I'm a quadriplegic and my mom has spent over 1 yr on the phone with dell adding up to over 120 hours trying to get my xps laptop fixed. she spent $2300.00 on the computer, software, and warranty so i could use the smartnav mouse that allows me to control the computer. the 1st issue was the software i was promised would be compatible with my mouse, isn't compatible so instantly over $400 was lost and no one from dell would help us with the issue so we let that go because, we realized it was a lost cause. then 2 months after we purchased it the hard drive crashed they came and repaired it after the technician installed the drive he turned it on and said let the computer do it's thing which i did... after the computer loaded up the software and drivers weren't compatible with the hard drive so i called dell and the tech on the phone connected to the computer halfway fixed it. when i left my home i was unable to use the wifi because the wifi card went out so i called back and spent longer on the phone getting 4 different techs that did the exact same thing to the point i was finally connected to karla ext. 345239 of the xps premium support team [in kentucky a AMERICAN] she got the software re-installed and the computer able to connect to my home wifi but that was the only place i could connect. i finally gave up on it and was happy with the computer just to work then about every two weeks we were back on the phone with dell so they could do the same things over again until finally they decided it was the wifi card and sent a new card. when the technician brought the card he realized he had left a wire on the original card un-pluged, he still took that card out and installed the new card and apologized for any inconvenience his mistake may have caused [11 months worth of time]. in december of 2012 we tried to renew the warrenty before it ran out and they told us that warrenty didn't existy anymore but, they could give a updated warrenty for $395 which i declined to buy as the initally warrenty never did me any good so i felt it was pointless... the last time i loqgged on my wifi wasn't working so my mom called dell they had her run a few different programs which wiped the hard drive the tech then said i'm sorry ma'am but, my shift is over let me transfer you to someone else to help you. she agreed to wait he put her on hold and then the call dropped so now i have a computer that a dell technician messed up so bad it won't turn on, no one from dell will help, and in the notes they see we've had the same issues from march of 2012 until present day February 4th 2013 but, won't help me... can anyone direct me in the right direction to get help should i take legal action or what would be best as im a quadriplegic and just want my computer to work so i can go to college.

I will NEVER buy from them! Someone stole my credit card # and even tho they said they knew it was not me (had someone elses name and address) they would not credit my money back!! I talked to multiple people was transfered tons of times and told tons of different things about when I would get my money back. They hung up on me MULTIPLE TIMES!!! They aslo refuse to give US call center phone #.

The worst cusomer service ever. Hours on hold and basically told too bad. Paid for extended coverage still won't fix it. Never by a Dell again

I have a tv purchased threw dell. Bought the extended service plan. It is a freaking nightmare to try to get them to understand my TV is broke. HP from here on out......

I have a less than 1 year old Dell desktop and have been experiencing problems with Internet access. Have been told by Dell Support and another service provider that the problem is with the driver. I spent several hours on the phone with an Indian tech who tried to walk me through things and it was a disaster. He kept repeatedly telling me the same thing over and over. When I told him we just did that, he would tell me to do the same thing. I kept my cool although completely frustrated. I reloaded the driver disc that came with the computer. No luck. Received a new driver disc from the Indian, loaded it and no luck. I have been trying for 1 1/2 hours to contact support through the website and no luck. Dell.com keeps experiencing problems. I feel your frustration. With my warranty running out, I hope I can find fix before I have wasted the thousands I spent on this supposed state of the art computer. Wouldn't it be nice to have a Service Center to take your computer to without having to go through the aggravation of the Lack of Tech Support Dept. Wish me luck.

Purchased Dell because that is what my sons college recommended. Dell does not let their trained and certified techs on campus to repairs. Must send off computer. This sucks for a college student. It would be really nice to talk to some one in US! DO NOT BUY DELL!

