I had purchased a hitachi summer tm 1.5 ton airconditioner from your dealer namely K.K.Sales pvt Ltd,Allahabad,U.P.The airconditioners fan motor had a manufacturing defect from the very beginning as it had a humming sound in the fan motor which was duly verified by the technician from Hitachi service centre and the unit was changed,unfortunately the second unit also had the same problem and apart from that after replacement the swing motor also stopped functioning which was changed too,i had informed the customer care on numerous occasions about my problem but it was a futile exercise(the same can be verified by going through my various complain numbers).I even asked the dealer to replace the unit as it had a manufacturing defect but he also refused to change the unit,after numerous complaints and a threat to take legal action one technician from the service centre turned up and told that the fan motor is not functioning and needs to be changed and took the defective motor with him with the assurance that the same shall be replaced within 2 days,since then almost a week has passed but no one turned up,on enquiring it was told that a request was sent to the Lucknow store as the service centre at Allahabad didnt have the motor in stock.On 3-9-2012 when i contacted the service centre i was told that the Lucknow store had not dispatched the fan motor despite request being made and a mobile no 8799674167 of a person named Mohit was provided and i was informed that no complaint regarding my grievance was received by him,which was total lie as i had verified the same from the customer care and was informed that i had registered complaints on 5 july 2012,again on 22-8-2012 and again on 28-8-2012 which goes to show the conduct of the employees of a multinational brand like Hitatchi.I have decided that now i wont run helter skelter like this and will seek legal recourse by filing a case in the consumer court if my air conditioner is not replaced because this kind of act is not expected from a multinational brand like Hitachi.I have been reminding Hitachi on day to day basis but its of no use,all they do is giving assurance but no one bothers to call back or enquires as to wat my grievance is.I have no other remedy but to sue Hitachi.S.K.Mishra,Mobile 9335111966

Hitachi is the most useless company for the after sales service they provide to their customers. They are wasting money by introducing customer care service call centre as the poor people working at their call centr are getting abuses of all kinds because nobody from the service dept. of Hitachi would ever visit to the complaints registered with them. IF by chance they visit, no followup action would ever take place. MY COMPLAINT NO.12080300441/438 IS PENDING FROM LAST ONE WEEK FOR THE FAULT IN MY TWO A/C HITACHI BRAND 2 TONS EACH.50 CALLS TO CUSTOMER CARE NO.07930414747 RESULTED NOTHING.HITACHI GO TO HELL!!MOST USELESS COMPANY IN THE WORLD.I AM SENDING MAIL TO MY 500 ASSOCIATES TO NEVER BUY HITACHI BRAND PRODUCTS AND TELLING THEM TO FORWARD MY MAIL TO EACH OF THEIR FRIENDS AND ASSOCIATES.

My AC become unserviceable on 13 July 2012.I called your cutomer care andd was assured that my complaint will be resolved within 48 hours.
But after repeated calls after 48 hrs and litterly begging to customer care there wers just assurances. but noone arrived. after taking numbers from internet i called Gurgaon service centre , Again they made false promises. After pleading so many times finally on 17th July a technician Mr. SUMIT from Gurgaon service centre came. When we asked him about delay inservice he started laughing and saying why you brought Hitachi. Other brands are also available in market. A peson working in a company was making fun of his own company. We were shocked. He took PCB from my AC saying that the part would be replaced within a day or two. He provided his wrong mobile number. even after making repeated calls to service centre they just disconnect phone and put the reciever off when a call comes even without listening who is calling. Till date the AC has not been repaired. Your customer care centre gives standard answer that we will try to trace the service center in Gurgaon and problem will be resolved within 24 hours. But that 24 hours have not come yet.They even donot provide any senior officers’ number and disconnect the phone. I've talked to Mr Hardik, Mr Jayash ,Ms Bosco---- they just gave assurances. Number of emails sent to customer care
had a standard answer that fault will be attended immediately.
It is ridiculous that the world class
company like Hitachi cannot produce one simple part like PCB in 10 days. This shows the company’s apathy towards customers after selling the product. Your promise of attending the fault within 48 hrs is a false statement to fool the customer. Since your service personnel have taken the part I cannot even get the AC
repaired from others.You should learn from SAMSUNG and LG how to resolve customer,s complaints. I've many Samsung products and problem is rectified within 24 hrs and sometimes even before that. Our Life has become miserable in this hot and humid environment in Gurgaon. I want to ask MD of Hitachi Mr Shinichi Jizuka that if he can not provide customer care service why he is carrying his operations in India . Please go to Japan. that suits you better.

