I'm so dissappointed in Carnival. I scheduled a cruise for 2 balcony's & set up for autopay because 1. That's the easiest way & 2. I was on a Carnival Cruise the day my final payment was due. Unbeknownst to me my cabin was cancelled due to non-payment & I WAS NOT contacted in any way. I had even called Customer Service on 5/10 regarding a certificate I was interested in using but was told I could not because it was only for new bookings. The rep did not mention anything about my Cancellation due to NON Payment". I had already filled out all the check in information on line, printed our luggage tags and recently had been trying to enter our passport info. I couldn't find my cruise under "Manage My Cruise" so finally I called again. Reluctantly because there is typically a 15-30 wait time on hold. Thank goodness for speaker phones. Finally, after speaking to Beverly she told me my Balcony cabin had been cancelled & $400 forfieted. OMG!!! How could that happen? She said it was due to non payment & they had tried to reach me at my home email address. My emails for both home & business go to my BB & I received nothing from them in May except Advertisements. Why didn't they call any of the 3 #'s I provided them? We're traveling with another couple so I couldn't just not go. I was offered another balcony with an increased price of $500 which would be a total rip off. Progresso is a crappy port & not worth an additional $500. I settled for an inside cabin on an upper floor but I assure you this will be my 7th & final cruise with Carnival. Their service over the past 9 years I have cruised with them has deteriorated and is disappointing.

As I completed my booking for inside room & reinstated my original deposit I asked for the confirmation emails to be send to both home & work email addresses & received both Surprising, no issues. I feel like Carnival should have reinstated my Balcony and albeit not the same cabin, should have given me the same price. They do not care about their passengers, only their money & will take it any way they can. This is another example of BIG BUSINESS not caring about the customer only the $$ and offers nothing for poor service because there are very few other options for cruises out of Galveston. I HAVE A CHOICE and it will no longer be Carnival if they don't step up and show honor & integrity.

After a long wait our party of 4 boarded the Carnival Freedom on May 5, 2012. We were setting sail for an 8 day Southern Caribbean cruise. A long awaited vacation for all of us as we have to travel such a long ways to be able to cruise and a costly way at that.

For my wife and me, it was our 3rd cruise with Carnival and the other couples 2nd cruise.

On Monday, May 7th, one of our party members became sick around 6pm and then another around 9:15pm. Both with the same symptoms of diarrhea and vomiting. This lasted throughout that night and part of the next day. We could not go ashore in La Romana to enjoy the port. Then on Wednesday another member of our party became ill with the same symptoms.

We started asking questions to other passenger as it was very noticeable all the “snoozing” signs on everybody’s cabin door. The people in the cabin across from us were also sick with the same symptoms and from what we gathered – so were many others.

While coming back on board the ship on Thursday, we ran into a male nurse, standing in the doorway of the medical center on ship. We asked him if there were reports of other people who were sick onboard the ship but all he would do is grin at us. He was of no help what so ever and would not elaborate on anything. He only rolled his eyes, over and over.

Then Thursday evening, we (the party of 4) went to Guest Services to make a complaint and at least let Carnival know that we became ill. We were all healthy people prior to this. We became terribly ill aboard the ship. The lady at Guest Services was of no help. She just kept asking us if we needed to go to the Medical Center. At this point we were all feeling much better and we just wanted to lodge a complaint. We needed someone to listen to us but we felt that it just fell on deaf ears. This lady behind the counter finally did make one promise to us however, she would let her supervisor know and we would be getting a follow up call from them. We regrettably left the service desk, unsatisfied but it seemed that was all she was willing to do. Well, we are still waiting for that call as it never came.

Well now that I’m started, I may just as well let you know of the other things that weren’t up to the Carnival standard that we have been used to. For instance – the cleaning of our rooms. There were several times that the garbage can was left in the center of our cabin, and we even had a dirty cleaning rag left on our table. In the dining room we would order our wine and not receive it until after the main meal was served. The piano bar was terrible. The man playing the piano in Scotts Piano Bar had to be the worst singer and player ever.

Yes Carnival, I am pissed. All of these things along with getting sick and no one caring or wanting to listen to our concerns will probably make me look twice at another Carnival Cruise form now on.

I will end by saying this:
When we stepped on the Carnival Freedom we were all worth a million dollars but when we step off we weren’t worth five cents!

