Dominion Power needs to update their outage information system. We have been without power since 11:30pm on 10/11/18. Status has been the same: see below:

Dominion powers home warrenty program with its product and services is awful. ITS A RIP OFF AND I HAVE NOW CONTACTED CHANNEL 7 ON YOUR SIDE AND THEY ARE VERY INTERESTED IN THIS STORY. I have wasted enough time trying to take regular dominion chanels. DOMINION IS WEFUL. i will fully call out dominion. GET READY !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Today, January 15, a helicopter hovered for a long time right above the trees by our house and then our neighbors.Why, is Dominion Power going to build the power lines here and not across the river??? How can they possibly build one more power line here and is that the reason why they "without notifying the home-owners of this" chopped down trees on our properties?? Something really smells bad here. How cost-effective could this possibly be to build that power-line here and not across the river? It makes absolutely no sense at all to do this just because a few spoiled Kingsmill residents oppose the lines going across the river.

Requested power to be turned off on the 13th. Checked acct online and it was scheduled properly.. tried to call on the 14th to see why it was still on but it was Saturday so they were closed. Never recieved any calls to say there was any issue... NOT HAPPY

Unable to get phone service being put on hold 3-4 times for at least 25 mins! I am having a power problem where the meter is continually running high with no one in residence, It is a beach home and confirmed my neighbors no one is there plus I have the only keys! My bill is increasing exponentially each month and at this rate the power bill will exceed my mortgage payment. Compared to last year same period it is obvious something is wrong and I thought Dominion monitored usage alerting homeowners of questionable usage. I can't get any response. The 3000 number refers back to the number I have been having problems Is no one home in the Big House to help customers???

I am not one to leave a public comment; however, this time I feel deeply compelled to do so.
I have had a terrible experience this month. First I, just moved and had my services transferred. I waited for a bill in the mail, none came. I woke up to them turning my power off. I called made payment and was ASSURED it would be turned on by 8 p.m.
It is now 9 and 32 degrees in my home, WITH NO POWER, NO NUMBER TO CALL, and young children. I had arrangements made, until they ASSURED me it would be on TONIGHT!
THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE!! All they had to do was say, it MAY be tomorrow. No biggie! But to assure me and have my children now subject to this weather has me UNBELIEVABLY upset!!!!

Virginia Dominion Power..Thier customer service stinks with attitude. All they give about is money. Take forever to turn service on.

Don't ever even try to use the Dominion Credit Union. They are anything but customer "service." They'll charge you all kinds of fees and then refuse to help you even if the fees are charged by mistake. They have no desire to be helpful to anyone, only to prove their own point, if you ask for "help."

My tenant in Norfolk VA has been stealing electricity from Dominion VA Power for months. I had reported this issue to Dominion VA Power every week for the past couple of months. Dominion VA Power has not done anything. The guy is still stealing electricity. I took the guy to court today due to non payment of his rent. The judge told him to move out by 19 Step 2014. The guy will probably continue stealing electric until then.

Requested a service relocation due to some home renovations. They postponed 3x, delaying my construction schedule. When they finally showed up, someone turned off my power at 9:00am while workers were pouring concrete inside my basement. SHUT the lights off with full knowledge it was dangerous to do so.

8 hours later, 10 phone calls, and no crew has showed up to relocate lines. 2 small children a dog, hot day and 2 fridges of food. Friday night, possible weekend without power???

WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE IN HISTORY. I would never choose to use this company if I ever had a choice.

it says on their home page hours of operation M-F 7am to 7PM but when you call them they tell you they are closed. Also my bill was more thatn last year and I never turned on my HVAC for heating! Now that is weird. How can they be?? No heater turn on and its up? in KWATTS.

Wanted to think the man and woman that came out to my house on Sunday morning because I had a tree come down on my power line to my house. In my line of work I needed my computers and my lights for work at home and not to mention the power line was still energize on the ground. They were very professional and safety concerned, and had me back up in no time. I think them over and over again, but to me it wasn't enough so that's why I'm writing this and wanted their Supervisor to know that he or she have outstanding people working for them!

I called at noon on Mon. 7/31 simply to report trees laying on wires, recorded message told me there was a 21 minute wait to speak to anyone! That seems ridiculous to me.

Over the pass month we've had to power outages and our areas ( the area of lindenwood in Norfolk va area code 23504) the overall response time is horrible. It takes about 4 to 5 hours for the power to get reconnected in that area while other areas power are back on and least then in hour. I don't want to state that it's a minority thing but I've lived here in Virginia in the Norfolk area for over ten years and I've seen and lived and location where other place seem to take president over my current residents. Could someone please look in to the issue. There are a lot of elder people(navy and marine vets) that leave in this area the cant effort to be with out power that long. Suffering and the heat with no ac or having to worry if there food is gonna spoil cause they been without power that long.

This site was VERY helpful with the phone number and instructions on how to get to a real person. It worked and I actually got a pleasant person. Amazing that the website for Dominion Power and our local phone book does not list a phone number at all that I could find - they have "well-insulated themselves" from the public they serve!

Trying to pay on line is impossible. Trying to talk with a human about it is also impossible. You would think that someone wants to get into my account so they can pay the bill. Ridiculous! It should not take a half hour to try to pay and thaen to get locked out of the account.

...In addition..they are extremely rude! I had super high electric bills Jan-Mar of 09.After many inquiries as to why, they changed out my old meter for a new digital one.(w/out my knowledge).In Apr. of 09,my bill DRAMATICALLY dropped. I called and asked for a refund from previous months and I was pretty much laughed at.So much for small biz owners making a profit.The Big Companies make sure that doesn't happen.Thank Dominion Power.... There will be inquiries as to why I was overcharged.Being a single mom and small biz owner,I feel like I need to take matters in my own hands.

Customer service does not exist in Dominion Power. The people that answer the phones cannot solve any problems nor will they connect you with anyone who can.
