The toys are cool, kids want them, we buy them and instead of putting a fraction of that money into Customer Service, they put less, down to decimals, into it by shopping it overseas where tech companys have people working these jobs for 13 cents an hour.

If you're going to ship jobs overseas, SOMEONE should be looking at the service they are providing, and helping customers.

At least we can all see what others think. And with the success they saw with the LeapPad, customer service issues will become VERY popular topics on the web....the "2011 toy of the year" will get the same TERRIBLE service as all of the other products.

A product sold out globally for 2011 holiday season will have a lot of people looking for good customer service, that they won't find.

I can't wait!!!! We'll all see this on the news soon : )

I bought a LeapFrog leap pad for my grandson for christmas, could NEVER get the thing to work. I contacted support, told them the game didnt recognize my computer i did all i could,still nothing. It is now Jan 20 and finally Amazon gave me a refund. Will never buy a leap product again. Customer support never responded to my problem.

They were exceptional with me, they did say they'd have to email the information, but I've already responded with the information necessary to process a product replacement on a Tag Pen. Will stay a loyal customer Leap Frog customer.

very hard to understand operator. had no answers to problem after call...was told i would receive an email to troubleshoot my problem maybe by monday. ...not very helpful after all the money spent. thanks leapfrog

I'M FURRIOUS MY TAG IS NOT WORKING ON THE MAG AND I'VE CALLED CUSTOMER SERVICE AND I'VE BEEN ON HOLD 3 TIMES FOR OVER 50 MIN.

I'M JUST TAKING THE MAP BACK AND GET MY MONEY BACK AND "NEVER" BUY A LEAP FROG PRODUCT.......

Ok, finally I have found a solution if your tag does not read books after you have done a "Save to Tag"!!!
1. To avoid confusion later on, remove the additional books that you have downloaded to your Tag.
2. Once you have connected your Tag and signed into your account, proceed to the "Audio Downloads" tab on the left hand side.
3. Before downloading any books, change the "Select the country in which you purchased your Tag book" to the country in which you bought the book, or the country from which the book was imported (e.g. South Africa would select United Kingdom)
4. Take care to add the correct book to the Tag
5. Unfortunately there does not seem to be a way to remove unwanted books from the library.

I have been trying for a while to sort this out. I have even tried to reset the device under the settings tab, but even this has not helped. From what I read above, it looks like there is no posibility for helpful support from this company. So I will be returning this useless device and all the books I have purchased as well to the store where it came from. Such a pitty there is no propper support.

We had to same problems. We purchased and it would say to download again and we never could get it to work. customer service helped me for over and hour and a half on the phone and then I said listen, I have had enough. She sent me a new pen with the books on it that I had purchased but never could buy more books to download on the pen. It is just a shame that this was so frustrating and my son couldn't play/read with it on Christmas like he wanted to. I would never buy again any Leap products until they get their stuff together.

I've been using LeapFrog products for years. Wonderful educational products! Also well made and fun. Had trouble once or twice in 6 years and the company completely replaced the product. I've owned Leapsters, SmartCycles, Turbo Twists, and LeapPads...love them all!!!

I having a problem also with the tag reader i bought and cant use it..when i press the play button it says ask your parent to download new stories which is i did and save them synced many times and when i play still the same..wtf is this company is selling. Its so frustrating that i spent 20 dollars for this and cant even use it.

the leap frog tag only holds 4 books!!!! 4 books, and the books have to be installed and uninstalled from a full size laptop or pc. I thought i was going to really enjoy this product but in reality since I waited to long to use it and can not return it, i'm sure it will be in the donate bin within a few weeks. I can't download it from my netbook! this is crap, this product is way to expensive to be such a poor product. the represenntive tried but she could not understand the issue or what I was trying to say. this company is way to difficult to spend my money on. CRAP COMPANY do not waste your $, maybe purchasesecond hand worth about $5. books maybe $2

leapfrog is making alot of money of us parents that work for a living.. to buy our children good products i bought my 2 daughters a leap frog leapster 2 for christmas my younger daughters leapster2 didint even work when i got it brand new from a local store when we opened it.... could be an honest mistake... but 3 days after my older daughter came to me and said she cant do anything... so i tried to operate it. which didint work it turned on worked looked like it was working but the pen wasint doing its job. i wish these companys would make there product for children.. we all kno that kids arent easy on any thing...

Wow was looking for a number to customer service when I stumbled across all you disgruntled customers! And I understand your pain I to have had problems with companys before. However so far not with leapfrog, tho I have not attempted to contact them yet so we will see. I have to say I have the V-reader and the Tag reader and have had them for some time now and have never had the slightest issue. I have a 13 yr old as well as a 4 yr old so I am not new to Leap frog and this will be the first time I am in need of customer service. My issue is with the Click start system, I am on the third one with the same problem, The mouse does not work properly. I wish you all luck in getting your issues resolved. If there is a question with V-reader or Tag I can try to help please ask I will try.