Sir,this has come to a situation wherein I had bought an AC out of my hard earned money but usage of it is as per Hitachi Company’s convenience/wish.. In view of aforementioned facts, it is requested to kindly replace my AC within 24 hrs or return back my money with interest so that I can buy AC from somebody who
would help me to use AC as per my convenience. I am attaching a folder of similar problem sfaced by people who are using Hitachi products. I am rajneesh from Delhi Jia sarai near IIT delhi, I have purchased 1.5 ton Hitachi window ac on 15/4/12 on 23/06/12 there is some gas leakage problem.I had complained on same date at 12.30 pm at night my complaint no- 12062300003 but till now problem is not resolved by them after 10 days .I have called customer care 50 times and delhi centre sheikh sarai 50 times also and talked to many seniors on no- 9312212624 and 01141007094 ,9971730318, 9650931218 many times for resolutions but the staff of hitcahi is worst in world in service even they have no manner to talk consumers.I had faced 10 days of heated delhi temperature 42-45 degree and very frustrated and harnessed by the hitachi. Now i decided to go to consumer court.The services executives not even bother to serve.
I firmly recommended to all of u please for God sake never buy hitachi products. this is the worst company i have ever used products.
I need to talk and want answer and what was my faults in this matter except i choose hitachi. Is there any one who can escalates this complaint to MD , CEO of the company.
Or the whole organization have no values in serve to consumers.

my window AC ("quadricool model) was having problem of ice formation and for the same reason I made a complain ( Complain No- 12062500538)on 25th June'2012. The service engineer attained the call on same day and the AC was taken to service center on next day i.e 26th June. Initially it was told to me that there was problem of Gas leakage and the same would be fixed in 2 days and the AC will be delivered by today. However after much delegation after two days its now been informed that the cooling condenser of the AC is been damaged and hence the same has to be replaces other wise gas re- feeling would not be possible. This I approved but now I am being told that the required cooling condenser is not within stock and the service center cant confirm when the same part will available from the head office.

This makes me feel as if I have taken some local brand with a pathetic after sales service. I just cant imagine that I posses a Hitachi AC brand which is giving me such a sub standard after sales service that after 3 days of AC gone to service station the servicing agency cant even confirm when the AC will be fixed because of non availability of condenser.

We purchased a 1.5 Ton 5 star Hitachi Window AC(summer QC) on 30th APRIL 2012 from “Gupta electric co.Sco-1117, sector 22 B, Chandigarh. This AC was installed on the next day and it start giving cooling related problem i.e. cooling was not very effective and on last Saturday, it was not cooling at all so we raised a complaint having a job number 12062301132 and after putting lot of calls, yesterday technician came and found that there is gas leakage issue and there is no gas left, that’s why not doing any cooling.

In just one month time only the gas has been leaked, I was surprised and shocked that I have bought the best brand and spent 34000 rupees for the defected product. I talked to Customer service head Chandigarh location Mr. Sanjeev about it and asked for the replacement and he told he can only replace if this kind of problem come in first month only but as in my case it is just 10-15 days more so need to speak to the dealer and his senior. I talked to the dealer as well but not getting any assurance of replacement as it’s a major issue and family is suffering because of that in such a hot and humid environment. Now trying to reach to Sanjeev he is not picking my call…Please help me out….

