cub cadet is junk and the people in customer service and management are rude and insulting.
Read the reviews below to see the experience other people have had when dealing with customer service from Cub Cadet.
Unhappy customer at the moment. My last 2016 Cub Cadet
was great until the PTO dropped out leaving half the bolt broke off in the engine block. Sold it for parts. Purchased
a return from Home Depot that only had 24 hours on it last
October. Now it only has 52.2 hours on it. Not even a years worth of use. Had it checked out today for drive issues, slow drive power, hardly any reverse. Bad Transmission! Its a 2020 xt1 with a Cub Cadet engine. Looks brand new sitting in the garage, while we pay someone 75.00 a week to mow the grass. What should I do other than not purchase another. All the YouTubes have been watched and hopes of a easy fix lost after being diagnosed by a professional technician. What to do? I think Cub Cadet should step up!
Tech service is apparently overwhelmed. Just want torque specs for front and rear wheel bolts and nuts. Not in manual. You call, leave message and miss the call back. Then you have to call back and get in line again. My xt 46 performs well but will be checking out other brands come replacement time. I hope to find more responsive tech service support for simple maintenance issues.
I reached out to this number 800-965-4282 and listened to music for 20 minutes without an answer. This is the way big corporations handle issues or complaints, by ignoring them!. Dealing with corporations your size is frustrating. I purchased the ZT150 from Home Depot and they arranged the shipment also. I would like to share the picture of how the unit showed up and the truck drivers attitude towards the condition was less than desirable. This unit took a couple of hours to uncrate safely due to the fact the trucking company placed a standard skid under the original tractor skid which folded it up and under the mowing deck. I am also missing the deck wash attachment for the mowing deck.

I sent an email to corporate office at [email protected] explaining my dissatifaction with my challenger 750 which I purchased from Cass Outdoor Power in Cassopolis, Michigan. In brief it obviously was not driven before delivery. I was told it was new. It actually had 466 hours and was very roughly used by a school. I only drove it a few times and parked it until John the owner at Cass Power picked it for repairs. The speedomoter did not work==showed 0 always--there was a squeak in the front tires, winch motor would run off and on when not touching anything and the 2/4 wheel drive didn't work. John picked it up and about a month later I got it back. They were in no hurry as snow blocked access to his barn to get a trailer. The squeak has come back worse than before--as if brakes are on which I told John the first time-=the radiator fan was running after shutting off and found no fluid in the reservoir so I put some but must have a leak, and on April 4 while driving in the field went to stop and had no brakes only to find out the reservoir was empty. I added fluid pumped brakes but can't get a pedal. Must be a leak in the line perhaps associated with the squeak. Shifter must be played with th be sure it is in gear--was told it probably needed adjustment and John would adjust next time they got it in the shop. As I thought I bought a new utv I asked John for my money back and was told they don't have the cash and he would pick it up maybe tomorrow. I'm asking for help in either getting my money back or a new unit. I'm sure I'll have future problems as the school obviously abused this one and if I have to keep it what happens when the warranty runs out and what can I use every time it goes to the Cass Power shop. Thank you for your time.
I have a 3x 26" snowblower which I purchased 2 years ago. The only complaint I have I'd that the paint on the auger cover's paint is bubbling up, blistering. There is no damage to the paint to allow moisture to cause this. Today, as I touched it, one of the blisters did break and it appears the perhaps it was not primed prior to the final coat. Needless to say, I am not too happy about this, especially after haviing MTD's for a number of years and never having something like this occur. So, my question is, where do we go from here? I look forward to your reply. Thank you, Pat
Worst experience I've ever had owning and servicing a tractor. Discontinued parts for a 10 year old tractor, was mocked when I expressed my dissatisfaction with zero parts availability and mocked when I asked what l was supposed to do! "It's a 10+ year old tractor, what did you expect?" Yes, it's my fault for buying a Cub Cadet! Never Again, & FU2.
Dear Cub Cadet
My daughter bought her husband a riding mower for Fathers Day 2019. It has 12 hours on it bc it's been broke and the parts ordered are always wrong. My daughter tried to get the Store to replace the mower since it broke within 30 days of purchase but the store refused saying " The affected part was the carburetor and it's not covered. I could see if the mower had hundreds of hours but to have poor customer service on your brand after 12 hours is not sending a good message about how you stand behind your products.. it would be greatly appreciated if you could communicate with stores that carry your brands to be more open and aware when a breakdown after 12 hours occurs. To be making payments on an item that has broken after 12 hours is really heartbreaking. I have always bought your mowers and understand why my daughter chose to do so. I know I will hear from you as your company makes this right.
Thank you

bought an electric start walk behind mower opened the sealed box (customer service suggested that the store I bought it at lost the parts). Missing is key and the start button the battery charger,as it needs a special type, some kind of break in oil and other "stuff" I don't know because there was no manuals parts list not even a warranty card they said the start button and oil is in route via US Mail only God knows when I'll get the paper work because that's coming from somewhere else oh yes the charger is on back order. Cub Cadet is owned by a company called M T D they own a lot of other lawn mower company's don't buy any of them spend a little extra money and buy a JOHN DEER but check they might be owned by M T D
I've only used my mower zero turn for four years bought it new the drive belt comes off at lest 3 or more times a summer I've had it to lanes our local dealer two or three times and it still keeps coming off. I would not buy another cub or recommend anyone else to buy one very dissatisfied with mine I've spent over 600 dollars trying to get it fixed but still having trouble
Proud ownerofcub cadet bought it new in 1999 developed high crankcase oil pressure pumping oil up to carburetor no one has any answers can you please help It has 18 hp. Briggs and Stratton. Was thinking about buying a new Zero Turn Cub Cadet but if itdevelops issues such as this and no one has answered so I may not purchase it
I purchased a 2017 Challenger 750 this summer and it has given me nothing but grief. At one point the machine was kicking out of gear at times where it could have hurt or killed one of my grand children. I let the dealership know and they simply said to drop it off and they'd look at it. They were able to re-create every issue I complained about and said they fixed it. They did not and I complained again an said I wanted the name of someone from Cub Cadet that could help me. They gave me your cust serve number. Can you give me someone who can help me? This machine doesn't even have 50 miles on it and it could kill someone. I asked the dealer to help me with putting it in for the lemon law but this Mukwanago dealership is worthless.
Cub Cadet warranty claim service is provided by Cub Cadet, or it is by mtdproducts?
There is NO email or online Warranty claim process provided on Cub Cadet website.
3-times, I called them, and they put the line on hold more than 1 hour and then disconnected.
VERY POOR SERVICE.
