"On 10/9/09 I sent a letter with my payment saying "Please terminate this account....I no longer need a cell phone." I checked the box to indicate address change and/or comment on back. On the back I said to cancel the account. Put everything in the letter provided and mailed it.

Got a second bill since then. Today my wife tells me I have not done anything. Evidently she is correct. Up until I tried to cancel my account I was happy with US Cellular. They cashed my check so I know they got my letter and note. That indicates a pretty poor billing/customer service department"



maybe you should try actually calling and canceling your acct. the payment checks go to a payment center not a customer service or customer relations center. there wouldnt be anyone there to deal with your account, and actually are barred by law from opening any account. stop being lazy.
