A repair truck driver just drove by my house on Hawley rd. In Glenwood Iowa at 90+ mph the speed limit is 35. He was going way too fast to get a truck number. This happened 15 minutes ago. I'm sure you know who was in this area.

Centurylink Is The Absolute Worst Company I Have Ever Dealt With. All That I Was Trying To Do Is To Get A Line Trench In To My New Construction House And I Was Bounced Around 9 Different Locations, Usually To People With Such Thick Accents That They Couldn't Be Understood By Anyone In Our Household. They Didn't Understand The Issue And When We Asked For A Supervisor We Were Diconnect On Three Occassions. Once We Got Someone Who Could Understand/and Be Understood They Apologize After They Tried To Contact Several Locations To Provide Help And Got The Same Results As We Were Getting. This Company Should Be Shutdown!!!!!! All The People Wanted To Do Was Sell Us A Bundling Package...which Is Pretty Hard To Do If You Can't Even Get Them To Bring The Telephone Wire To Your House From The Road.

We have had problems with our internet speed for approx. one year (following work that century link crews did in our area) Century Link tech support has given every excuse in the book why our service is alright. Approx. one week ago a telephone support person advised that they showed us having several errors on our line and a field tech was scheduled to arrive. When the tech arrived (10/18/16) he also verified tht there were isues on our line and would be back the next day to work on these. On 10/19/16 the tech returned but now he started baslming our band width usage as the problem (never mentioned the errors that two people found) and that we could have had the performance that we'd had prior to this work being done.

The tech even had a laptop trying to show the band width usage. The repair ticket was closed but the tech also said that we were at the end of the distance for good service but he was going to try something else and bring one of century link's modems out to try (even though I had installed a new modem on 10/12/16 which was compatible with century link service). I advised that I wasn't going to pay a monthly fee on a modem at which time he advised that he would just give it to me to use.

REMEMBER - we're talking about a CENTURY LINK tech? This field tech kept telling me that MediaCom was a better service provider than Century Link and that's who he had. He was actually promoting MediaCom to me.

What's with this? You can't get the job done right so you try and push a customer away that's been with you for over 10 to 15 years instead of trying to fix the problem?

I'm appalled at the service we are now getting but are still expected to pay our bill on time or our service is shut down.

Some NEEDS to explain this to me as a consumer.

Just passed a Centurylink truck on Sheridan in Denver.
The driver is going 35 mph with both thumbs fully engaged with his smartphone.
This is dangerous and has to stop

I'm going into my 2nd month of trying to get internet service at my location in Springer,NM. I was given a date when the Technician would be out and he was on time to hook up my service, BUT he informed me a Digging was going to be needed and a New Line would need to be laid down since the existing lines where so old. OK NP, so I had thought, he told me it would be approx. 2 weeks for that to be able to be done. OK 2 weeks later I call to see if there'd any new information to when this "Dig for the line" might be getting done,?..... Told it was going to be yet another 2weeks as this was something that is contracted out to a contractor and NOT done by the technician. I was given the phone number of whom I would need to talk to on that being done, and that person in turn gave me a number to yet another that would be the one actually doing the dig. In the conversations with those persons I was given yet another time frame of 2 weeks!!!!! OMFG!!! So now here it is 1 month and almost 3 weeks later from my original call to have service hook up for just INTERNET!!!! Yesterday I once again made a call to see if I might be able to be given an answer to my wait and if I'm might have an actual date of things being done!!! Ughhhhh.... The woman that spoke AT ME as she didn't care to hear what I might have to say, was very RUDE!!! And once again pushed off a phone number to me to call the contractor! I tried to ask her why it was that,I was having to call these people? Why it wasn't there job to find out what the issue was as to WHY they hadn't been out and taken care of a matter that they are contracted for so that their pending customer might have their services up and going?!? Only to be told I needed to make the call which I did and once again to be told by the contractor he'd look into it and give me a call back......yeahhh right that has yet to happen.... Now I haven't yelled nor raised my voice as of yet but I am just about to that point. I'm beginning to think I'm just gonna have to go out and dig this damn hole myself!!! Pretty damn sad. I am limited to options of service providers due to where I live so this pretty much sucks!!! If I had another place to turn to I sure would at this point in time.

Worst Company I have ever dealt with, people are rude, every year they add another $20 to our monthly bill, they also a $3.50 convenience fee for using a Debit card. When you pay early they start charging late fees because their automatic system can't handle it. It is amazing a company which deals with the public has a 33% customer service rating is still in business!

Their automated machine is terrible, but the people are fantastic. Push through the machine and you're sure to get good service.

I just set up internet service with centurylink and I have not had it installed yet but so far I am pleased with the customer service and prices. Actually spoke with two people, the first guy was very good but I felt a little pressured and uncomfortable going into a firm decision. My phone died in the middle of talking to him and I'm kind of glad because it gave me a few minutes to think over everything and I did not have that luxury while I was on the phone with him; having 50 different prices thrown at me. So I called back and spoke to a different representative named Parker and he was great. I felt more comfortable and free to my own decisions and price ranges. He set me up with something more affordable and beneficial anyway. I wanted to leave a comment that he was a great asset to the company and I'm satisfied thus far as a brand new customer.

