Long story short in July 2012 my husband lost his job.He was the only income we had as I am a stay at home mom.We called Citi and told them of our situation and they said they couldn't help us without income.Well in Oct.2012 he got a job and I started the whole modification process..Months later I am told that John Frackelton is not handling our case.Seriously where has all our information gone?And why is it that I Am still get letters stating that in 30 days we will have our answer.Just recieved a call this morning from some guy saying that I'm now facing foreclosure because I haven't made payments..I told him that I just did my taxes and that when the IRS recieves it next week I will have all the funds to pay what we owe.He told me he needed all my income and expenses before he could help me.I told him I was not gonna do this over again and that I would be contacting a lawyer Monday morning.It scares me that we will lose our house because Citi is screwing us over.

CITI morgage is HORRIBLE!!! They told me to pay $900.00 to have my ex wife name taken off the morgage where we had been divorced for several years. They kept my money and then never took her name off. When I had a insurance claim on the home they told my insurance agency who i pay seperate by the way.. that i needed to send them my check for the claim since they own the home until the home is paid off and that they will endorse it and send it back. this all just seems as nothing more but a scam.

do not! refi with citimortgage. They solicited us with overnight UPS letters and used unethical selling practices (promised things that never happened) took our money and then proceded to take over 4 months to close.All the while gaining $500 a month. The customer service was almost unbelievable, you are not allowed to call your loan consultant on the phone and if she got back to you from an e-mail in a week you were very lucky. The loan consultant we had (her name was Laura Fox) e-mailed like a 17 year old girl with a wad of bubble gum in her mouth.(no full sentences) She at one point requested a document for the third time and then e-mailed me saying "oh my gosh! I guess I have that already!"
It is my opinion that Citimortgage intentionally drags its feet to MAKE MONEY!......I will never do business with this corporation again and I intend to file a complaint with the Minnesota State Attorneys Office.

still waiting. Do not try to do a release with citi. they have my $900 and now will not return my calls. 4 months now and i have great credit, always on time, and financially good, what the hell!

Service is horrible 4 months waiting to close on refinancing they don't return calls you provide all the documents they request and send to them then they request same months later been with them 15 years would never reccomend citi to my worst enemy they are either lazy or don't give a damm about the CUSTOMER some one from the government should investigate their practices

Have been trying to do a short sale with Citimortgage for over a year. Have already lost 4 offers and are now in danger of losing the 5th. They will not return my calls or my Realtor's calls. I have had 5 different negotiators in the past 11 months..most cannot speak English.
Citimortgage has NO customer service at all. I got the offer they said they needed and still nothing.
They WANT to foreclose, they have no interest in helping at all.
I am over 250,000 underwater, lost my husband's income in a divorce and cannot afford to keep my house.

I will not bore anyone with my sad story. When I read all the complaints I know I am not alone. Yes Citi Mortgage would get a below zero rating from me. Unbelievable company everthing, you read about them is true. I am amazed that they get by with what they do. I pray that the goverment will punish them for all thier bad deeds. i am sending President Obama all these complaints. Just in case he does not already know. I wrote him last year about Citi Mortgage. We all need to kept telling our goverment about Citi Morgage. The goverment is the only one that hold their feet to the fire. Maybe one day we will all get a check from a class action suit. Citi Mortgage is just unbelievable.

Undoubtly the most slimy and disreputable bunch of characters you will ever deal with. Citi purchased by mortgage 6 years ago. I decided to apply for a refi and take advantage of a lower rate and shorter term. LTV of 55%, great income, stable job and high credit scores. Was told at time of application they could close in 3 weeks. After 4+ months of nothng but excuses, run arounds, rude supervisors, etc. I went to an independent mortgage company. From time of application to closing 22 calendar days! Even got a better rate, no points in the deal. Citi - kiss my a.. You should have been allowed to fail instead of my tax money going to a bunch of incompetent a..holes that you have working and running the place. I look forward to reading about all of the other settlements and fines Citi pays out on a regular schedule for the corrupt practices they have engaged in the past, and how they continue to screw people over now.

I can't believe that Citimortgage has outsourced our jobs, after we the people of the US have bailed their asses out.Then they start calling about a payment that is not even late, on a SATURDAY MORNING.