Dear Sir,
I have purchased an Air Conditioner machine from ur kolkata delear Golden Refrigeration Co. on 12.05.2012.
The said both outdoor & Indoor unit are not work properly. The supplier sent their mechanics two to three times
and called by over phone . atleast changed the outdoor unit. But still I am suffering with my Indoor unit. I am
repeatedly phone there servicing center, they sent some junior mechanic and he is not guided / repair properly
and the problem is not solved.
The Indoor unit problem is when I want to on the machine, beside the point of light another red light blink and the
AC is not run. This problems creat several times. Then I have to put off the switch and again to on the machine and
it is working properly. After some time the same problem creat again and again. Whole day I face the problems.
I have purchased a AC machine from a famous Company like HITACHI. I faced after purchased last one and half
month several times.

You are requested to solved the matter as early as possible, I am fed up with this dealer. Please changed the Indoor
unit immediately and take necessary action at your earliest. Otherwise I have to go to consumer court.

i have purchased new 1.5 ton AC model no. SUGOI RAU518HSDD from Gupta Electronic co. Sec 22 B Chandigarh vide invoice no 018767 dt 7/6/12 which was installed by the dealer on 10/6/12 night which is not working from day one just after 15 minutes of installation .next morning We went out side home for two days and when i came back on 13/6/12 i m continuing calling dealer and hitachi customer care but no body bother and seems interested to sort out the problem . Now one week has been passed and my small kids and aged mother having problem in so hot weather without AC even after paying almost Rs 40000 .
Dealer dint' registered my AC on net up to 15/6/12 then I have moved a complaint on 15/6/12 to Hitachi customer care but till date no one has visited from Hitachi. I have spent my hard earned money in buying AC of Hitachi instead of any other cheaper AC.
I request you to solve the problem in next five days as Eight days already has been passed complaining regarding defective AC. I shall approch Consumer Forum as well as media after five days. This shows Hitachi has week irresponsible staff and poor service after sales and cheap dealer like Gupta Electronic & CO..

Now i Just have one way to approach Consumer forum regarding installation of defective AC and my harassment , mental tension and problems to my aged week mother and small kids.
I m giving you five days notice after that i shall go to consumer forum and u will have to pay for all my harassment and tension.


In reference to the above complaint lodged on 19/6/12, i m continuing calling Mr Sanjeev Hitachi Representative cell no 09316040512 to solve my problem since 19/6/12 but all in vain and no satisfactory action has been taken yet .
Please arrange to change or repair my newly installed AC up to Monday 25/6/12 otherwise legal action against Hitachi and dealer Gupta electronic co. sec 22 B chandigarh shall be taken from my side as i m completely harassed calling Hitachi again n again and my widow aged sick mother and small kids suffering badly on account of defected AC installed by HItachi dealer.

This is Ashwani khurana from jalandhar. my registered cell no with hitachi service centre is 9888447100. we have got four hitachi A.C. installed in our house. we called the hitachi service centre for service in the mid of the may 2012, the service executive on visit said that one of your ac has gas leakage and needs to be refilled . we asked him to go ahead and they refilled the gas after two days but inspite of refilling the gas the ac didnot gave proper cooling and we again lodged the complaint on 20.05.2012 at the service centre no.0172-3532484 but no action was taken the complaint was lodged once again on 23.05.12 and again on 26.05.2012. the engineer came on 28.05.2012 and after checking the same commented that he is unable to understand the problem and shall send his senior for the same which didnot turned back even after waiting for another 5 days and thereafter we once again called up at the service centre on 03.06.2012, 06.06.2012, 08.06.2012 and so on more than 10 times continuously till today 21.06.2012 and nobody is there to give any proper reply nor is the complaint being taken up. we have even called the owner of the local service centre at jalandhar mr kamal arora over his cell phone no.09592187777 for a no. of times but this very personality normally doesnot picks up the phone and if at all by mistake the call is attended by him his reply is it will be done today only and thats all........ i'm now absolutely fedup of calling the service centre and unable to find out the solution for what to do next other than go to the consumer court.

This is the worst service I ever get from Hitachi Singapore!



My Hitachi fridge dies on me suddenly without any warning on last Tuesday (12/6/12). I called your customer service for servicing; your technician came on that very afternoon.



