I have a Metabo LD60. I work underground everything is working well but suddenly when I measure my tunnels it is showing 255 or 250 or 290 and it keeps on for months what is the problem what is the cause and why is it happening

Hi, I have a Metabo Radio Charger RC 14.4-18 and can't operate it using the Metabo L-ion 18V 5.2Ah battery although it is fully charged. There is station display on the LCD but no sound comes out even at full volume, and the light too doesn't come on when button pressed. However when using AC, radio works perfectly
Also the radio was working perfectly using battery when purchased
I did use the same battery on a Metabo cordless grinder and had to recharge it couple of times. When i reconnected it into the radio that's when it didn't work
Please advise what could be wrong with the radio battery operation?