Well i got my modification through Citi an was lied too through the whole process, they added 11 years onto my loan, they charged me 3600.00 dollars to get it, this is worse than i had before, then i said i dont know if i want it,an they said i would have to come up with 4000.00 dollars plus my house payment, oh yea they wont let you talk to there underwrighter because its not allowed even though you have no say about anything,this whole process is fixed an crooked ,our goverment helped out wal steet an the banks ,not me i was cheated, thats the way i feel!!!!!

I was told that I had until Monday Sept 3rd to decide which option I wanted to use to catch up on the payments and prevent my house from being sold. The representative said that if I made my decision no later than 10:00pm eastern time on Sept 3rd then I could continue to work with Citi rather than their attorneys. When I called to say that I wanted to do what she recommended, which was dividing my late payments by eight and adding this amount to each payment so that I would be caught up after eight mths, the recording that answered said that the dept. was closed labor day. I left several messages explaining what I was told. I finally got in touch with a human and explain the problem and they said that they check my file and that my account manager had told the attorney on the 30th to postpone the sale date. I contacted the attorney from citi the next day and they said that my account manager told them to move forward with the sale on the 30th and that my house had been sold. I spoke with what seemed to be a good attorney in Atlanta but the price is pretty high and i'm worried that it wont help. I rented my house out because I lost my job and had a bad accident with no insurance which made me pretty broke. Before the house was sold, Citi told the renter not to pay me which was not good because I had to add 1/8 of the overdue balance to the monthly mortgage payment. Were the conversations with Citi reps and myself recorded? Any advice will be appreciated.

I have been trying to get a loan modifiation with Citimortgage. I have been denied because my ex-husband filed bankruptcy and did not reaffirm the property. The property has been awarded to me in the divorce and my ex has signed a deed to me. I have now just been told that if my loan is owned by a private investor I am screwed. I was told that private investos never grant modifications.

My husband was out of work in the motion picture business for one year in 2009. We had been homeowners for over 25 years. We started the loan modification process from hell, we kept making payments over the phone, they're processing firm is in India. All those payments cleared my bank but were not credited. I spent hours mailing, faxing, calling proving my payments were made. Every one kept sending me to someone else. In the process of approx. 5 payments missing, they sold my account to Pennymac. They seemed nice said I had to start modification process over, can't help with lost payments. After only 3months they denied us, even though my husband was working stable. They forced us to short sale our house in Moorpark. We are now renters for the first time ever. We never found the lost payments in India. I'm 50 and have to start all over. This situation was very difficult living in fear for 2years. I can say after renting one year, I am happy again. My reason for writing is to hopefully help one person that thinks loosing house is the worst thing, it's possible to get through this process and see the light at the end of the tunnel.

I called customer service trying to find out if I could print my payment voucher since it must have been lost in the mail. I was faced with a huge language barrier in that the person was in India and just did not get my message. I clearly said the mail was lost and I just needed a link to get the statement. The number of times I had to repear this message was amazing. I really don't want my financial information going to a place where Baksheesh reigns supreme and other financial values are the norm. This is a good reason to change mortgage providers to a U.S. based operation and not one that has our info overseas.

I am so disappointed,guess I should have read this web site first. Everything that has been said is true I was begining to feel the loan processor didn't like me because she never returned my calls....ever.... not once paper work I know was sent cause I made copies of everything they said had to be resent or wasn't received. I was so excited to get a rate reduction it would have meant a 500.00 reduction in my house payment. In reality it cost me over 750.00 in fees and still don't have an answer applied for loan in June 2012 it's now October and can't get anyone to respond to e-mail or anything else. they told me underwriting would take three to four days then after three weeks with no contact they tell me it takes underwriting 50 days what is this about. this is wrong on so many levels!!!

Your customer service is horrendous! I've been trying to apply for MHA progam since last month. I thought my appliction was under consideration. Today, 10-3-12, I've been on the phone since 9:12am PST, and I'm still holding (now 12:56p, PT) and I still don't know if my application is on the system. I was transfered 5 times to different departments, given wrong information, and have been holding to reach someone I keep getting an auto prompt that repeats "We're sorry to keep you waiting; all associates are currently assiting all customers ...." I am so frustrated! I just dont know what to do at this point but hang up before I lose my mind! Hung up at 12:59pm PT. Something needs to be done about extremely poor service. Mary S Carmona.

