PNC has a habit of messing things up such as not updating your mailing address to send payment statements. If you are late with a payment because THEY messed up, YOU end up paying late fees and fines even though it was THEIR fault. This has happened to me multiple times. Makes you wonder if this is not deliberate so they can create false pretenses to raid your bank account for extra money without utilizing the due process guaranteed by the US Constitution. The Constitution clearly states that one can not be deprived of property (money) without due process. Deliberately creating a situation that can generate a late fee seems to be a profit center for PNC. Anyone have the same experience? Anyone up for a class action law suit?

PLEASE fix your online banking website already!!!!! This is a horrible time for the online site to go down, with all of the extra holiday spendings and budgeting.
Sincerely,
annoyed already!

I like PNC - they have an online chat feature which makes life WAY easy. Also I've never had a problem getting a person... try callng the phone number on the back of the credit card - I've never waited more than 10 mins --

What a joke. First of all PNC allowed a cash loan place take money out of my account. When I got the number of this place they said a guy answered my phone and ok'd it. When I called the bank back they said there isn't even a guy on your account at all. While I was sick I was unable to follow up but come to find out this was my 16 Yr old son who this company talked to. But the fact that the bank allowed a male onto my account and didn't fix this made me very frustrated. Then this problem started a domino effect continously putting me in the negative tho I thought the issue was taken care of. Then my dad goes to put a check into my account and it had been closed. Then the recovery agent had the branch take my dads check for $1500.00 and send it in to recovery and I was supposed to get a cashiers check. I was never told it was a 10 day processing period I was told 3-4 days at the most. Then 14 days later I'm told his check still hasn't cleared and the branch can't find it. This not only has been a huge hassle as the money was to pay off a loan to get a larger loan and payoff debts along with medical bills but I also can't see my Neurologist until this is taken care of. It's not helping my condition either. It's also been a huge hassle and inconvience to my dad who was just trying to help me out.

The most ridiculous customer service there is. The branch in Avon, IN. is a joke. I feel sorry for those who think it is a good idea to bank at PNC.

I ha e two voicemails saved of two different employees of PNC lying to me saved. The first complaint is over a dispute that has been going on since July. I have been lied to repeatedly over this dispute, being made to feel as I am the criminal instead of the fraudulent account taking my money out of my account without my permission. I was told I never faxed my papers and even though I've told them repeatedly that I have the fax transmittal saying it was sent and received, they say that doesn't matter because they don't lose paper work. And then when a supervisor gets involved and tells me in a voicemail which is saved that it will be expedited and in my account in 2-4 business days, well that was almost a month ago and the money is still not in my account. And now the Renee Daniels is saying she never said that even though I have played it back. And now I was told that the money I deposited today would be available by midnight, to go on and pay my bills because it would post. And guess what, still not posted. So sick of being lied to!

Car loan. all is good...then 2 months into loan. PNC calls 2 days after due date. I am told no grace period it is due. I tell them when and which branch payment will be made. still continued calls. even after payment is MADE!!! The calls continue till this like collection monsters get updated records. Are they that behind in updating by days? They call my co applicates bosses phone and ask for him. Requested payment over phone after it's MADE. We are never over or near grace period where we would have a late fee. I had to send a cease & desist letter. Never ever ever take a loan out with PNC. They treat me like a deadbeat. I have great credit 766 score. Never late on bills. Is PNC that hard up to get there money by harassment of customers. shame on them. I'm keeping records and may see them in court if they continue after cease & desist. I even put in a escalated complaint in bank. They will again till me it's due on the 29th why did I not pay on 29th or before. You do not have grace. Is what I'm told. How about direct debit they say. That's another nightmare been there will not do that again. BOA took two house payments out one month.