WHAT A REAL NICE THING TO FORCE YOU TO ASK SOMEONE WHO SPENT OVER $700.00 ON YOU! NOT TO MENTION THE MEAN MAN WHO LAUGHED ABOUT MY PROBLEM WITH MY DISC DRIVE I WISH I NEVER GOT A DELL LAPTOP.

i have contacted DELL atleast 4-7 times.
and the issue that i had was bluetooth does not work.
Its a dell notebook.The dell rep said that he has to update the drivers,I downloaded and installed the drivers.
And still had the same issue.till today no 1 from dell has called me back and has never resolved it.
All they want is money to extend the warranty.
Its easy for an american to SUE dell.
And dell please shutdown your whole industry that will be good for you.If not try to get new employees who looks to work for what he is been paid.
Dell is one of the worst.They are copy cats.

I am more then sadden but heart broken with my purchase of a Dell Inspiron One. with having the computer only a year I have had numerous problems. after many hours and calls! I was told it was the hard drive a tech come to my home to install a new hard drive and only after a few days agian more problems my computer would all of the sudden shut down, so agian I call Dell spenting 4 four hours with three different person.The first person told me it was agian the hard dive and now also a cable that needed replace, the 2nd person said no it's the operating system,then a 3rd person said oh no it is the hard dive. Dell why won't you just replace my Inspiron One I have made 6-8 phone calls and still have problem! I talk to someone I can hardly understand, their english is soooo poor. somebody help!!!!!!

Dell has the worse customer service every. I would not recommend anyone to purchase any product from them. Their tech support is basically outsourced. They always want you to keep purchase warranties and the services are aweful. HP and Mac has to be better. There is no corporate office you can contact to complain to.

I CALLED on FathersDay bec my brand new printer stopped working it was six days old.I called this year.The indian man named ApooPoo and Lucky the supervisor never even looked into the printer problem they went straight for my brand new dell comp that I got a month earlier. NOW again no prob with Computer,But these middle Eastern people for nine (9) hrs on Fathers day.Broke my computer so bad rhat they should not be allowd to work with Americans evee again. THEY HAD ME HIT THE KEY F8&F10&F12. OVER 130 DIFF TIMES IN THE SAME CALL&BROKE AND DAMAGED MY COMPUTER AND ALL MY LITTLE GIRLS PICTURES AND BABY PICTURES&DECEASED PARENTS PICTURES ARE GONE TOO.AS OF TODAY STILL NO COMPUTER. NO CREDIT TOO MY ACCOUNT AND NOTHING WORKS. OH DID I MENTION THAT WE HAVE AN EXTENDED WARRANTY. FOR THREE YEARS..what Should I do..Besides getting ready too sue thru litigation.Now I have called these middle Eastern People named Lucky ...Mel...and Marlon..they keep cursing at me and hung up on me I have neen on hold over another six hrs td.and I have been without any dell computer since I bought this Garbage..We are going to SUE ..i have 20 names of useless people who dont give a crap whether my conputer works ever again abd they broke it and to Reach an American ..Because we all know its the Americans who sell us this junk...but ofcourse they say its the best.When you need too ever speak to an American Speaking Person ..Beware it costs an additional $497.99. This is the worst service ever. and i have been hung up on and called names and treated terrible by these indian people... i hate there service, along with others it appears... there rude, mean and never follow threw with there PROMISES..we should have americans helping american on american made products, WHATS WRONG WITH THIS PICTURE?????

I have been trying to get a replacement on a printer for over a year and keep getting the run around, promised things that do not come to pass and all people I have spoken with ( one specifically Jimmy emp ID 140411) do not help, nor do they act as if they want to.

have been a dell customer for about 10 years. i am an it sales manager who actually knows how to use his computers well. the thing with most of the people here is that they are computer illiterate. most of you dont even know how to log on to a website on internet. and when u ask them to go to their browser they just turn blank. have had a very good support from all the indian techies everytime i call and have been able to get appropriate resolutions for my computers at home and at my office. personally i feel that dell deserves to be the brandname that it is and also stop critisizing the indian techies people. most of the indian toddlers can use computers better than a lot of american literate adults. learn to use the technology that ur paying for and u will be a lot happier. great work by the indian techies. keep up the good work guys.