I am just getting over the cruise that we recently took on the Freedom Carnival. My husband and I have taken many cruises with Carnival and until this cruise were very, very satisfied with Carnival. We were so looking forward to this trip that we traveled 10 hrs by car from Lexington SC to Ft.Lauderdale Fl.We arrived and everything went sort of smooth until we found out that our party of 8 would not be seated together at dinner. Our rooms thank goodness on the 8th floor were all together but we found out when we got there that we were not seated at the same table and nothing could be done about it. We chose not to eat Saturday night in the dining room. On Sunday when inquiring again was told that we would be moved to the Chic dining room and would not be in the Posh as we thought we would be. To be honest we found the food to be the worst we have had on any ship we have used. Then it started; one by one we came down with some kind of virus with myself having to go to the sick clinic and be quarantined for 24 hours. Mind you I had already had a whole night of stomach cramps really bad a couple days before the real"mccoy" hit. nausea and diarrhea and weakness so bad. Believe me I was so sick. Then our group started talking to our neighbors and found out that we were not the only ones who had come down with this thing. The whole 8th floor seemed to have the problem and we don't know how many more on the other floors. But,.....not once was anyone informed that there was some kind of virus going on so that folks could take extra precautions; the only thing that come over the speaker was that everyone should wash their hands. I guess its our fault that we were on the 8th floor and the food court was on the 9th floor and believe me that was one terrible mistake. The noise from above was unreal. To be sick and lay in bed with the noise was terrible to say the least.
especially on an inside room I feel like our group of 8, 4 who came down with this thing was cheated out of the vacation that we so looked forward to. I think we all can say that this was one of the worst. I wonder if Carnival Cruise Lines could reimburse some of our trouble. Sincerely, Verle & Russell Harrelson.

We just returned from our cruise aboard the Carnival Freedom. We have crusied with Carnival severa times in the past and I must admitt this by far was the worst experience we have had. My apple Ipad 2 was stolen/taken from our stateroom, just one day after boarding the ship. We reported it stolen right away to guest service and ship security. They did a internal investigation and advised us their was nothing they could do for us. Our cabin person cleaning our room told me he saw the Ipad the night he cleaned the room, but changed his story when interviewed by security, stating he only saw the carrying case and not the ipad itself. Im very upset with the lack of concern Carnival has shown to us concerning the matter. Second Carnvial never advised us that their was a Virus that had broke out aboard the Freemdom and aprox. 100 guest where sick and had to be treated. We notice an increase amount of Bleach was being used everywhere. No one from the ship told us anything, we heard about the virus from the news and other hotel guest once we arrived back in Fort lauderdale, Fl. Will we travel with Carnival in the future is a huge question in our mind right now. This was our 8th cruise with them and maybe our last.

SECUTITY AND LUGGAGE

I checked in all of my bags at 12:35 pm when I returned to my state room at 17:00 there was a letter from guest services requesting that I contact security due to a bag being locked that they needed to check. This had caught me off guard since I did have straps with the locks on them that were TSA approved and were not locked. I had not locked any of them. However this was the only one not delivered. After an hour of floor to floor searching and no easy exit, back to Guest Services and complained to them they told me they had the bag there and someone directed me to the back room. Now 17:40 really getting tired here, security guard told me he needed to get into my bag I told him it was not locked, he told me it was, I popped open the strap another security guard that was there stated guess it wasn't locked to the other guard his reply OH WELL... He stated to me that there was contraband in my bags and once they were removed I could have the bags back. I stated to him that I had served 22 years in the Armed Services and there was no contraband items in my bags. He searched my bags I had a Bud Lite bag/cooler that he thought had beer in it , to his surprise contained water. He tried to tell me that there was Vodka or Gin in the water I told him no he examined several of the bottles and decided they were water, There were 2 6 packs of soda also in the bag. This security guard was so focused on finding something when nothing was there. He finally got done 18:20, heavy bag he stated to me would take an hour or two to get the bag to my stateroom, told him thanks but no thanks would take it myself. And the Journey begins....

STATE ROOM AND AIR CONDITIONING ISSUES

As we got on the ship and went to our staterooms to drop off some small bags and see where things were before going to the deck to watch the ship pull out. We turned on the air conditioning in both staterooms. Put some bags up and went to the deck until appx 17:00. We returned to our staterooms to find 7-394 extremely cold, air was working excellent in that room. Went to balcony stateroom 7-404 to find a very hot and humid room. It felt like the doors were left open, however they were not and the drapes were also pulled, there was no air conditioning in my stateroom (7-404) kept complaining to her about the air all the way up until Dinner service. Just a run around...

