The time was 5:25 p.m. on May 24th, 2016 I had hope to quickly go into Walgreens and purchase one roll on underarm deodorant. I found the deodorant and paid for it with 50% off by using my Walgreens Balance Rewards card (#7141 0884 14173). I could tell that I needed to use the restroom. But I was hoping that I could make it home to use the restroom. Since I live downtown about two miles from Walgreens. I purchased the product and went quickly out the front door and onto Wabasha Street. While standing at the stop light I realize that I needed to use the restroom. I went back into the store and approached the pharmacy counter and ask if I could use the restroom. Because I have been coming to Walgreens to pay for my prescriptions for the last fifteen plus years. I thought/ hoped that they would allow me to use their restroom. I had some disapproval in the past from this store to use the restroom. But their knowledge of my medical condition help them to decide to let me use their restroom. One of my prescriptions that I have been purchasing at this pharmacy, for several years is terazosin. Which in my case makes it even more difficult to stop my need to use a bathroom. Rick the Manger of the pharmacy department would allow me to use the rest room but he was not there. So I was refused access to the restroom. But due to the staff knowing me by my first name. As a paying customer with physical disabilities I would hope that the store would permit me to use the bathroom. I have been picking up my prescription of terazosin which helps me use the restroom but gives me very little time to make it to a different building to locate another restroom. But most important is that I am a paying customer with a disability.

Beside being treated as if I had done something wrong by asking to use the restroom. I was treated as thought I had committed a crime in their store. The one customer behind me was speechless. If this is how customers are going to be treated then I will begin picking up my prescription and other needs at a CVS Drug store or another location. Their has got to be a better way to use security cameras or to create a way for customers to use the restroom. For a customer that is known to have physical problems when it comes to there bathroom needs. To be denied the use of a restroom is as low as a business can go.
