Your employee Erica at your Hayward store on Hesperian Blvd., was very helpful. She used every means to find the item. Please let her know that I appreciated all her help.

Thank You!

Our local store is FANTASTIC and customer service is always outstanding. However, we recently placed an order online which turned into a DISASTER. Our order was for approximately 250.00 USD. Our receipt indicated the correct amount and the receipt they emailed also indicated this amount. However, when we checked on the status of the order the next business day we had been charged 4,500.00 USD???????? This caused an overdraft on our account. I called immediately and spoke to Joel in the Philippines who cancelled the order but no-one could explain why a 97c item was now being billed at $21.00. Then to ensure we weren't charged an overdraft fee I called the bank. They said OfficeDepot (OD) had to confirm that the amount would be released. I called OD back and got Fiona in Guyana who said (after 40 minutes on the phone) that she had lodged my request with the Resolution Center and someone would call within the next 4 hrs. After 5hrs and no call I ended up calling our local store where the manager has finally taken care of the matter. Thanks Susan!!! We will be sure to NEVER order online again.

Bought a camera at store #136 - was immediately assisted by a very professional, knowlageable, pleasant staff member, named Jose, who helped me get the best camera, just like I wanted. In addition, he went out of his way to offer other services related to my purchase and provided with suggestions on additional services, like insurance, memory card, etc. Wonderful, impressive. Very pleasant experience. Mr. Jose is an excellent asset to this company. Thank you.

I have always shopped at the OFFICE DEPOT around the corner from me, since the early 70's and then I just recently read that they are going to be outsourcing finance and accounting jobs to India and Guatemala for starters. I brought this up to the manager at my local store and he told me "YOUR BUSINESS ISN'T GOING TO HURT US". How unprofessional! Well how about all of America's business??? You better think twice about your choices.

On Office Depote receipts it tells you if you give a feedback they will send you a coupon for $10.00 off your nexy purchase. But you have to have the receipt number to leave a feedback. I could not find a receipt number so I called the store and talked to a manager. He had no ideal where the number was on the receipt. I called there customer service and was transferd to 4 differnt people, still no one knew where this number is on the receipt. They sure have there act togrther.

After reading these comments I am afraid I am going to get no where with my issue- bought a MSI notebook and returned it less than fourteen days as it didn't work-after a week of the tech people trying to "fix it" I was told it was fixed and ready for pick up and I tried it in the store and it still didn't work---long story but basically I am out 400.00 and something that doesn't work and feel less than hopeful when I call the 1800 Go Office depot number I won't get anywhere.....
do I take my business to staples or office max as I got burned one too many times from office depot- the coupons that never work, rebates that never came and salesmen that have no knowledge about their products--

Ordered a file cabinet that was supposed to be delivered on NY eve. Showed up a week late because t had to come from Georgia (I live in TX.) Never received any e-mails or anything about backorder or late delivery. The file cabinet finally shows up a week late and was broken. Two drawers didn't open and it had dents all over it. Called to return it without a replacement (because I was tired of dealing with them.) UPS picked it up the next day. It was signed for as received in their Houston warehouse on 11 January. I've called four times to see when I would get a credit for the return. First time:it has been processed and should show up on your end of month bank statement.(Hello--online banking updates immediately.) Second time: it's being processed. Then an 18 wheeler shows up to pick up the file cabinet. Hello it's already been returned. Third call: It has been processed but since you used a Debit card it may take two billing cycles to show up on your bank statement. Last call (today): we'll have someone call you in 4 hours to see what's going on. Next call will be to my bank for fraud...Horrible service! I bought a new filing cabinet from Office Max this weekend and it is awesome! The store manager even helped us tie it down on my truck and reassured us that if anything was wrong to brign it right back to the store....I will never go to Office Depot again!
Lorraine 2/16/11 12:51PM/ About the same for me.no one call me back.

Another company call center outsourced to Mumbai! Forget about getting a rep who speaks English (or understandable English, any way!)I ordered a replacement chair mat for the one which cracked. They said they would switch them out on Wednesday, which they did. However, the driver left the 2 lb. chairmat shrinkwrapped to a 75 lb. wooden pallet measuring approximately 4'x4' at my front door. After fighting to get this heavy, bulky monstrosity into the garage (and nearly breaking my arm in the process), i called the wonderful customer service department to have the pallet picked up. Well, no one in Mumbai knows what a pallet is, and they can not seem to arrange for it to be picked up. One even wanted to charge me for the item! Finally got a call from the Warehouse today assuring me that the item would be picked up today. Guess what? It is back in my garage. Now I have to wait for the "Customer Resolution" department to call me on Monday. If I could fit the da** thing in my car, which is a huge SUV, I would just dump it at the front door of the nearest Office Depot, but....I can't fit it in! This is unreal. Know anyone that could use a free pallet? Call me! lol. I will NEVER shop at Office Depot again. Sorry, fellas, you've outsourced this customer right to Staples.

We have been trying to get payment and purchase records to quantify an embezzlement. Office Depot refuses to give us the records. We have been asking since March 2010 and it is January 2011. So don't rely on Office Depot to help you. They keep promising and do not deliver.