Made a $12000 deposit in september. that's what my check shows and that's what the receipt shows. it seems PNC Bank only deposited $120, as shown on my monthly statement. i figured they would catch it but wanted to see how fast! I just received October's statement and there's no mention of the discrepancy!! i called PNC, talked to 1st level rep who proceeded to view the image of the check. he confirmed that an error was made but, unfortunately, he would have to forward it to another department as a dispute. pending their 3 day review of the check image i should receive the balance of the deposited funds. i requested compensation, something on the order of $6, the exact same amount they will charge if a deposit slip doesn't add up to the amount of the checks deposited...a customer error costs them money. an internal error EARNS them money. they have a SEVERE internal auditing problem at this bank and i believe it will cause their shares to devalue, if not outright bankrupt the corporation over the long term. 3 days i now wave to wait to get almost $12,000 deposited in september! This is the 3rd time in 2 years this has happened!! fortunately, i use PNC and 2 credit unions for my business accounts (only credit unions for my personal!)

My husband and I bought a car at Al Serra in Grand Blanc, Mich. Our plan was to pay cash but it was going to take a week or so to get our money. Al Serra decided to finance us so we could get our car immediately. Our money came in and I called PNC about payoff. I asked the girl what my credit union would need in order to wire the money from our institution to theirs. She gave your address (which I thought was strange). I went to our Credit Union and Lisa (my CU Rep) called PNC to get their routing number so she could transfer money. I warned her it would take a while to get to a human being. There was so much automation it was ridiculous. I had asked the girl the day before what to hit to get out of the loop and she told me *0 which didn't work. When Lisa finally got someone, they didn't seem to know what to do. She got put on hold, transferred to other people, was told they couldn't find our account even though we gave the account number and finally was told your bank will not allow money to be wired over. Lisa got on your web and it says that this is the best way and most secure way to transfer money. When she asked these different people why they wouldn't take a wire transfer, even though the web site said they did, no one could give an explanation. I called on my cell to get a hold of a manager and was basically told the same thing. She said we could pay by check thru the mail, online thru your web or a PNC branch. She gave me the closest one which is near my husband's employment. Why didn't the girl I talked to the first time tell me that? We could have gotten it paid off on Friday when my husband got out of work. Instead I wasted my time at my bank, I wasted Lisa's time and now we will be paying more interest as we wait for Monday again so my husband can pay it when he gets out of work. Needless to say I will never finance nor do business with you bank again if I can help it. There seems to be a lot of incompetency there. One lady Lisa talked to got snippy with her. If you want to listen to any recording of this, we made the calls between 3:30 and 4:00 on Friday, Oct 19th. I put in a complaint to Al Serra which our sales person said this should have never happened for all the business they give you. Thank you. Mary Jo Igram

For those with issues with fees and hidden charges, you are not alone. I urge you to file a complaint with the federal reserve requesting an inquiry into the institution's policies and practices as well as a compliance audit. Also in the next week there will be a "My PNC Story" page on textbook. I am diligently working to learn how if possible a class action law suit can be brought against this institution. (mention that in the complaint as well if you like)

To all it may concern,
I am writing in regards to a set of recent events that have both shocked and outraged me. I was a student working this season on Mackinac Island, Michigan. I have been consistently bringing in monthly pay checks of around $2500 and have been saving them to come home. There was a bit of a mix up with check types for my final check; Friday 09/28/2012. The member of staff helping me was excellent and helped a much as she could – she wasn’t totally sure of how the wired transfer process works. In fact, the only person qualified at this branch in Mackinac City was more concerned with the mini party going on in the lobby – chit chatting with all the local people. I am fully aware of ALL of her plans for this weekend – but when it came to finding out information about this service which was pretty important to me – I still left clueless.
I ended up having to wait until I reached Chicago to do the wired transfer. When I got there, I was missing a few pieces of information (probably should have been told by the party girl in Mack City) so was unable to complete the wired transfer. She offered me either cash for the $2700 left in my account, or a check that could be cashed immediately at any bank worldwide. There were two senior staff involved in this conversation – and both said this was my best option. You oughtta trust the bank MANAGER right?!
This is NOT the case. I have since come to learn that it is pretty common knowledge in the banking world that an international check will take 4-6 weeks to process.
I am currently accruing a daily overdraft charge to survive from my home bank. I move to China later this week, and now have NO money.
I have been left completely stranded with not a penny to my name for the next 6 weeks; a whole load of debt that just keeps mounting up, and a foreign new country to contend with.
This stress can be pinpointed to incompetent and uncaring management members in your branches. The customer services department basically have no answers for me; as there is no reverse transaction and no way to transfer this money directly.
This has been the worst banking experience of my life and is making my life VERY difficult. I have no idea what I am going to do with my own financial position for this year.
I would tell everyone to avoid PNC like the plague. The amount of confusion for such a simple task is ridiculous and has left me with nowhere to go. International students cannot afford to lose out on thousands of dollars due to a lack of knowledge on the staff’s behalf. I do think this information was well known – just not cared about.

