This is the worst bank I have every dealt with. Customer service is horrible. They don't close your accounts right so they can charge you late fees and fees because you haven't npaid your late fees when the account should of been closed. Then they keep your money which is automatly deposited into your account, because you had no idea they closed your new account you opend when you cvlosed the first one because of a lost check book. So they goty my chck, kept it to pay their fees. Tell you that a check is in the mail for what they didn't use to pay the fees that should not have been charged in the gfirst place because the people working at their banks do jot know what they are doing.

Trying to get access to my accounts via their web site has been a TOTAL disaster. I was on the phone with their "consultants" for close to an hour last night, and I am no further along than when I started. I finally hung up out of frustration. The left hand doesn't know what the right hand is doing over there.

Ha Ha : "Please avoid using profanity."
Not an easy request to grant when discussing THIS bank. :)

After they lost part of a deposit a few years ago, and despite assurances by the bank officer I spoke with, never made it right, I closed my checking account. I did keep a credit card I had that PNC had assimilated from the defunct National City Bank (which, sadly, had never had a problem with service.)

I do virtually all my credit card maintenance by my internet account. PNC's Virtual Wallet (the one they moved my credit card to from a perfectly functioning online system that National City had) has now been completely MIA since Friday. I reported this to them by phone Friday morning. The rep on the phone told me he could hear the person next to him dealing with the same issue. So, they've known for THREE DAYS now, and none of their websites will even open a webpage from a search engine, much less connect to my online account. Not the first time they've had an issue with the account working. Thumbs down on this bank. Unreliable.

What a terrible experience to deal with this bank after our recent home fire. Most people assume the insurance company would be the hard part but they issued us a check over a month ago, we still have not received a dime back from the bank. We've sent multiple documents that "weren't received" even after a fax confirmation and "read" receipt by email. The ones that are received that person seems to go on vacation the next day and we are passed to somebody new and start the whole process over! Last week we were promised everything was taken care of and we would receive a check fed ex overnight and no extra expense to us ( how kind of you) and of course that didn't happen and both the local manager and the manager at the claims office have not been back to the office since to help straighten this out. I would never deal with this bank, I've made sure to tell everyone I know how we've been treated and what a terrible customer service attitude they have. I was even told on the phone today by Rachelle who answered the phone at the call center when I asked to speak to the manager that she was talking to that this particular manager didn't deal directly with the customers! We also again today have updated our contact information for the fifth time since we started this process!

I paid my PNC Bank credit card bill. Apparently their automated phone system did not take all the digits of my account number. It was 3 days before the bill was due. I thought there might have been a problem with the system and in fact called the no. the next day to be sure it was paid, and it said my balance was zero. Now I get my new bill and it has been reversed and I have interest and late fees on it. I WILL NOT PAY THEM THESE! I call them and they do not care, what a lousy customer service organization PNC is. I will never deal with them again and recommend that people stay away from this co. without any common sense.
I called and their customer service "robots," all say "I apologize," but cant reverse the charges.
STAY AWAY FROM PNC BANK

Trying to purchase a short sale . Almost 5 mos. later PNC comes back with a higher offer and I agree . Two weeks and they still won't let me close. Just want a home for my daughter and me. They don't care about people in any aspect. Greed and in humanity says it all!!!!!

PNC is the worst! I do not bank with them, but my employer does. So when he gives me an advance on my paycheck, I went to Pnc to cash it. When asked for 2 forms of ID I give them my state ID and debit card. Teller tells me I need a major credit card. I say what about my ss card, insurance card, check stub, w-2, utility bill or my other debit card she says no. I must have vehicle registration, military id, passport or student id. Why isn't what I have good enough? My job doesn't require all of that! And on top of it RUDE! But she did attempt to get me to open an account! I can open an account but I can't cash this check...crazy!

By far the worst bank experience I have had.
Double checked the amount before I sent it off in the drive thru container and the teller told me I was missing $20. I told her I had counted it before sending it in but she refused to help. Very unhappy customer and I will be taking my business elsewhere.

Excellence experience with a local branch PNC employee, Andrew Trayna
Very well educated with PNC accounts and service, extremely professional and followed up on my transactions.
PNC should acknowledge Andrew Trayna regarding his Customer Service skills.

I need a title Lien cleared for a loan that was paid off 4 years ago. I spent 35 minutes on the phone this time and was transferred FOUR times (one wrong number, two "I don't know how to help you) after faxing them a request per their instructions 3 weeks ago and HOPE they get back to me this time!!!

the worst customer service to date and PNC does not take identity theft seriously.. please keep that in mind if you want to open an account... PNC sides with the theives...they would not let me close my account due to the insurance check may or may not be valid was their excuse. Funny.. check was already cashed.. and I already took 1500 from it three weeks ago.. now all of a sudden they are questioning the validity of the check .. wish they were that careful when the thieves stole money from that account and they sided with them..

