I have been waiting since August 31st for a rebate on a microwave that they told me they would give me after 3 GE's broke, each on after 14 months, so this was to be a goodwill rebate, so far after buying yet another GE microwave, I am still waiting for the money, I need it to pay my charge bill for this new one.

I will never buy a GE appliance again. When we had our kitchen done I purchased all GE appliances. The frig never worked right. After many service calls where the sensor and 2 compressors replaced along with burning the floor under the compressor. It cost the warranty co.over $1000.00 they finally replaced it. We paid $1800.00 6 years ago. Now I have a good Maytag working beautiful. I have a GE wall oven/microwave unit cost $2400.00 (the oven from hell) that has been replaced 2 times in a year & 1/2. It is not working again. For the 3rd. time the microwave over heated and almost caught fire. It blew the board out this time. This will be fixed at a cost of $739.00. The 1st oven was replaced under warranty, but we had to pay extra because of the model change. This was on 2/6/13. On 3/19/14 the same problem along with the microwave pealing inside, and going in our food. GE replaced it. Now here we go again. My husband and I are really stressed out over this again. Please GE help us.

I ordered 4 kitchen major appliances from Home Depot for delivery 7-29. When I checked on my delivery status 7-22 I was told the range I ordered would not be available until 8-11 and I couldn't get any of my appliances until then. I canceled the range and ordered a different GE range to be delivered on August 1st. Then my other delivery got pushed to 7-30 for no reason from the original date of 7-29. They came on 7-30 to deliver the microwave, fridge, and dishwasher but after installing the dishwasher didn't work. Not surprising because I witnessed them dropping it about the last 2' off the truck. It was rescheduled to deliver a new one on Aug 4th. All of my old appliances are gone so I have now a dishwasher that doesn't work and no range in my house. The del ivery was confirmed by me for the range at 4pm on Friday 7-31 and I was guaranteed delivery on Saturday Aug 1st (today). I did not get a call with the delivery time frame the nite before so checked on it at 8:00 this morning and found out it was canceled til Aug 4th with no notification. So to sum it up. I have no working dishwasher and no range in my home for a week!!!!!! This has been the absolute WORST experience!!!!! There is NO customer service what so ever!!!! They do not care that I have been inconvenienced at all. Home Depot has done everything in their power to make things right but GE has NOT!!!! My name is Shelley and my number is 913-302-3436 just incase anybody cares!!! I seriously doubt it.....

I have been a homebuilder for many many years and have constructed over 3,000 homes. I also have GE appliances in my personal residence. Just recently, my GE profile refrigerator broke. it took approx. 4 days to get a customer service representative out to look at the unit. he indicated that it was a broken evaporator fan which was not covered under warranty. he ordered the part to be shipped fed x and scheduled an appointment for approximately a week later. the day he was to be here, I received a call putting the appointment off for another day. the next day I received another call again putting off the service call for another week. in trying to deal with GE, I found it impossible to get through to anyone who cares about the customer.

the product is junk and one of the local service vendors refused to work on it. most every ge appliance today is made in korea or other foreign land where quality is job 0

bottom line, buy anything buy ge products. they are junk and the company does not give a damn

Never again will I buy a GE product. The products themselves are only so-so; the customer support and service Dept's are horrible! I have a GE refrigerator less than 2 yes old that started making a horrible, loud noise. The freezer didn't freeze and all the food therein was lost. I called for service and was told it would be $89.95 for a service call. The time frame was from 8-5. The fellow came, looked at the fridge and said he didn't know what was wrong - it might be that (during his visit) it was in the defrost cycle.(!!?) His advice, wait and see. He said he was sorry but he still had to charge for the visit with which, of course, I concurred. I went to write a check and he said he only needed the tracking #, no need to fill out the check as he was doing it electronically. Then, he gave me a receipt for $130.99._I was aghast and said I was told it would be $89.95 - why the additional $40.99. His reply, "for me explaining to you that I don't know what's wrong". He volunteered that he is not allowed to leave without charging for something/anything extra. He also volunteered that all customers are shocked at the additional charge when nothing has been done or fixed. Yet, there is nothing the repair staff can do, as it is company policy that additional charges be made. Had I actually written a check I would have only made it for $89.95 but, slyly, I was duped into giving him the routing numbers thinking it would be for the amount stated when I made the appointment. Well, I will not buy another GE product and, from here on, I will deal only with local, independent service providers. GE should be ashamed!

A year and a half ago I purchased a GE refrigerator. During the time in our home we have had 6 service calls to fix multiple issues. Some problems fixed but the fridge continues to randomly freeze the food in the fresh food compartment.

The warranty ran out before the problem was fixed. GE service and "engineers" said that my food was not placed correctly in my refrigerator and that was why the sensor was not able to control the temperature correctly. But when contacting customer service about exactly where this correct area is they said the engineers could not specify because there were too many variables. My point is that I feel they made up a outrageous solution because their previous attempt at fixing it did not work.