Probably no one from Dell will ever read this, but I'll vent anyway. Perhaps someone will read this and at least give me the courtesy of an email. On 4/25/12 I spoke with a Dell representative concerning extended warranty service. I had purchased two Dell Inspirons in the last thirty days and wanted to purchase hardware warranty services. After much coercion by the representative I made it clear that I was NOT interested in a software warranty. When I was referred to a supervisor I was told I had consented to both a hsrdware and a software warranty. When I requested the order for the software package be cancelled I was told it could not be cancelled because it had aleady been processed...10 minutes earlier, After much insistence on my part I was told the software warranty would be cancelled. When I checked my account online I found that the hardware package was cancelled and the software package billed to me. I do not appreciate this kind of treatment from Dell Computers and if it is not resolved I will NEVER puchase another Dell product.

WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER
Was going to buy my 2nd sell (my Inspiron 1720 is AWESOME. The customer service reps cost you 3 repeat customers. We bought 3 at once 4 years ago and we are ready to do it again... say goodby to our 3-4k Is India still a good option DELL? BTW do a good job for a customer and he will tell 1 person do a BAD job and he will tell 20 (an old sales saying in America) I personally will tell 100+ all I asked for was help installing the driver, I had tried it myself but failed. Even after telling him I was an Disabled American Veteran and needed help due to my disability!

How incredibly frustrating to get through all the automated nonsense nonsense on the phone only to reach a person that I can barely understand! I was obviously speaking to someone in India on a very fuzzy connection and had to ask him to repeat himself over and over again. He referred me to another agent to help me further and his English was worse and he spoke even faster! Both men were polite and tried to help but it was difficult for all of us. All this for a for a simple power cord replacement that has been delayed 3 times already. If I have the same experience with Dell support in the future it will be my last order. Do we not have people who can actually speak English to take these jobs!!

I have a 2 year old Dell Pc (435t) or 9000 series with an extended in home warranty. I called for service on Monday, and they had a computer guy at my house on Tuesday, with all the possible parts he might need. He immediately diagnosed and fixed the problem. The service center people were courteous and polite, yes, a slight accent, but very easy to communicate with. I was prepared for a disaster with all the negative thins peolpe wrote. But I for one am thrilled with Dells customer service. My family has 3 Dells and we will buy another when the time comes. Good job Dell!

I am texting this from my smartphone as my piece-of-crap inspiron 6400 dell laptop does not. Work and the company is lax in complying w/my extended warranty which expires 02/02/12. I have no confidence dell will resolve my hard drive issues before that deadlne. I was shocked to find out from an outside tech that the inspiron I purchased in 2007 was actually a model that premiered 2005 and was already obsolete when I purchased directly from dell by phone. The sales person led me to believe I was getting brand new top of line. In the last 18 months I have nneede4 mother boards, 2 harddrives, 2 screens,5 wifi cards, 2 keyboards.
Currently I spent 5 hours on phone on Saturday, was transferred 7 times, performed 3 diagnostics w/ 3 different Indians only to be told an onsite tech will determine if I can get a refurbished replacement when all diagnostics say the hard drive is damaged. I have no confidence in a refurbished computer as all the replacement parts are refurbished and the computer has not worked longer than 2 weeks when their techs come out to fix this model. The last tech said the wifi card is all wrong & doesn't fit properly...that is encouraging as it is the same as the one dell sent with the machines...the techs don't even know the models they are repairing. Not to mention after being seerviced in Texas for over 2 weeks, this computer being fixed w/refurbished parts came back w/ a dvd drive that doesn't open properly an sd and thumbdrives that no longer work. A dell tech was supposed to contct me after this last debaucle and after 72 hours no one has called. I am thinking a new computer is in order and it will not be a dell.