I cannot access your website. I need my balance. I phoned in but that asked me for my ID. I refuse to say my SS# over the phone or internet. What the hell is wrong with your website?

I had a mortgage with PNC Bank for 6 years. It was a 3 year call type loan which had to be renewed every 3 years. At 5 years, 9 months, they informed me that they would not be renewing my loan even though I was never late even once and paid extra on the principal every month. They informed me they were no longer handling these types of loans (it was a 460K loan on a $600K trailer park. I had had several other mortgages with PNC in years prior, all of which were paid off as agreed. The confusion in dealing with this bank, and the terrible experience in having my loan cancelled like this are hard to describe. Now I find out they are continuing to run credit checks on me and the inquiries are showing up on my credit reports, even though they got paid off over a year ago and I have NO BUSINESS WITH THEM AND NEVER WILL AGAIN! WTF? one department never knows what the other department is doing. They are a disorganized, unfair, incompetent bank! Stay away from PNC!!!!!!

Since April of 2012 I have been working with a PNC bank representative on trying to purchase my first home. It is now February of 2013 and this deal has not been finalized as of yet. Throughout this entire process the bank representative has demonstrated everything but professionalism and respect during this process. I have had to contact the representative 90% of this process and have had things such as them not calling me back for three weeks, advising me to get into school instead of exploring the options I mentioned having me to get into more debt, sending out the wrong paperwork and not apologizing, losing paperwork a number of times and having me to resend it, the list just goes on and on. As of today 2-18-13 it has been almost 4 weeks and the representative has not returned a call after over 10 attempts to try and reach them. I ended up contacting her supervisor only to have them not contact me either for over 7 days just to find out that they had resigned. I don’t know what the heck is going on, I am so in the dark. Meanwhile, the seller of them home which is a company providing assistance through a government program has also made attempts to contact the PNC bank representative as well as the supervisor and as had no luck at all. This is the worst experience ever of trying to purchase my first home. I would never recommend PNC for anything ever. Employees of PNC have to know that what they do represents EVERY PNC, not just the one they work for.

This Bank charges you $10 to cash a check drawn on their bank. The check I was trying to cash was for only $20. So the bank wanted half of my earnings for what completing a transaction from one of thier customers. I will never be a customer of this bank. And I would ask anyone who might be looking for a new bank to stay, no, run away from PNC Bank!

Wednesday February 13, 2013 I went into the local PNC branch on Main Street in Thurmont Md. to take care of some financial business. A hotel I booked with placed a duplicate hold on my checking account in the amount of $401.49 which brought my balance bellow zero. My husband has been working with this company for hours trying to get this resolved, meanwhile I went into the branch and requested that the error be taken out or moved so that amount of money would be available to withdraw if needed. My key concern was that if I made a purchase and brought my balance below zero money would be swept from savings, which I did not want to happen.
As I was in the branch and made this request the first teller was nice and said she did not think that could be done. Upon pressing further for real results she explained “how things work” three of four times. When she realized I wanted a resolution (rather than an excuse) she called another employee, Nikki O'Connell, to help. Nikkis' explanation was the same. I asked for her to please call a supervisor, that was not possible as the manager was not in the office. Then I asked her to call the processing department (for lack of a more accurate title) as there should surely be a way to resolve this.
Nikki was determined not to comply with my request and furthermore treated me very poorly, forgetting that I am a customer not an inconvenience! After insisting several times that she call someone with more authority she did make a phone call. I was quite surprise that I had to explicitly tell her several time to make a call. After which she stated that her phone call did not provide results and there was no way to fulfill my request. I then asked her for the printout she had that listed the balance detail. I also asked her to put her name on it and her employee number to which she replied “I don't know if I should do that.”
Was she telling me that it was a judgment call... or policy??? If a judgment call, was she intentionally scoring another power point or was she afraid her actions had consequences?
She slid the paper under the glass and had her first name written on it. so I asked for her last name to which she asserted her “control” one more time as she slowly slid the paper under the window and shot a disgusted, derogatory look my way. Her demeanor was most criminalizing, I know that I was asking for something outside the box! Should that request have been handled differently, or was her performance acceptable?
It is my opinion that she should learn what customer service means, looks like and how to treat all customers with a modicum of deference!

I have also the same issue with it being THEIR fault, but they still don't fix the problem. I am actually trying to figure out how to get to live chat? I used to do it all the time but now cannot find it anywhere. Did they no longer have live chat?