Leapfrog company is making a lot of money from us parents and can't get it together. I bought 2 explorers as Christmas gifts, one works and the other freezes and doesn't work. I can't even get through to customer services for a replacement never again will I buy from them again, I bought tag pen, leapster2, explorer, I should of just got them the ds, atleast nintendo has better customer service.

Totally agree with set up! I have the crammer. For three months I hav tried to use/ install the leap connect only to have it not recognize the thing. I found online instructions to put in update mode; now, my child can even play the games that were preloaded. If it wasn't for this site I wouldn't have a phone number to even call them. Obviously they already know. Emails are not answered.

I've tried all day to add a new book to my daughter's Tag Learning System. This was absolutely the worst experience I;ve ever had setting up a toy. Why not already have this set up. They take your money and don't tell you how hard it will be to use the item. My daughter got several new books for Christmas and can not use them. Now I have been on hold for the last hour. This is crazy. GIVE ME BACK MY MONEY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Bought the camera attachment to go along with the Leapster Explorer and no matter what we try, it will not work. The icon appears on the device's home screen but when you touch the icon it says camera has been disconnected, even though the camera is firmly inserted. Have tried all manner of uninstalling & reinstalling, unplugging & replugging...nothing works. Attempted to contact customer service yesterday and spent 45 minutes on hold before hanging up in frustration, because I have 2 small children, and really, I don't have 45 minutes to sit around and wait for someone to answer a phone. Currently attempting again and have been waiting on hold for 35 minutes. I am not pleased.

This is by "leaps" and bounds the worst, most ridiculous-to-set-up system I have EVER had experience with. I cannot believe they are still in business after reading the comments here. I will never buy from them again.

I did rush shipping to receive my items by Christmas. They arrived in the evening on 12/20; one was damaged, so I contacted customer service on 12/21 (40+ minutes on hold). I explained the problem and that I needed the item by Christmas; was directed email a photo of the damage, which I did within a few minutes of our call. 24 hours later, I got an email directing me to use a Sharpie marker to write a 10 digit ID # on the damaged item, and email them a photo; I did this as well. On 12/23, with no response received, I called customer service again (40+ minutes on hold AGAIN); the rep assured me that he would resolve the issue and call my home number in 1-2 hours. That was 5+ hours ago, and customer service is now closed. Christmas Eve is tomorrow so there is no way that I will be receiving my replacement item, and I cannot even give the damaged item to my child because it is covered in Sharpie marker. NEVER AGAIN WILL I BUY FROM LEAPFROG.COM

Purchased a couple of games from their online website and never recieved them. UPS made me contact them and have them start a "claim." It's been weeks and I have not recieved neither a refund of my money or the games. NEVER BUY ONLINE FROM THEM!!!

The Tag Reader is not easy to set up. It is not very user friendly and getting help from Leapfrog is almost impossible! Not matter what you do with the download, the books seam to only say "Have your parents connect you tag to your computer to download new stories and games". They don't tell you how difficult this thing is when you buy it. A product like this should be set to go without so much complications. I would not recommend this to any parent and I am going to return it for my money back.

This most definitely is the worst company to contact. Their wait times are so ridiculous you feel like hanging yourself. Go on line to order and just pray you don't have a problem. They did fix my problem when I got a hold of them but the aggravation involved is the worst. They do have good sales and always check retailmenot.com for more discount codes, saved a lot that way. It's a gamble but if the price in the store is comparable, much better dealing with the store than trying to get a hold of them. If it's a great sale, try your luck. Just waited over 20 minutes to reach someone and still no one comes on. I just don't want the additional game that bad. Too frustrating. Good luck.

ON HOLD FOR TWO HOURS NOW AND PISSED!!!
I MADE AN ORDER YESTERDAY AND AT THE END IT SAID MY CREDIT CARD WAS NOT VALID, I THOUGHT I GOT THE NUMBER WRONG SO I TRIED AGAIN...THINKING THERE MUST BE SOMETHING WRONG WITH THE CARD, I CHANGED CARDS AND IT WENT RIGHT THROUGH! HOWEVER NOW THEY ARE HOLDING THE TWO PREVIOUS ORDER AMOUNTS ON MY ACCOUNT, HOW CAN THAT BE POSSIBLE, IT DIDNT GO THROUGH??!!! REGARDLESS, I CANT GET THROUGH AND THIS IS REALLY IRRITATING!!! ANYONE KNOW A DIFFERENT NUMBER TO TRY, PLEASE SHARE BECUASE THIS IS REDICULOUS!!!