My mortgage is paid off in FULL! i have all the payments and proof from my bank statments. CITI MORTGAGE says i lack in payments!!!!!!! im getting 3 different letters from them from 3 different locations with 3 different numbers! last final letter they said they are foreclosing my house because i owe 536.00 i hope this company burns in hell.

Citimortgage does not know what customer service is. I completed a feedback form that was sent to me by email asking for me to give feedback on my experience. I took my precious time completing the form. Someone called me to and said they really wanted to discuss the form and left a number for me to return their call. I called the number and reached an associate who told me that I should go online and leave feedback. That makes me wonder why I was given a number to call someone who really wanted to talk to me. I then asked to speak to his supervisor. I was then transferred to Brianna #40365. I explained why I was calling and she interupted me twice to give me excuses why the associate did not know what I was talking about. When I told her that I did not want to waste anymore of my time listening to excuses she said that I was not allowing her to help me. I then asked for her supervisor. She refused to respond to me and just let there be silence on the phone even after I asked if she was still there 3 times before she responded by telling me that she did not have a supervisor. I questioned that multiple times at which time she told me I was not allowing her to help me and that I should hang up. It is conversations like these that drove my original scores and it is beyond me why your company would waste their money and my time on feedback forms when obviously your supervisors don't care anymore than this about the customer's opinion. The purpose of customer feedback to learn how you can improve on customer service. This experience will just be added to the already bad impression that I share often about Citimortgage with multiple people.

Good luck to anyone trying to get a modification with Citibank. Husband lost his job last year and our income was reduced by 50%. Started the modification process in May. After submitting all of the paperwork, in may cases, 2 or 3 times because they said they never received it, we have been DENIED. Oh I should also add that we received an email saying that we were APPROVED on 8/16. On the website where I can "track" the progress it also says that we have been "approved." However, we are apparently now denied because we continued to make our monthly payments so even though our income has been drastically reduced and we can't afford our monthly payments, according to Citi, we can because I continued to make the payments. I continued to make the payments because everything I saw in writing said to "continue to make your payments". This is obviously just a shell game. I find it hard to believe that anyone is approved for a modification. I'm sickened over this but I am glad in the end that I did continue making my payments b/c I'm sure they would have found a way to deny us either way and then we'd owe several months of payments anyway. One of the most horrible, disheartening experiences of my life!!!!!

we had been in our home for 22yrs. my husband lost his job for a short time. we called citimorage on the daily to get help. they would not work with us at all!!!! they hung up on us. the gov. bail them out and what do you they put people out of there homes and change lives forever!!!!! and dont care!!! beare beware of citimorage bad people are there!!!!! you will get no help!!! they forclosed and citimorage bought the house back and sold it in 30 days!!!!!! walter

This company blows!! We are being held hostage by the underwriter that is "considering" our modification. Each time something else is required thereby pushing more time under the table to push to foreclosure. I am fed up with their non-existence customer service.

I have sent everything that my Citi "Loan Processor" asked for, and they keep saying they never receieved the documents, etc. This is a company that shows no respect to the costumers. All they want is us to loose our home!

Tonight I tried to get in touch with citi mortgage by phone. This is where I have my current mortgage. The 1st 3x I called I put in my SS number 6x,they r holding my mortgage since 2007 and did not recognize me as having an acct with them. When I finally got to a person who took my info she then transferred me to a broker of which the connection was so bad,she then became
annoyed with ME the customer. I asked for a supervisor and she hung up on me. I called back got someone else I was to hold for a few minutes and then I would speak to someone about refinancing. Guess what? I was disconnected again,what a surprise. My phone calls took over an hour. I then decided to register on line,I was given a # and told someone would call me. That was at 6:45 pm it is now 9:37pm,still waiting 4 that call. And while I wait am deciding who I will transfer my mortgage to.

For almost a year I've tried to get refinancing, lower interest rate etc. All this bank cares about is theirs bonus checks and how much the gov. will give them to screw the public. The rev. is coming and I'm ready!!

What a bunch of BS! I have sent everything that my Citi "Loan Processor" asked for, have excellent credit, not deliquent on Citi Mort. loans nor any other and they keep saying they never receieved the documents, etc. When I have proof they have been sent and rec'd. Be very wary of this operation. I do not know what the end game is, but it sure is a game. Citi Blow.