After service they wanted me to confirm the fridge was working but I could not do that. They closed the case without my permission and agreed to give me a letter of intent that extended GE's payment of service and parts for one more year for my unit. Good thing because January a motor failed and needed to be replaced. And a week after replacing the motor the fresh food compartment was frozen again.

I again had to contact the customer relations department and was told that my option is to service the unit but that they will not replace it since it is out of warranty. (Even though the problem occurred during warranty and they continue to be unable to fix it)

The GE customer relations department is extremely hard to deal with. They bounce you back from your case manager to the customer relations advocate pretending to try to help, but actuarially wasting your time without a solution.

Now I am perusing this case with a third party and GE is not able to find a way to email or print a copy of an invoice of my past service. They also said it is normal for the service man not to leave a receipt when service is performed under warranty. So how do I get that information.

I would not buy a GE product again. I feel the customer service department is trained to try to minimize to amount of service given. They put off the customer as long as possible hoping they will eventually give up and go away, or long enough that the warranty will run out and the customer will no longer be their problem.

To whom this may concern,

On 12/31, my fianc© and I purchased a washer/dryer combo from our local Athens, Georgia Home Depot for our new house valued slightly below $1,000.00. We had a very intelligent and helpful representative assist us in the purchase, and we were confident in the store's delivering of the units a week later on 1/7.

After the units were delivered (and tested for 5 minutes), the washer began to make a loud screeching sound from the motor of the unit. While the washer didn't leak, the agitator no longer moves, rendering the unit little beyond a soaking tub.

My fianc© called the delivery company number given to us from the representative, who informed us that the problem "must be because of something [we] did to it." We were instructed to try and "break in" the unit, as the brake pads may take some time to loosen up. Even though we asked for immediate service and/or replacement, the representative refused and we had to call again the next morning.

Now, over one week after the initial delivery, we have been informed that we will receive service next Tuesday (1/20), while in the meantime we've been forced to go to the laundry mat. While I understand the Home Depot warranty would have aided this ridiculous fiasco, I feel it's outrageous that a machine which hasn't worked completely for one load will have taken over 2 weeks before anyone would come and see it.

At this point, I no longer have interest in being a patron of, what was before this, a favored store of mine, and frankly will be seeking to replace the unit and seek new units from Lowes.

This is not an attempt to receive special treatment, but I find it disappointing that what was supposed to be a memorable experience between two newly weds buying their first house and first new appliances for that house has been reduced to a nagging headache from which I see no hope of resolution in the near future.

I hope this is taken into consideration of future washer/dryer deliveries, but will now associate anything Home Depot with this specific instance.

I can only hope this issue is resolved.

I purchased a stainless steel GE Profile refrigerator five years ago. Before it was even two years old the invertor board went out $800 to repair. Now, three years later, the invertor board went out AGAIN $600 to repair. This repair person told us that most invertor boards for other refrigerators are only about $150. The GE model is the only one this expensive! Expensive JUNK.

I have a GE stove I purchased almost exactly 5 years ago. The bottom of the inside has rusted out right where the material was bent to fit. I spoke with a customer service woman who was very nice but said there is no repair. If she sent out a tech it would be at my cost. This is not a burner burnt out. This is the inside of the oven rusting out. The you can do is give me a discount on a new GE. Why in God's name would I want another GE when u won't stand behind what I have. This is a manufactures defect let's be logical but you will not stand by your problems

I am trying to find a customer satisfaction survey to fill out. Two weeks ago I called regarding a bottom rack for our dishwasher that was rusting. I spoke with Glenda. She was outstanding! She listened to my concern and immediately helped in sending a new rack to us free of charge. She called a week later to see if it had arrived and we were satisfied. It went exceedingly smoothly and fit! You don't always get such efficiency and care for the customer so we are very thankful Glenda is employed with you. Virginia Webster

we had service on our micro wave and the door was replaced. We have two doors that the service man mis-ordered sitting on our front porch (per his instruction) waitint to be picked up. It has been two weeks! We called the 800 number and after 15 minutes of being transferred gave up.
You have two days to pick them up, then into the trash!

There once was an after market appliance parts distributor.
The compnay name was GEMLINE.
They sold parts which I used in my business for years and years.
They were either the same part or EVERY BIT AS GOOD as a GE part costing 3-4 times as much.
GE bought the company and put it out of business.
GE is all about
Greed Everytime
Gouge Everyone

We purchased Christmas lights last year from Sears. They are GE C5 70 LED. Once on the house, half of them starting to not light up. Our Christmas decorations were a disaster. Of course, I had thrown out the boxes and was not able to return them once we took them down. Very bad quality. Out of 18 sets, 10 of them failed. I don't want to put up the other 8 for fear that the same thing will happen. What a disappointment!