Is there anything that you can advise for me to do at this difficult time? The more days that go by, the more charges that accrue – I just cannot afford this!

We will like to acknowledge all the help and the wonderful attitude your employee, Anthony Marraffino from the downtown Ft Pierce Branch, Fl. He turned what could have been a real pain in a neck into a breeze making phone calls for us for solving an issue. He went above and beyond and we could not say enough about his great personality and customer service. Thank you very much. Ann Marie Antino

I am writing a letter that I should have written a long time ago. While in my local Giant, one of your representatives approached me and was so genuine and sincerely interested, courteous, and polite that I decided to open an account and have been with you over a year. I choose to go to that same branch whenever I have questions or concerns regarding my account before I will call customer service. As a matter of fact, I have only called customer service once, and that was out of convenience of time. Every other time, the representatives have been able to help me or escalate it to Lawrence who was the branch manager. Yes, I know every worker in that location but name and face as they do me. Jonathan, Basim, Craig, Shante, and Lawerence all blew me away with their customer service skills every time I went. Even when I was just passing by while in the market they spoke. The few times there were a line, I didn’t mind waiting because I knew they were providing that same level of customer service to the person in front of me. I do not know how you were able to find such qualified people and managed to put them all in one location but the two times that I went to another PNC location, that level of service was never comparable. I was saddened to learn last week that the entire staff had been let go. The new person was pleasant enough but I do not see how you can find a better crew than the one you already had at that branch. The location is convenient to my job however there are more convenient banks that I could choose to go with. I went to PNC for them. You lost five great employees and one enthused customer. I regret that I didn’t sing their praises a long time ago but I can promise you that I am not alone in feeling this way about these employees. Please get them back.

The worst bank I have ever used. I am closing account and never working with them. CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT is needed. Hidden B>S> fees and holds on cashier's check. What a joke!

My business is Mastercraft Typography and Design. I have had an absolutely impossible time trying to sign on to your online service. And the live individual at the other end of the landline connection was beyond unhelpful. I gave him my social security number, my account number, the exact amount and time of my last transaction at the bank. He left to talk with a supervisor. "The information you have given me does not match that business name." I was clearly annoyed. I told him I did not understand what he was talking about and asked him what information did he want. "I can't tell you that," he said. I was appalled! Between your antique cash machines (outside the banks no less!) that cause customers to leave without taking their card back, and unhelpful customer service, I am about ready to call it quits with PNC. I would appreciate a response. My account number is

The assistance manager, Raeanne, of the Otsego/Plainwell branch is completely rude! She talked down to us the whole time. You could just see that she was full of attitude and entitlement the second you see her. She is the whole reason we left PNC and will never return!

I have been a customer with pnc for some yrs now. i continue to have the same problem. They advertise overdraft coverage but is not consistent with covering transactions that are over drawn. There were 9 consecutive transactions that were overdrawn pnc did not pay. An transaction caused my account to be 8 cents short caused 3 other transactions to be overdrawn. They charged me $144 in fees for a total of $5.79 that was overdrawn. But the 9 previous transactions were not paid. They scheme to get customers money from overdraft fees. If anyone has had this problem please post your complaint. I am suing pnc if you feel you have a lawsuit please post.