I ordered a ninendo dsi on dec 10th for my daughter for Christmas. I was tld there was plenty in stock and it was to arrive on Dec 17th. I called to check on it Dec 17th, Dec 20th (2 times), and Dec 21st. Someone was to call me back each time and never did. Finally a supervisor told me they were out of stock. Santa left a note stating that he would send one ASAP. I called on Dec 29th..."Someone will call you back." No one did. Called on Jan 1st, and was told that the product has been deleted from inventory. To bad..... No wonder you can find the name of the President of Office Depot. Horrible Customer Service!!!!!!!!!!!

Some guy from the "inside telephone rep" dept keeps calling asking me if I'm with Sworsky,Glitch & Williams which is so far off from where I work it is a joke! If he's calling by account then he should have enough sense to READ the account name!!It must be a bunch of scammers because even a "so-called" supervisor can even stop the stupid phone calls which come as many as 3 times a week!
I'll be closing the account & finding anothe ronline office supply service!!

Last night I visited the Office Depot in Durango Colorado and had a very frustrating experience. I am a teacher that works in New Mexico, but lives in Colorado. I went into the store last night to purchase an ink cartrige for the copier in my classroom. When I got to the register and gave the clerk our school credit card with the tax exempt number used for Office Depot. When the clerk typed in the number, it would not work. After calling the manager to help, they suggested that since my school was in another state, that the card would not work in Colorado. Instead, they suggested that I drive to thier store in Farmington New Mexico, an addtional 20 minutes away from where I work to buy the cartrige at that store. I already have to commute 40 minutes each way everyday and adding another 40 minutes by driving in the wrong direction was not on my list of fun things to do, in addition to the 60-70 hours a week I spend at my job. No effort was ever made to contact the Farmington store to get the number and each of the employees gave me a "that's just the way it is" approach to helping me. I spoke with our office manager who told me that the tax exempt form for the Durango store has been filled out several times and teachers continue to have the same problem. I'm sure that there are other teachers who live near state lines in other parts of the country and try to do their supply shopping near home. Office Depot needs to come up with a better system than this.

I went to the Office Depot in Aurora, Illinois to get a new HP printer cartidge. Since I had a $10 coupon good for a $50 or more purchase, I thought that by going to Office Depot, I could save a little money. At the register, the clerk told me I could not use the coupon on any HP products. I couldn't help but think it smelled a lot like a "bait and switch." If I was a large corporate chain, it seems obvious you don't want to turn off customers with "the fine print", restricting coupons customers bring in, and effectively excluding a large segment of products a customer might go out of their way to go to your store for. Wake up, OFFICE DEPOT! I'm going to Staples next time. Their coupons include HP products!

We went to the Office Depot at 932 Blossom Hill in San Jose, CA and had a very unpleasant experience.

The Sales rep, named Cassie was very rude, unprofessional and did not help us in anyway. We left the store without buying the products.

I ordered a laptop online and received it with one dead pixel. I called the 1-800-GO-DEPOT number to ask for an exchange, but the laptop was out of stock, so they offered a refund and to pick up the next day. So I agreed, however UPS never arrived due to a wrongly processed return request by Office Depot. I called the CSR who requested a resolution report. A call back from the resolution center then tells me to take the laptop to a local UPS store with a tracking number which UPS can not process without a return label. They have also told me to return the item to my local store who continues to refuse accepting the item because it was an online purchase. Then the process repeats like the movie Ground Hogs Day and it’s driving me insane. So after 6 calls to the GO-DEPO, 2 visits to the local store and 2 visits to UPS, I still have the defective laptop.

I've opened a dispute with my credit card to get the money back for a laptop Office Depot says they willing to take back thru UPS, but Office Depot are incompetent of processing a return shipping label. I will also be contact the BBB. The whole process has taken up so much of my time; it’s only fair that I give Office Depot what they seek, more of my time sharing my experience with anyone willing to listen.

So to recap, Office Depot is terrible at accepting returns even when they YES they are taking the item back. I can’t get them to process a simple return label or accept the laptop at the local store. I will avoid Office Depot form here on out.

I will never deal with Office Depot again. I ordered an office desk a week ago for an office being set up while the doctor I work for is out of town (we have a corporate acct). I did receive the desk this past Monday which is the date it was supposed to arrive but what we received was a desk that had already been returned. There was a drawer that was broken and parts missing. We called Office Depot customer service who stated we would receive a new desk the next day. Tuesday --no desk and customer service states oh no its supposed to be delivered on Wed. Several phone calls later to customer service trying to reach our acct rep and I finally talk to him at 4:50pm Wed. of course he doesn't know what happened and is trying to find out and will call me back right away and if i'm already gone he'll leave me a message. Thursday a.m. --no voice mail and still no desk. Customer service sends our rep another email to call us, finally by 11am I get a call that he's still trying to find out what's going on and where our desk is. I have never had so many problems dealing with one company. No one seems to be able to do anything to help at that company, it will be the very last time I deal with them. We spend alot of money for supplies and that will go to some other deserving business.

I just took my computer to have a virus removed at my local Office Depot. I was appalled that the Tech was crammed in to an end cap and had to stand at his station all day answering questions,by phone and in person, making bills and, finally, fixing computers. The only thing missing was chains holding him to his station. Can't you afford to have a chair for the Tech to sit on or an area where he can work on the computers....SOMETHING!!!! It is pathetic and very poor example of how Office Depot treats it's employees. That was store #2383
The Tech was extremely good and courteous. I think you should really help him out.