He told me the PCB board is faulty and changed a new one for me as well as the fan.



The fridge was up and running well after the service but had this error message F0…04 on the LCD screen keep flashing on the next day.



I contacted your technician, he told me the monitor and he will come again to check again. Therefore, he came on Thursday afternoon to change the senor.



But we still get the same error message after replacing for the new sensor. The fridge start to lost its coldness over the weekend and I have to park all my frozen food at my neighbor’s house hoping that your technician can solve my problem on Monday. However, your technician called me on Monday morning to advise that my fridge need to be send back to the workshop for detail check. In the meantime, Hitachi will T loan me a fridge till my own fridge is up and running again. All these have to be done on Tuesday (19/6/12) as the schedule for Monday is FULL. Again, we have to suffer another day without a fridge…ok fine…no choice, we have to accept it.



I received your T loan fridge a moment ago. To my horrible, the T loan fridge is full of a foul smell and is MOULDY!!!!



How can Hitachi send such a fridge to customer?!!!???!?!?!?!?!?



How can Hitachi expect me to put all my food stuffs into such bad condition fridge??!!!! How can Hitachi provide such a sub standard service?!!!



No more Hitachi products!!!

I have purchased Hitach Window AC,this AC stopped working on 15th june 2012 mid night and i lodged complaint on very same day.Service request no.12061602870.I contacted customer care no.three times and the response is so lousy that today is 18th of june 2012 but no one has contacted or approached to repair this AC.Iam amazed that such a reputed name is worse in attending customer complaint.
Will recommend my all nearer and dearer not to purchase Hitachi product.

I Have buy hitachi window Ac few months back but after one month of buying ,it stops working and 4 days after complaining they came and said it is due to dust and close the complain himself with out our satisfaction again I have complain again they came after 4 days and do nothing and close the complain and my AC is not cooling and all the money has wasted, it is better to buy another company AC.

Bought fridge model RZ660AND7KX 660 lt 2 door from Malhotra Enterprises on 22.09.2008. Seriously regret why we went for HITACHI name.Such costly products but abnormally worst kind of service support. Been head of product support myself in large companies but never seen such callous attitude to customer complaints.

This machine giving problems of improper cooling since starting. Last year Hitachi service had taken this to workshop & replaced the cooling coil. Not much effect !!

On 8th april 2012, we lodged complaint vide no.12040801779, for improper cooling as things were getting stale & freezer material was not frosted.But to my horror inspite of following up every day & visiting their service center in Sec 16 Gurgaon (seven km from my place), I could finally get them to visit my place on 17th April only.Some tinkering by mechanic Vijaypal, cutting off electronic dampner unit from circuit & fridge declared ok, pending replacement of Dampening unit.Paid 275/- service visit fee.

Problem still persisted & I visited service deptt on 21st May, to call them again for rechecking the fridge.Surprised to know they had closed the earlier complaint without full resolution.Registered complaint again vide no.12052101961 on 21st May & on 22nd May mechanic Vijaypal came, checked cooling & found both freezer & fridge temp to be higher by nearly 8-9 degree C. Solution-fridge needs to be sent to service center at Sec 16.

Now starts the actual tormenting. Since 24th when the fridge was taken by them, I have been calling them up, visiting them every second day, but no response to calls by Mr.Kuldeep & no commitments and for one full week they could not diagnose the problem.On 30th May they changed the compressor but no effect. All the time we were suffering in this heat without a fridge. After loosing my patience, I blasted them in there office in early June & Mr.Patel somehow managed for a service fridge on 4thJune.He felt helpless as there was no competent mechanic with him & person from delhi would come later on.Ultimately they called some one from Delhi, flushed the condensor coil & I was informed on 9th June that the fridge has been repaired. But they would keep it under observation for two days before sending it back. However it was delivered after five days on 14th June evening, payment 2300/- for gas filling & transport.Today 15th June morning we found it to have same improper cooling with fridge portion worst than earlier condition. Now even the service fridge has gone.