Finally after letting the room cool off until 12:13 am on the night of the 9th finally we finally got someone to verify the temp in the room. He stated 72 degrees, took him to my other stateroom where you could feel a drastic difference in the temperature, he checked it and stated it was 71.6. I wasn't born yesterday there was no way these rooms were even close to being the same. Asked for a fan for my room. My wife had just asked several minutes before and they stated they were all issued out. So I asked for her to go back to guest services and attempt to talk to them again. She did and a kind woman form India and no she did not get her room stated she would find and arrange for a fan to be delivered. At 12:46 fan was brought to the room. As stated in all of your brochures I complained every day and there was never any thing done to cool off the room except a fan to circulate the HOT AIR... This is unexceptionable by any standards. Unprofessional.... What they would not check the stateroom during the Day time temperature before the ocean breeze had time to cool off the room..... only in the evening when it was colder outside than it was inside. I got a gentleman to look at it Saturday as he was working on the floor and he stated the fan to the vent was not working. He expressed his unhappiness with his other workers and told me this could have been fixed day one if the right person would have checked it. I thanked him for I honestly believed his commitment to guest satisfaction. I am sorry for not getting his name would have liked to give him a nice compliment. To sum it up 7 days NO AIR.

CAYMAN ISLAND EXCURSION

This excursion was done by Websters Tours LTD. BUS # 16. This tour was advertised to go to the Turtle Farm, Hell, and the Tortuga Rum factory. For the most part this was an excellent tour especially the turtle farm. My four children were totally excited about this farm. When we went to Hell my wife was really looking forward to it as she planned on the internet to send off post cards and some other things she had found in her searches. When we asked the lady that was running a market store where some things were she stated to my wife that actually Hell was next store across a small field, where we were was just a small store and a Bar next door. I asked the tour guide and he stated we did not have time to go next door. I wondered why we were the only bus in the lot and there were several just down the road. There was another lady on the tour with a handicapped child that told us she was here before and this is not where she was taken it was across the way. NOT HELL I did take a few pics to back this up. Upon returning to the ship tried to explain to Guest Services however went in one ear and out the other. With a cheerful comment “oh you must be mistaken. Really....

DINING EXPERIENCE

We dined in the RENOIR UPPER ROOM 8:15 Service.... and I will say nothing less than outstanding for the whole 7 days. The Staff was extremely professional and you knew that there was always a sense of take care of your Guests. This was especially evident with THW: Mr. Vasanthan, TW: Mr. Rico, and ATWZ: Slobadan. These 3 Gentleman really shinned for the Carnival Staff and much could be learned from them. My family will always hold them in the highest regards and pray for safe travels for them. At the final dinner service I gave my waiters and servers $100.00 tip in thanks for the excellent services rendered.

DEPARTURE BAGGAGE PICK UP SERVICE
A gentleman was picking up our luggage at appx 22:00 hrs He demanded that we get all of the tags and debarkation slips on the baggage. The Stewart only gave me so many and my wife was making an attempt to get 4 or 5 more. It was only 22:00 hrs. I contacted Guest services and my wife had to go there to get the tags. Once again GREAT SERVICE... Mr. Dewa who was picking up my luggage along with another Gentleman basically threw my one bag off of the cart and I must admit I did raise my voice and told him that I would not tolerate him treating my property that way. If he was a Guest in my Home I would have treated him and his property with a little more respect. He stated he understood and was trying to explain his deadlines. Which were not the same as mine. Once again totally unprofessional.
SUMMARY

Sorry to be so blunt have had a Great time with Carnival in the past and never complained once. This trip you combine $4,000.00 worth of rooms, one with out air, service that was way below standards unless my standards are too high. A check In that lacked professionalism and attention to detail. A excursion that was payed for and not delivered as advertised, No Air. Did I say No Air in the Balcony stateroom, just making sure. A young man that was more worried about meeting his dead line that treating all baggage as if it was his. Excellent Dinner Service.

