I have been using the BOA in Mechanicsville, MD (southern maryland) for numerous years. Recently it seems like the entire staff has been replaced (all at once over the past few months) and it is already difficult enough adjusting to the new faces handling my money (although i admit the new girls are very polite and i feel like they care), but then when you add bad customer service (attitude, assistance, length of time in the bank) on top of that it makes me want to switch financial institutions. Every so often I will visit the bank with a check made out to myself and my wife - back in the day I could cash it without any problems, then it became where she had to be there and sign it in front of them, then it became that I had to put it in my account and then pull it out. I know policies change, but it is very frustrating when you will have two different instances and two different answers. There have been two young girls (20's) and a lady (40's) who will ask me to wait while they get their manager to look over the check, but then there is an older lady who I know has worked in the bank for a very long time, who will just automatically tell me no. I see her on both sides of the bank, so I dont know if she just gets confused going back and forth, but why is there such a difference between the younger girls and this ladys response to my transaction? Between that and when a simple transaction takes a long period of time , it makes me not want to come inside or even use this location. When I asked why she could not cash the check or give me money back off it, or ask the manager her response was "well because policy says that we cannot do this anymore" Instead of being helpful or polite she is very rude and acts like I do not know what she is saying. I already called corporate and filed a complaint as well. While I understand and appreciate her being with the bank for years, I would much rather go through the drivethru now and get helped promptly (even if i wait for a manager to say my chk is ok) and enjoy my experience there instead of being frustrated inside by the lady who seems so confused.

Albuquerque, NM @ Juan Tabo branch. You two are very rude and unprofessional. You handled my situation totally wrong by sending me to another branch. Isn't that the reason there are numerous locations?? Regina your one hateful person on your customer service skills. You need to treat everyone equally not the people that have the most money! Betty told me incorrect information and now you guys are dening it! Bank of America sucks and so do your employees!

I made the mistake of depositing a fraudulent check and once I was notified of my mistake I quickly tried to correct the mistake as soon as I could. Now the risk department closed my account and says I can no longer have an account of BOA. What can I do about this?

I write to launch a complained about funds which were transferred from the Bank of America but they are untraceable.



On January 20, 2013, Edward Martin, American Citizen and CEO of Malamulo Hospital in Malawi (Working under Adventist Health International) transferred (through an International Wire Transfer) a total US$900.00 from his account with the bank into an account of Stellenbosch University, ABSA Bank, Stellenbosch Branch, Account Number:



This money was transferred as tuition fees for me at Stellenbosch University and Reference was made to my name: Sanned Lubani, Student Number:



According to the information of the transaction on Bank of America's website, the transaction bears the following information. Amount: US$900.00 (Fee: US$45) Order number: 90081226, Confirmation number: 20130122B6B7HU2R004041, Status: Complete. It is also good for you to know that the Bank of America did not send or Edward Martin, the proof of payment. (Find attached the screen shot of the transaction).



However, the problem is that when the transfer was completed this money could not appear in my account. I made an inquiry at Stellenbosch University through the Student Finance Officer and I was told that the only way for the funds to be claimed and be transferred into my personal student account is that I should produce an authentic proof of payment from the Bank of America. The proof of payment, she said, must include the account into which the transaction was made and who the recipient is by name and number.



I therefore request that Bank of America send me a proof of payment bearing the information required. This proof of payment must also be sent to Stellenbosch University Student Finance Officer's by email: yjohnson@sun.ac.za or Fax:


It is now about 6 months and this money is still untraceable. Mr. Edward Martin has tried several times asking Bank of America to help but nothing fruitful has come out of that.



I do not know if I have contacted the right people to handle the complaint but I hope that you are in a position to do something.

You have a nasty rude teller at your Ship Bottom NJ office I drive up to cash a check issued from your bank.. and she says didn't you read the sign, I said what sign? D She says do you have an account her, I said no .. Im cashing your bank check !!! She says I cant cash it at the drive in And tells me to come inside !! What the hell kind of business is this I'm a customer with your check !!! I'm not going inside to get fingerprinted ! Who the hell made you king of the banks around here anyway! Get off your dam high horse Your bank and employees around here at the Jersey Shore is not liked at all !! Nobody has a kind word about you lousy bank !!! I'm glad and never will do business with your lousy rude ,rotten bank !!!!! Thanks for nothing !!!

Is there no way to speak with a real person.I have been call every 15 mins for 5 days and always get recording that all operators are bust and will be long wait one day I waiter for1hour and 36 min and no one ever picked up, This is very bad start for a new account. Please send me a phone number to talk with a real person. thank you David Hall account I need to speak with some one so I can get my social security direct deposit set up.

My complaint is toward Teller Rogelia of Center Street Branch of Berkeley California. She would have me waiting at front line of current exchange over 20 minutes for which she was responsible. When the wait line stretches all the way to the door, she would close her window and slack off in the back somewhere. I asked around and got the confirmation that she has a habit of creating a lot of drama to lower amount of actual service to customers by sneaking off somewhere or dumping in other people's lap. I'm looking forward to the day when BofA can straighten out some of the slackers who are giving customers a huge headache.

Customer Service Representative by the name of LOUIS who did nothing but rudely interrupt, yell, and completely disregard everything that I was saying. He did not know ANYTHING and did absolutely nothing to help or even try to help.

I am trying to reach customer service in New Delhi to reactivate my account with you but find it difficult to get help. I sent my assitant to the brach in New Delhi to check what needs to be done to reactivate my account. My assitant was given the customer service number and asked to give a call and check as information could not be given at the branch. I gave a call on this number and I explained the situation and sort the procedure. The person attending took down my hand set no and promised that some one would contact me and giude me. It is now almost 24 hrs after the call but no one has bothered to call back. I need help immediately
