their not even good for anything it's some real bullsh## that they get paid to sit around and help people when their jus a bunch of dumba#### that can't do anything

ok my msn messager got blocked sayin something about spamming..ok fine since i didnt have cell phone and lord knows why they would put up something for home phone number too contact you in regards too the acount infoe..so i use my virus scaner ran scans i even reformatted my computer then made another msn messager acount and it was blocked 3 days later for spamming...how can i get the acount back..and get rid of what every crawling in there..

WINDOWS LIVE IS NO LONGER USER FRIENDLY. I HAVE FOUR EMAIL ACCOUNTS, AND CAN'T SEND OR RECEIVE ANY MAIL. NO ONE IN MIRCRSOFT CAN HELP ME, SO WHAT GOOD ARE YOU, NO TECH SUPPORT NO PHONE SUPPORT, NO HELP AT ALL. SO WHY SHOULD I BOTHER, WINDOWS LIVE, NEEDS TO BE FLUSHED AWAY.

I received no help for my blocked acct! It was like going round and round in a revolving door, I am back to square 1 trying to reset my password per windows live online directions. If my account is recovered, I will not use MSN again.

I called 1-800-642-7676 and was transferred 4 times, each time re-explaining my problem. I have had the same email address with MSN for 15 yrs but they couldn't even find my account.

I am so tired of my continual problems with this company and think it's time to close it all together!