This is the first time that I have a negative comment about Carnival Liberty. I am a milestone cruiser with this company and after 32 cruises I was very disappointed with the new design. Adding the two new bars by the major pool took away deck chair space and being with children they do not have to watch the drunks hanging out right there. They do not utilize the pool area only stay for the booze. It was impossible to get by them to go to lunch or walk around the pool area. NO deck chairs at all available even at 8:00 am Guy's burgers are nothing great, yours were of better quality. The new dining menu is bland to say the least and your choices in the dining room are not up to expectations. With a family of seven travelling we do not go to the Steak house or specaility rest. I also am shocked that as a milestone member no special perks given. My husband is a platinum member and was given same little gift for loyality. No stationary. I realize Carnival is cutting costs to make up for COSTA but to keep repeat customers lets think a little bit beyond a welcome abroad party. Don't get me wrong I love CARNIVAL and have been on all the other cruise lines; please do not sacrifice your reputation just to attract the drinkers you have always been a family fun vacation stay that way!! Beware Carnival cruise ship Paradise sailing from tampa Fl.
On March ! 2012 my wife and I along with about 19 other friends and family took a 4 night cruise to cozumel mexico. This was our second cruise to that port.We have cruised the eastern Caribbean several times with Carnival as well as R.C..I myself have had a U.S.passport since I was 12 years of age,I am now 70 never had misplaced one before. On this cruise after showing our passports to U.S. customs I secured them in a zippered pouch on our carry on luggage and boarded the Paradise.I did not secure them in the cabin safe as I normally do,my mistake.Apon the day before arrival back in tampa went to fill out our customs dollar purchases form and found our passports gone.Notified ships security and they did a cabin search and did not find passports. They also told us they notified U.S. customs that our passports were gone and to red flag them, which Carnival did not do.When we arrived back home on the 5 of Mar. my wife called U.S. Immigration and told them of our stolen passports and at that time they red tagged them, they also told us to download a written report and mail it to them which we did.Carnival now tells us that the case is closed and the cost of our replacement passports is our problem.Do not get me wrong,we all had a wonderful cruise apon the Paradise, the ship was clean and the service was excellent. There is someone aboard who had access to our cabin E 3 and went through our luggage.Happy sailing on the fun ship.

I hate to sound mean or anything but maybe your husband should have never worn the badge. He no longer works for the company and could have caused confusion if there was a really emergency. You both put other passengers at risk, I understand that it was for fun and games but that not funny. I understand carnival should not have acted like this but you both put them in a bad position......I would be upset too.

Hello Fellow Cruisers:
I must say I had Loved Carnival Cruise Line no matter what others have said in the pass.
To my shock and dismay I have joined the list of never again. I meet my husband in 1995 on the Ecstasy Dec 4 on 4 day cruise he worked on the ship. We exchanged phone numbers and developed a friendship and he ask me to marry him. I return to the ship on Feb 23 and we were married on the Ecstasy.
My husband left the Cruise Lines in 1996 and we have been Cruising together ever since. We always book around Oct- Nov to celebrate our anniversary and we have done this for over ten years. My husband has his old name tag and he always wears it on the Cruises. It is just a conversation item, people ask were he got the bag and we tell them our story of meeting and his working for such a wonderful company and getting married on the Carnival Cruise Ecstasy how GOD arranged everything.
The name tags have changed through the years so his is very old and does not look like the others. Well this trip on the Carvinal Glory the Security asks him on Wed were he got it and he told them. The security began to get loud and very threatening toward him for having it. So he left the area and went to the cabin and put the name tag away. Thursday morning about 9:30 three Security came to my room to take the badge and I told them its put away and you will not see it again. They yelled and threaten to through us both in the hole if we did not give them the bage I finally just closed the door to my cabin. Thursday we were to go to port Grand Turks and as we are line up to give security the room card so we can depart the ship one of the Security agents grab the card from my husbands and and bent it and was saying all kinds of ugly and disrespectful things to us in front of other passengers like we had done something wrong. My husband and the Security agent really got into it it was embarrassing. I was so hurt . I had called and ask to have a meeting with the head Security Officer over the agents on Wednesday and no response.
Now this embarrassing screen of Thursday in front of the other passengers. We had book a tour and on the bus that was all you could hear the people whispering and laughing and talking about what happen to us . I was too embarrassed to continue the tour we left and went back to the ship and I went straight to the Officer over the Security agents and we had a un-successful meeting. He never heard what I said " told him I didn’t feel safe because of the actions of the agents and he just skip right over it like I had said nothing.
On Sunday we were to depart since we are platinum members we get to leave early. Not this time we were held back as we were leaving saying they wanted to talk to us embarrassing again. I gave the agent my card to swipe it and it set of a very loud alarm my husbands too. Yes extremely embarrassing. We waited over 10 minutes and I told the agent I had to go and he said "no here they come " two Carnival Cruise Line Security agents walked over to me and my husband and began to yell at us saying they wanted us to sign this letter and I said I wasn’t signing nothing. The lady tried to take it out of my hand and I would not let her. We walked away with they yelling at us that we were no longer welcome on the Cruise Line EVER if we did book they would KEEP OUR MONEY AND CHANGE US FEES FOR BOOKING WITH THEM. I was so hurt and embarrassed. I would have never believe it If I did not record it. Yes I have video recording of the meeting and how we were treated as we were leaving the Ship. My heart is broke I did nothing to deserve this I have been faithful and true friend to Carnival Cruise Lines I went there thinking the next time we Cruise it will be with all over family since my daughter is getting married and she wanted a Cruise Wedding. Not with this Cruise Lines they are not to be trusted. The trip was horrible for me and my husband who was recovering from back surgery. I really need my money back. The ruined my trip I traveled all the way from Alaska for this mis-treatment.