I just recently purchased a GE range from our local Home Depot store and when I got home I noticed that the broiler pan was missingor so i thought it was missing. My husband went back to the store and explained that the broiler pan was missing from range that we had bought from them. They stated that broiler pans do not come with ranes any longer. My question is why is Home Depot aloud to display them as such and then when you get home a get your range there is no broiler pan. I can't tell you how irritated I am. To me it is like looking at a range in the store and you see that it has grates on the cook top but when you get home you don't see any grates and when you inquire about there where abouts they tell you that you have to purchase the grates seperately just like if you want to use the broiler you will have to purchase a broiler pan seperately. That is just ridiculous to me and what irritates me even more is that is the way they are displayed in the store (with broiler pans) I would suggest that the sales staff make people aware of this by telling you that what you see is NOT what you get because you must purchase the broiler pan seperately. Poor customer service all the way around (Home Depot and GE)

Monday August 12, 2013 the water feed line to our Profile Fridge began leaking, all over our wood floor. We called GE Service and made an appointment. The agent said a technician would call in advance between 1 and 5 pm the next day to tell us when he was coming. There was also some chance he could come earlier. We stuck around all day till 4 pm when I called the Service Center to ask when he'd be coming. The operator could not reach the tech, but assured me he'd come before 5. He did not. I then called again, this time the operator insisted we did not exist on the verification site. I asked to speak to her superior, who also had trouble finding us, but finally, when I suggested she check by name, she did locate our information, but not our service order. She implied that there was something wrong with us. I hung up. This was a ridiculous experience and I will make sure it doesn't happen again. I'm posting wherever I can.

I am now waiting for the GE repairman for the second time in a week. Both times I was given a 4 hour window, and both times the guy exceeded the 4 hours and was late. In relation to the first visit, he was told the part that needed replaced (the water dispenser on a stack washer and dryer) and came without the part. This despite the fact that I had spent an hour on the phone prior to all of this to make sure this did not take place. Regardless, I have had the washer/dryer for less than 6 months. Now the process to get it fixed is into its 3rd week. I realize I will never get any satisfaction here, but this is it for me and GE products. I am very disappointed and warn others to check the repair service in their area for any product they buy. This could be a lousy technician more than a universal service issue.

I have a GE Harmony gas dryer for 7 years. It has needed 3 service repairs in that time. A few days ago, the circuit board went. I was charged $89.95 for the visit, and told it would be $290.00 for the part, and an additional $115.00 to install which would take 10 minutes. He advised us to replace the dryer. I found the part online for $167.00.Had I gone along with the repair I would have paid a $228.00 premium to the cost of the part. I will never buy another GE product again.

Here is the truth of the matter. There are only a few maybe 5 at the most manufacturers that make household appliances. They all make inferior products and they know that consumers need their products so their attitude is that you have to buy from one of them so, therefore they do not care. Hence, poor Customer Service. I hope this will relieve you of the frustration that you will get from them.May God bless us all.

To Whom It May Concern,
Just writing to let you know , I bought a 5 cubic ft. chest freezer from Walmart. We bought it in November of 2012. The most unusual thing happened today , March 25th , 2013. I have a 19 month old great grandchild , girl. The chest freezers power and adjusting temp control at the bottom right front of the freezer , My little great grandgirl was able to pull out the adjusting controls , and sparks flying every where, thank god she didn,t get hurt or electrocuted , which , COULD OF HAPPENED. Please take this as a VERY SERIOUS matter . Or someday similar thing will happen with someone elses child and death could happen. I was shocked as to how easily a 19 month old baby can pull out the controls with her bare hands.

Thank You
Sincerely
Andrew E. Peterson Sr.,

Just purchased a stove General Electric from sears I have had four exchanges only to find the grates after 3 days od use are chipping and popping up at my face. There are lumps s and bumps on every model they send out on the front face so the white metal stove. All exchanges have these same defects. The store modem is perfect with no cosmetic blemishes products is assembled in Mexico. The model is jgb250det2ww. I guess I'm going to put a complaint in with the BBB. Sears is still selling this model on the floor and a allowance was offered but I refused it. I want a model just like the one they still have advertised on Sears Floor in the store. I am working with GE Sholanda and have not received a correction to this problem

We purchased a GE front load washer for $900 plus an additional $150 for the stupid pedestal for that it sits on in late 2010. In a year and a halfs time, we paid $300 in repairs to fix a machine defect conveniently not covered under any warranty. As if this wasnt bad enough, cut to 2 years later and the washer completely stops working. Cut to a $100 GE technician service call that lasts 5 minutes which is just enough time for the certified repairman to tell me that the parts and repair work will cost as much as 2 brand new washers. Thanks GE for selling such poor quality machines, with extravagant repair costs leaving consumers with their hands tied. You officially have one less consumer that will ever buy or recommend your products to anyone ever again. Oh, and your consumer relations phone number is a waste of time. Thanks for "noting the complaint" in my "file".
