Surprisingly, I received terrific service. I had a problem with my MFC7430 and called this number for help. The technician found a solution, walked me through some processes, and, voila!, no more problem. Couldn't be happier.

READ THE MANUAL. Your warranty like for every other company is not valid if you dont have a receipt. If you dont want to listen to what the reps have to say you are just going to keep thinking in your ignorant ways.

Absolutely Horrendous.

What say we go out and collect some poor Unfortunates from the Garbage Heaps of outer Manila -- and put them on the phone!!!

@brotherprinterhater: Unfortunately, on most printers, when one color runs out -- the entire printing process is disenabled, which really sucks. What a con. Typical garbage corporation.

I have a MFC-255 and is the absolute worst ever, after thinking that ink ran out, I went to purchase all these expensive ink cartridges. I insert them in the printer and all the colors work except the black and I really needed 2 print out my boarding passes for my flight this morning and that was awful so I have to go2Kinko's and I barely used this piece of crap ...wow

Following the instructions of dialing this number and saying "operator" actually got me a sales rep, but she transferred me to tech support and I was very pleased with the result. Like many tech support depts, I got a rep with a strong accent, likely Indian, and a fair amount of script ("I understand this is distressing, Mr. Edward....")but I got a rep who was patient and correct! Admittedly, removing and reinstalling the drivers might have been a no-brainer, but I certainly didn't do it till she told me to, and, most important, it worked!

I have a DCP-130c that has hardly been used before the black ink print-head went bad. This was apparently a known issue for the device. Customer service personnel basically said too bad. I highly advise you to NOT PURCHASE A BROTHER.

I purchased the brothers MCF 7225N in January 2011. This is the worse printer, fax machine I have ever purchased. This machine was expensive. It was not worth the money and the quality of the print is the worse. The machines does nothing but make blotches and ink marks all over expernsive letterhead. The machine is very messy with the ink in the machine. In addition the machine does not use all of the ink in the cartiage before it has to be changed and then it requires a drum every time making it very expensive to operate.

I will be buying another machine and it will not be a BROTHERS....I will be throwing this machine in the garbage because its not even good enough to donate. In addition I contcated Quill where I purchased the machine and they requested I contact Brothers. Brothers customer support was rude and did not eve speak very good english. He was hard to undrrstand so he thought that by talking louder to me it would work. He told me I purchased an out dated machine from Quill and that I should contcat them. RUDE AND NO HELP....Dont by the Brother MFC67225N multi-function machine it is garbage and Brothers in not a good company.

I HATE my Brother printer, model MFC-6490CW. It is buggy, jammy, bad interface to add paper, sucks up print cartridges at a wholly unacceptable rate. It has been nothing but problem, after problem after problem. Installing it and getting it to work was a battle, the wireless printing feature (whole reason I bought the thing!) has never worked. Talk about a regretted purchase. Today, with a work report due immediately, I have an "unable to print 70" error code. This is the LAST STRAW. That on top of having to create an account to get online customer service is just completely unacceptable. Do not buy!

Wow trying to setup this wireless printer ALL DAY now.... and I am an IT guy... brother must really suck. Sorry guys tried your support (to the comment below me "its free"... so are alot of things that suck and are useless... great, guess I will hold for an hour to speack to someone that has absolutly no skills with either english or a computer.) and your support needs support, or training, or a working product to represent. thanks for nothing.

if you're looking for the brother customer serv number, you dont have to google it or something, just look at your manual and it's there..if your complaining about the hold, the answer rate will depend on how many are waiting on the line..good thing about brother is that even your machine is out of warranty already, customer serv is still free unlike w/ other brands.

I have been on hold for 50 min. I am seriously considering returning this product.

If a company has only a couple of good customer service workers and rest of them are terrible, you should never buy kind of these products. These guys are not professional, and companies hire them for paying less.

I have an MFC-495 and wish I hadn't wasted a lot of time and money; wanted a wireless and even hiring a TEO, the wireless feature does not work properly. Of course brother did not send a double-ended USB cord, costs less than $2.00. Finally found one online to order and wired it; it still does not work properly and have been waiting to talk with Cust. Serv. about 25 mins. now.

I called Brother's Technical Support to obtain a Driver for Windows 7 for my P-Touch QL-500. (I had been operating with Windows XP) My call to Brother International in Montréal was automatically routed to a firm in New Delhi, India which advised me that they would not download the new driver unless I purchased (from them) their virus protection program. I suddenly realized that apparently, in my opinion, Brother International lacks integrity.

Today Brother Rep Tiffany not only walked me through how to "reset parts life" on my HL-4070cdw which I've had for almost two years, but also answered several other questions- how to reset drum unit, how to clear memory, how to get a new belt unit. Kudos to Tiffany!

I have been on hold for over 49 minutes and no one is answering still. I am going to return my product tomorrow because this is the 3rd time I have called today, morning, afternoon, and evening, and the non-existent customer service is simply unacceptable, especially with a technical product.

I have called 2 days in a row now with different problems and both days they were really helpful and lead me threw the correct process to get printing again. Turns out both problems were issues on my end and not the printer.

Thank you for the tip about saying "Operator". Got India to take all my information, but was transferred to a nice fellow who helped me with my MFC9120 CN which was printing a magenta stripe.

Just got a new Brother MFC-490CW printer and had it hooked up and running wirelessly in no time under Ubuntu. Everything was great except that I would not print black.

Called this service number and spoke with a nice lady down in Mephis who had me do a "deep cleaning" from the control panel. And as that didn't fix the problem, she's shipping me a new machine.

Top Notch.