To whom it may concern,

My name is Sara Bennett; I recently took a 7 day western Caribbean cruise On the Carnival Dream, with my mother (Mary Bennett) and her best friend (Linda Uselton). I have to honestly say this was the worst cruise I have ever been on. My mother repeatedly ask the person that booked our stateroom that she had to in our booking notes that she would need a roll away bed. And repeatedly she was told “Yes it is in the booking notes.” My mother literally spoke with this booking agent once or twice a month from April of 2011 until we left to go on this vacation in November of 2011 and was told, “Yes the roll away bed is in the notes.” When we got on the ship and were able to go to the room there wasn’t a bed. My mother is elderly and so is her friend. They are not able to climb up on the bunk bed. Nora was I. that is why she repeatedly asked during every phone conversation that the roll away bed was in the notes. We went to the service desk for help and my mother was told by the person quite rudely that there are No notes in her booking and they can’t do anything about it right now we would have to wait until later that night and we could “Maybe.” Move to another room. My mother then asked what we could do if there are no rooms. She was told it’s not there problem that we have to just deal with it. Because there are no notes in the booking about the beds and this ship doesn’t have roll away beds. And they will call are room and leave a message “IF” we could move to another room. The staff at the help desk were no help and extremely rude and in no way willing to help with this issue. We did get a phone message in our room that there were no rooms for us to move to. But nothing after that along the lines of addressing our problem. I find it hard to believe that the booking agent lied to my mother on numerous occasions over the phone about the roll away bed notes. The booking agent should have known there were no roll away beds on this ship. That falls squarely on the Carnival cruise line company for not providing the necessary training for the booking agent to give accurate information about each ship. Had this information been told to me I would have simply booked another room for myself. There was more than enough time for that. And all the other notes where in the computer about my mother’s food allergies and eating restrictions. But somehow the roll away bed note disappeared? Or was never there? I fill lied to and overwhelmingly disappointed with carnival. The staffs in general all over this ship are unfriendly and some are just downright rude. The only person that helped us with this room situation was the very nice and helpful room attendant. I spent $498.37 on this cruise to sleep on a mattress on the floor! Spending 6 nights sleeping on the floor is not what I would call a relaxing and enjoyable vacation. And I wasn’t about to ask my elderly mother or her friend to get down in the floor. I will NEVER cruise Carnival Dream again. This was my 2nd cruise with carnival and it was such a bad experience I would not recommend this ship to family or friends and would have to think hard about recommending Carnival for trips at all after being treated so poorly. If this company cares so little about its guests I will continue to cruise with Norwegians cruises and not waste my money and time with Carnival.

I've taken about four cruises - I will tell you Glory was by far the worst ship i've been on. The employees seemed very unhappy the ship did not appear clean. And the food was by far some of the worse food I've had on a ship: I'm truly disappointed. I have cruised the larger fleets with RC and i'll say it's comparing Apples to oranges. The cruise director "josh" was a joke: he was more of a "use car salesmen"... Wow we've expereinced the vacation from hell - Thanks Glory!!

