We have a JD 6140D that we have had for 2 years that has had problems since brand new the rep keeps telling us it's at the factory we are little tired of it you are driving it kicks into neutral

Loader does not lift to capacity and when you plug in cell phone to charge kicks into neutral and am radio won't work Pto whines

John Deere is the WORST PRODUCT in USA HISTORY!!! People do not buy their products. My engine went and I took it to a local dealer and it is costing me almost at least $1000 to get it fixed almost the same as what the riding mower cost . I have looked on other mowers and they are not as expensive as john deere and or to get fixed. Plus their warranty hardly covers anything.

It would seem with just about any product you can think of, you will have people disappointed. And only those people who feel wronged will take the time to write reviews. I'm breaking that rule I realize by starting with that. For the most part, I have been happy with my purchase of an X series mower from JD. I'm only in season two with the current model but I had a 1985 JD mower that finally had deck trouble and cost to fix did not justify fixing vs buying into another.
I am curious though if more complaints occur with big box JD tractors than dealer. It was explained to me that they were two different products entirely despite carrying same name.

We bought American and we bought a John Deere and we thought we were buying quality. After sending for yearly maintenance we are told that after only less than 4 years of owning, that our tractor mower has a cracked transmission. We live in Pa and use this 5 - 6 months out of a year about once a week. We have 3/4 of an acre however, most of it is woods. It is going to cost $800 to $1,000 to repair. We are highly upset and disappointed in John Deere and our decision to buy American. It's a piece of junk and to find someone to talk to is useless. AND all their dealerships are closed. The last dealer wanted $200 to just pick up for service and they are only about 7 miles away. Disgusting and will tell anyone I know not to buy this product. Can John Deere at the very least please pay for the part?

Would like to know why Home Depot in lake Geneva wisc and mt prospect il would have different prices? I shop both stores due to two houses in different states. Home Depot associate at lake Geneva blames you for a $300 dollar price difference model d140 48" riding lawn mower . If this is the john deer policy I will buy a cub cadet I find it hard to believe a company with such longevity would allow Home Depot to play such games with your product. Home Depot lake Geneva would only give me a phone number for your finance dept. Is this really your direction?

I have a 2008 3005 tractor with 40hrs! on it. bought in Montana. electrical went out on it. was 5 months out of warranty. they printed up a schematic at the dealer and sent me on my way. but bring it on in will spend $$$$$$.impossible to get in touch with a district manager. john deere says it can not give out that info. I am done with john deere and I am a ''buy american'' guy. will see what comes up.

Purchased a John Deere Lawn Tractor, 19.5 HP, 1 month ago. Has 4 hours on it and the field mice devoured the seat in past 3 days. Farms have mice, we are a farm, never had mice eat ANY seat on any of my equipment until now. Smoke gushes out when it starts also. Trying to return tractor to store where it was purchased (huge hassle) , John Deere customer service says they have never heard of my problem before.

Bought a mowing tractor 102 and discovered that the rear wheel had developed a split by the key way And had been rocking on the axel for some time. Enough time that the rear axel is also damaged. I found this when I went to inspect the brakes and needed to remove the wheel. Big surprise!!!
Obviously a defective wheel as the other side was still 100 percent ok.
Parts cost over $200.00!!!!! Called John Deere for assistance and got NO satisfaction. They are pathetic in helping to remedy a defective situation.

This will be my last John Deere and I will never recommend one to a friend, their consumer products are junk compared to MTD .......

I purchased a John Deere 2210 last year used from the dealer. It was a nice tractor and only had 400hrs on it. I used it for a year and a half and the main drive shaft failed causing $4000.00 worth of damage. The main cause of this failure was caused by JD not specifiying the 2 grease fittings on the drive shaft in their service manual or in ther owners manual. So since the tractor was purchased new it has not been grease by the dealer due to it not being in their service manual. I called John Deere today and was told that there is nothing they could due because it is out of waranty. I am going to a Kubota dealer today to trade it in on a nice new company backed Kubota... Never again will i buy a John Deere.

John Deere sales junk zero only have 300 hrs on broke down three times they don't stand behind their equipment call them big run about sending me parts never buy no more John Deere ever zero turn 757 25 hp

Your customer service hotline is horrible. Very difficult to navigate and I have been cut off and hung up on twice today. Should have bought a Kubota.