Since morning no body is picking phone & I am back to square one as on 8th April, with compressor changed & all possible repairs done by HITACHI.WHAT DO I DO NOW ?? WHOM SHOULD I APPROACH ?? IS THERE ANY JUSTICE FROM HITACHI AFTER WE BUY THEIR SUCH COSTLY PRODUCTS.WILL SOME BODY LISTEN IN HITACHI AS THE EMAIL COMPLAINTS ARE ALSO FORWARDED TO THE SAME GURGAON SERVICE CENTER.

GOD SAVE THOSE PEOPLE WHO HAVE BOUGHT HITACHI PRODUCTS. NEVER EVER BUY THIS BRAND.

I am amazed at horrible customer support provided by Hitachi. I lodged a service call on 5/6/2012 by calling there customer care number 0172-35324848. I was told that someone will respond within 48 hours. Sadly, 7 days have passed and no one has responded to my daily repeated calls and emails sent to customer care mail ID. Every time I call I am given a standard reply that "A reminder has been sent" and my call will be attended urgently. TO MY SHOCK I AM TOLD THAT THEY CANNOT QUESTION THEIR SERVICE CENTERS BECAUSE THEY ARE SENIORS AND "WE CANNOT ASK THEM STATUS OF SERVICE CALLS". BS! When I looked on the net, I'm amazed by the no. of people experiencing this terribl Hitachi customer support. They claim to be handling "Customer with Care" but reality speaks otherwise. SHAME ON HITACHI!

I am highly disappointed with buying the product of Hitachi (1.50 Tonne Window AC) which within 14 months of purchase has started showing major issues - clear case of manufacturing defect.

I am ashamed of my decision of paying a premium of 40% over other brands, and getting such a disappointing product.

On top of it, my mails to service team are going unanswered - not even a single acknowledgement from their side.

Af I took a decision to buy a window air-conditioner make DAV 518ERD on February 11th, 2012. Though expectations were high but results and experience was highly disappointing.

The machine was installed by engineer on April 15th, 2012.

After using the machine for a week or so we observed that the machine was not working properly and was not able to cool the room.
Complaint for the same was registered with your service center in May'12 and after all possible confusions that your guys could create finally the engineer came for inspection.

As per engineer, there was a leakage of gas due to which performance was not up to the mark and he lodged the complaint with service department for rectification of the same. The machine was picked after 2 days from the date he visited us for check-up.

We received the unit after a delay of 4 days from the scheduled delivery date and that too was not compensating enough for the trouble caused as machine is still the same rather I am afraid if some mishandling or removal of spare is done as its worse than before and giving hot air like a hair dryer.

apart from this scorching heat, attitude of your engineers and service standards with so called courtesy are really heating up things & I am frustrated with the services offered.


We have paid full amount for a brand new air-conditioner and not for a seconds/ Refurbished stock.

I just want to replace this unit with a brand new at the earliest as I am not going to accept this faulty unit at any cost. And I hope this harassment over past 2 months would be good enough for people to tighten up screws of those sleeping and ruining your brand image.
But As said I believe HITACHI is WINDINg up its operations as none of the nos are working. It is rediculous. HEY GUYS DONT EVEN THINK OF BUYING THIS BRAND.

I purchased 1.5 tons split AC on 14.05.2012 which has not been installed properly till date and is also not cooling proprly .
I made a service request on 20.05.2012 thru Lotus bhopal vide call no 12052001648 dt 2005.2012, but technician has not yet came for any service. its been around 20 days. my installation is not completed and is left in accident prone condition.
I've made numerous calls and complaints to lotus bhopal as well and customer care /service centre of hitachi Bhopal, but no rsponse.
Furthermore, The ac is not working properly since 10days and we have stopped using in this peak summer .

By reading ideas , views expressed by other consumers It seems hitachi is planning for winding up its business in India that's why customer complains are not being attended .

I have a 1.5 tons spt. AC which is under AMC.
I have made a service request on 05.05.2012 vide call no 12050500525, but technician is not yet attending for servicing the machine.
Although I am requesting for servicing again on 31.05.2012 but outcomes is zero.