I am a 50 year old born and raised in South Carolina . I'm a voter , veteran and I'm now disabled .My question is why dose the Carnival Cruise Line which is docked in America and biggest percentage of passengers or Americans don't half to follow the ada ( Americans Disability Act ) . How they could go so far away from it to actually penalize you for being disabled . From the time I rolled on their ship in my power chair to the time I rolled off I was treated no better then 3rd or 4th class . I filled out their medical forms alerting them of my condition be for the cruise and was told it was no problem . Once they had my money and had me on the ship it did matter . It started right off , at the safety meting where they made it clear because where my cabin was and my inability to deal with stairs . Well lets just say I should be prepared to meet my maker . Too being denied access to parts of the ship . Too being told there where no excursions for me or anything I could do off the ship because I was handicapped . They told me this right in front of my daughter , I think it was the first time the chair ever stooped her from doing some thing she wanted to , it was also the first time for me . It didn't stop there , I couldn't let my wife and daughter down , so I made the decision to try go ashore any way .But Carnival had another trick up their sleeve , they didn't line up the gang plank right so I was thrown out of my chair trying to exit the ship . I could go on but there is no need to beat a dead horse , even tho Therese allot moore .Please explain how a company can not follow the ADA and actually make it clear they don't have the time or desire to try and make it tolerable for the disabled . I like to think of my self as independent and not need much help dealing with my disability but dam when the cards are stacked this hi against you . So please help me understand how this can still happen in America

BEDBUGS ON CARNIVAL LIBERTY! My companion and I sailed Nov. 5 to Nov. 12 on Carnival Liberty and returned home with BEDBUGS. We had not traveled anywhere else several months prior to the cruise and the ship is the only place we could have gotten them. We are now battling to avert a major infestation and this process will be expensive and exhausting. We have contacted the corporate office at Carnival and we are posting this message wherever possible so that people can be warned. Carnival must address this issue quickly.

I gambled in the casino and made money on the poker tables the entire cruise and paid cash every night to settle my bill so that the money played in the casino did not go on my debit card. The last night I brought $700 cash to the front desk to place on my account and they assured me that my debit card would not be charged. My debit card has been charged for $648 and it is thanksgiving day so the Carnival Cruise line is closed and I don't have any access to the money on my debit card. I don't have enough gas money to drive home and therefore am stranded in South Carolina until tomorrow. THIS IS BS!!! I GAVE THEM $1,300 CASH TOTAL AND HAVE THE RECEIPT TO PROVE IT!!! I wish I had known that the cruise line was not to be trusted with my money. I will be formally complaining non-stop for this inconvenience. I recommend any other cruise line for your next vacation.

Just returned from my fourth and last Carnival Cruise. The room and hallway smelled like a bar full of smoke. The temperature of the room was freezing. The food in the formal dining area was at best average and disappointing. The time off the cruise liner was not enough time to complete the activities planned on land. Try to disbute a charge on your account that is not yours, impossible. Why can't the employees speak enough English to assist you. They just look at you and smile, this was creepy. I did not tip the waitress in the formal dinning area as she keep getting in my face to take my order and her breath was so bad it took everyone's desire to eat away. Personal space please..... Disappointed to say the least. Thanks for damaging two suit cases.

My husband and I sailed with carnival on Sep.2011. My vacation was ruined the first day of our cruise. I had a missing piece of luggage, yes missing luggage. I was told over and over by the staff that they were not done distributing the luggage but i was still worried since i recieved my other piece of luggage. Around 10pm after still awiting for my luggage I knew something was wrong. Long story short, the security knocked at my door at 11:30pm and informed me they had located my luggage. My luggage was opened and it was obvious someone had gone through it. They assured me someone would contact me in order to compensate me for my losses, which were estimated at approximately $1,200. In addition, I had asked the guest services for face cleanser and facial lotion etc… NOTHING was provided but cheap carnival mouth wash/ face cream. They stated they did not have any decent face lotion availabe. By the way, I used the face cream to clean my face and the next day my face was irritated. I'm not blessed with beautiful skin. Oh, not to mention they do sell Lancome products in the boat, however, you would need to pay for them (the bag missing carried all my face lotions, wallet and other personal items). I only checked in the bag because my shoulder was hurting. I had a torn shoulder and was awaiting surgery at the time). As we cruised, I waited and waited for someone to contact me but no one ever did. Not even a free excursion!!! I was later told by security and guest services not to worry, that I would receive a call from carnival and they would compensate me in some way or form. I waited a month and got no phone call. I called carnival a month later and got this, “we regretfully apologize what happened Ma’am, however there is nothing that we can do.” WOW!!!! Really! BS. All I have to say is CARRY YOUR OWN LUGAGE!!!! Oh, and do not travel with carnival. Their fruit was a disappointment! It's funny how they will tell you not to worry and make you feel as if they will take responsiblity. It's a front to make you go away. Then again, this is not a surprise but my husband was surprised.