Traded a mint year old j d baler the end of MARCH so we could step up to the new technology of the b wrap on the 469. Due to the factory being so slow we just got the baler July 16. Already done with 2 cuttings. Great timing. Now to add insult to injury, they have the gall to send a certified letter saying our account was delinquent even though all the paperwork was done and paid the day before the letter was sent. Plus we had been in regular contact with the fiancé department as we were patiently waiting for our new baler. Computers don't error by themselves. I think billing a squared up account is called attempted theft. . . Stupid

Customer "Service" basically useless--can only refer me to local dealer, who I've spoken to and who doesn't seem to know squat. And, getting ANY phone number to begin with took 15 minutes or more on line.

My Deere lawn tractor is excellent; availability of help abominable.

I have a X300 JD Mower. It will not start. It has 19 hours on the machine. To start it I have to take the bush guard down from the front so I can put the hood up. Go to the garage, get the booster cables, start the car, move the car beside the mower, boost the mower, put the car back, before I can mow. My local dealer, an hour away, said they'd replace the battery (they even admitted it was garbage). After taking the bad battery to them, however, I was told it was not warranted and they could not help me, and were not very nice about it! So with a $4000.00 mower with a $5.00 battery. Will not be a return JD customer.

John Deere warranty SUCKS! I may never buy another one just because the engine warranty does not include oil, oil filter, spark plug, or labor. Any time an engine is rebuilt you need all the above to make sure it is working properly. So a service charge for oil (which I would have done for myself) is ridiculous! If you are going to sell a Quality product you need to have a Quality warranty to match.

have my tractor for at least 2 weeks at cazzinovia john deere.need a part for x475 tractor .and you say you dont have the part for me ..the reason i bought john deere was i thought you were a great company and parts would be there .payed lots of money for tractor twice any other mowers for good service but not getting good service..tractor is only 2002 tractor.need dash cluster.so think twice before you buy john deere.

My experience with customer service sucked!!! They just keep telling me that whatever my dealer said is what john deere would stand behind. Well why do you think I called them? Sure wasn't to get the run around like I did.
I sure hope I can find some sucker to buy my 2320 so I can go purchase a New Holland that maybe I wont get doinked every time I need to purchase parts for.

In 2008 have buy garden tractor john deere LA145. This year have remark a little rust beside on the body.

Am lookin under the body, big surprise, the rust?????severe rust under the footboard and anywere. Contact the dealer, he cant do not help me.

But have take information for the probleme and john deere have the probleme with the salt when y put the part in the storage before the paint.

It's not my fault if he have the probleme, and for waiting, have try for have a another body and it's not garanty)(*&?%$

I own a JD 4720. I recently brought just the left front axle to a local dealership to have new bearings pressed in. When I got the axle back I installed it. Filled it with fresh oil. And gave a test run. When I lifted the wheel up off the ground to check it I found that it had just as much wobble as befor. The mechanic never pre-loaded the bearings! This mechanic never read the service manual! Never checked the shims! So now I am stuck waiting for a back ordered shim kit! And have fields that can't be plowed. I will never bring anything to John Deere again for service.

I own a GX 85 mower, after owning it for 5 yrs had it serviced at CENTRAL JERSEY EQUIPMENT in Columbus NJ. Last yr 350.00 to fix it and service it, this yr they had it for 7 weeks to repair a break rod another 260.00. Each time they repaired it the mower came back with something else wrong. Deere is JUNK, will burn my machine before I have it serviced at this dealer. My next mower will NOT be a Deere.

First of all i would like to say i will never own anything John Deere makes again. Greenville Turf and Tractor,Inc has serviced my lawn tractor for day one. That has been for the last five years, this year they call and tell me I need new blades and a spindle only trouble with that is they said the same thing last year and i had it done. I called Greenville turf and ask to speak to the owner or the manager i waited for three day and had to call them back it was then he told me he would check it out and get back to me, well guess what i never got a call again. And to top things off i go to cut my grass today for the first time and the belt comes off. G

D140 Lawn Tractor $2000 from Home Depot burned to the ground from engine fire. John Deer will not honor warranty. Sites it may have been dirt or grass under hood. It was clean and has just 18.2 hrs on unit. Said turn it into home owners. It would be up to me to prove it was John Deere.
Service center said its not really a John Deere...Its a unit branded John Deere logos for low end market.

Just bought an X500. Went out to use it yesterday (very first time) anf=d it was DEAD. The key was turned and nothing...nothing! Left message for the dealer (3 miles away down my same road) to pick it up Mondat morning and to call me. No call...... Everything on the dash seems very cheap. All plastic. Even the switches are formed plastic panels. I think I've just bought a more expensive piece of crap! My local dealer died and his son took over. Dumb as dirt!