Resulting my impression about AMC with Hitachi is very poor.

Please look into this issue and do the needful.

offfooo!! what can i say about the poor hitachi bcz this is the worst experience for me...i have bought hitachi 1.5tn window a.c from ADITYA VISION,anisabad,patna..At the time of dealing,they impressed me after saying about their super fast service i.e...installation & other problem will done or solve within 2hrs..i shocked & challenged their voice but they conviced me properly & thus i bought hitachi ac window in stead of voltas ac...Today is the 5th day but my a.c could not installed...i call multi more times 2 dealer & also 2 service center but they don't give response...4th day when i went 2 dealer & became angry about their non-responsible stupid behaviour then they assured me that must be installed at any how....after few hours when i call again then they told that the technician is on the way 2 your house...the maximum distance is only 1km between my house & dealer,after few hours at 8pm,i called & try 2 show my frustration...they told again the same & switched off their contact number...now at last i decided 2 return the poor hitachi & 2 buy voltaas...bcz ends well then all well....thank god

I got the same issue. One technician came to fix my problem and changed 330 for home visit. Then he said once we do the service the issue will be fixed. And he did the water service and changed me 550 rupees. Still the problem remained unresolved. After that I called the customer care again, and the senior technican came to my home. He was also a non-sense guy and said bla bla bla. And he agreed to come on next day and will take the compressor. But he didnot come. They all do the false commitments and I suggest all please don't buy Hitachi AC. They are totally uncommitted guy. Poor technicians don't have any knowledge. They are only fit to do a water service. Else totally dumb guys. The hitachi post sale service is poor poor poor poor poor poor poor. So plz go for some other brand. Don't buy Hitachi...

I have had such a terrible experience with Hitachi AC I had bought. Ever since I purchased about 4 years, I have already spent some Rs 10,000 (almost every year some problem or the other) and now once again it is not working. First I was told there is some gas leakage and that would cost about Rs 4,000 and after keeping for three days, I was told there is compressor problem that too only after I called them. Why didn't the technician who came to check it initially tell me about it although he charged exorbitant sum of Rs 330 for the visit and why didn't anyone call me tell me what the problem was. Not only the piece was shoddy but the post-sale service even shoddier. I know now it will cost me another Rs 10,000 if I need to get fixed with absolutely no guarantee that it would even work for the rest of season. I have decided to junk it and buy a new one but never in my life will I ever buy anything HITACHI- the most expensive AC in the market with worst performance. I don't want to go through the horrible experience again every.
When I tried to explain the issue on phone to the customer care department, twice it was cutoff half-way through.

I purchased Hitachi AC last year in month of march and there was no wet service done anytime, the last time engineer came in feb 2012 and told us that they will come again to complete the wet service but they never turned after that and there after the service expired in month of March 2012 and after calling Hitachi, I was argued that the service is expired and there will be no free service.

Is this how HITACHI works with innocent customers?
I bought your product thinking that you are market leaders and investing more money will bring me more peace, it is so disappointing and sad to see the functioning of this company. Especially when lot of other customers have had same issue.

This has changed my mind to realize there is one thing and the most important one which definitely doesn't work in your case. SERVICE

Hi,

Last year I bought hitachi ac from gurgaon on 30.4.2011.

This year , in first week of april, I requested for wet service. But technician did dry service , telling I need to log call again.

So , I registered call on 27.4.2011 with top most priority and after that I have called 17 times( spending, nearly 2 hours) and below are few of the name of persons,with whom I discussed on 012435324848

HITACHI SERVICES very WORSE. never buy hitachi product. After sales service sucks big time.
I have buy a hitachi 1.5T split ac.after buying i have faced a huge problem that my room is not cooling.when iphone to c.care they have accepted our complain .
after 1 week they have came and told that there is a leakage in its pipe.when I told that i will not take the worst ac,just replace it.from that day 17/04/2012 till today no person came.
so,i am going to stop my emi.
SO,MY ADVICE IS THAT NEVER BUY HITACHI PRODUCTS.