Scammer company. They will bill you for fictitious things, and tell you to prove them wrong or they will send it to collections. Even with proof that they are wrong, they will still go after you for something you don't owe. Why are they still in business? Put the CEO in jail.

I am currently being billed for Internet service I don't have. It's been over 3 years since I had service with them. I called them about this matter and I was assured it would be corrected. That was several weeks ago. I got a disconnect notice & numerous E-mails. I worked there for 28 years. Their customer service is a joke.

After 72 hours of no shows for getting a phone line problem resolved, I've come to the conclusion that its time to contact the BBB and voice my concerns to them. I'm currently on hold for 2 hours on one cell phone and 30 minutes on a second cell. They have put me in contact with: Corey of Georgia, Will of Tenn., Julia address unknown, Dani of Wiscon.. It's a shame that a company of this magnitude has this much disfunction and we haven't even got your line yet. But tomorrow might be a better day. Sure hope Mr. Glen F. Post 111 get to read these. Thank-You for your time cause you have used a lot of mine. AL.

We are seniors, just quit Direct TV because we cant afford it. Called Centurylink to lower our home phone and high speed internet bill.My husband talked to an agent and got no satisfaction; she (Linda) said our phone alone would cost $41.He said it was too much and that we would go to another company--she said "ok" and never tried to help lower the cost. We didnt even get a chance to tell her we wanted a pkg with the high speed internet. If we could get the internet (we need to use Skype to see our grandkids) and phone for $50 a month, we could stay with Centurylink. She was snippy and didnt want to help. Please help us to do this. We are members of AARP and NARFE (husband was a former federal employee). We would like to stay with Centurylink if we could afford it. We could get rid of our home phone and just have the internet, and we could go to any company for that. Please help. Thank you.

On hold for over one half hour, Ridiculous quality of service for a phone company. No incentive to stay with land line. No excuse for such lame service and hold.

Century Link in Boise, Idaho is one of the most dysfunctional companies I have ever had contact with. I live in Houston, Texas, but recently moved my mother to an assisted living facility in Boise. My brother lives in Boise also. I called Century Link on July 2, 2015 to set up a land line in her room. At the time they told me their least expensive plan was for $45 per month. My mother is on a limited income and $45 is a little more than we wanted to spend monthly, but we went with it. They also told me on that day to call back the next day so my brother and I could be authorized to speak on my mother's behalf since we deal and pay all of her bills.(she has dementia and can't handle billing issues anymore.) We also set up to have her monthly bills to be automatically withdrawn from her checking account.I called the next day and had my brother and I added to her account. We noticed that a $135 debit was taken out of her account on Sept. 25, 2015. We called twice today to find out about the matter. First, they refused to give us ANY information because they claim neither my brother or myself were authorized on her account! I had it documented from back in July that we were, but they said we weren't. It simply came down to our word against theirs. I also might add both men I spoke to today were rude, and one was a supervisor! Both were also very defensive and argumentative. We had to fax our Power of Attorney so they would talk to us. We found out that the $135 charge was two months bills! Apparently, they forgot to take out one month! What kind of company operates like this? Also, our monthly bill is suppose to be $45 plus tax. They then said it was not $45, but $49! I was told and documented that it was $45 back in July. They refused to believe me. They also mentioned that the tax is $20 per month on a $49 bill! How can that be? That tax wasn't mentioned to me back in July or I would have refused. All I can say is something strange is going on with Century Link in Boise, Idaho. We plan to have my mom's phone disconnected. By the way, Manny is the supervisor in Boise I talked to. He refused to give me his last name. Why am I not surprised? They don't deserve our business.

I received a $50 CenturyLink bill from a collections agency 3 years after I'd cancelled my service. I had the service for 8 years so it's obvious I didn't let my account go delinquent or I wouldn't have had it that long or have been to cancel the service and not have them after me for 3 years. It's very upsetting that the company would pursue an illegitimate claim after 3 years when I was a customer for 8 years. They were not helpful when I called them to try and resolve the issue either.

I've never had this service yet I receive a bill. Have not called will do that in a day or two just because.

Unbelievably bad customer "service." Ridiculous menus and LONG WAITS at any number you call. I had a horrible experience last year and now my discount is ending so I am giving them one more chance to give me a loyalty discount or I will switch to my cable provider ASAP, which has faster internet service.

I tried 2 or 3 times to reach someone to talk to. All I got was a recorded voice , with a remark that someone would answer shortly. I waited, and no one came on the phone. When I finally got a real person on, he left the phone to do something and never did return. I finally hung up and gave up. I still have not got my problem resolved. First off, I hate the animated messages--press 3 for this, press 1 for that. Second, I have a negative view of Century Link. Your customer service leaves much to be desired.