Hello my name is Overtis Jones Jr. My wife Janet Jones and I just returned fro a cruise this past Thursday on the Fascination. We have been on several cruises with Carnival because of the bad experience with another cruise line. The last 3 cruises with Carnival have been GREAT! But, this last one has left a bad thought of carnival. We were in R-2 and family members were in R-4. First day we had a flood in our bathroom when we turn on the shower; feces came from the other drain which flooded the entire bathroom floor. We were now afraid to take our shoes off in the shower in which we basically took wash ups for 4 days due to this problem, the guy came and said that the plummer would come to fix the problem he never showed up, plus as we turned the water on the smell of feces was the odor we received, the guy came and sprayed but the smell was what we had to endure the entire time. The entertainment seemed to be minimal compared to the other Carnival cruises we had been on. The food was extremely beautiful, but the taste was very bland, unseasoned, we could not believe it. So we ate pizza and sub sandwiches the entire time. The burger line was not an option as it had been on previous cruises. I still would like to uphold the Carnival cruise image, but this cruise was my anniversary and we are planning another outing to take the place of this cruise. The photo prices have went up to $22.00 a photo WOW!!! I even gave a female that was on her first cruise money to get a photo. I do believe that we may go on another cruise but we have to think hard on it, if we are to take it with carnival. I was just letting you know of a few things that you might want to check into to. You can contact me at [email protected] if you want more information of what my wife and family members thought of this particular cruise. Of course everyone wanted to know how our anniversary was. We just told them we made the best of it being together.

we have been trying to book a cruise since the last week of August and finally this week after waiting 50 minutes got to speak to an operator who was churlish and unhelpful. Every day after waiting 20 minutes each time for an hour gave up.
then only to be told "too late bad luck you have missed out".
Not good enough for a gold member of captain's circle. Help please

To Whom It May Concern:

My wife, son, my son's fiancee and yours truly just returned from an Aug. 7th through Aug. 14th Caribbean cruise on the Carnival ship "Legend" residing in cabin no. 8169. I am a Carnival platinum member and as always this cruise was great, no different from any of my previous Carnival cruises except for a mistake by your people in making up the sign and sail cards. My card carried my photo and my 20 year old son's information and his card carried his photo and his 69 year old father's information. Although the Carnival people were very courteous in their attempts to rectify the problem, the glitch was never corrected. Every single time that we exited the ship for an island or returned to the ship after an island visit, neither my nor my son's card rang true. As previously stated, the crew was very courteous and accommodating however it was still embarrassing and humiliating to hold up the line or be asked to step aside while the problem was addressed (new photos taken, information checked, etc.). None of these corrections seemed to help for each time I or my son left the ship, returned to the ship or attempted to purchase something on the ship the same problem would occur. Each time as we approached the card reader, it was 'heart in your throat' nervousness followed by embarrassment when the cards rang bad. The problem was never solved even though new photos were taken at the gate and after many trips to the Guest Services Desk. The final embarrassment came when my son's card rang bad as we exited the ship after the cruise was over in Tampa, FL.

I (we) will continue to cruise Carnival but my hope is that you will take measures so as to not put another family through the above described embarrassment. I am an engineer with many, many years in the profession. I know that we are in the computer age but in most cases these types of glitches are easily rectified. I'm asking that you please staff your ships will at least one information technology (IT) savvy crew member and hopefully not allow this to happen to another family.

Regards,

Ernie Brown, PE

Most of these comments are a JOKE!
Carnival cannot control weather.
Carnival cannot control missed connections, cancelled flights.

Carnival is not my cruise line of choice.. but it's certainly not the evil of the cruise line witches out there..

Do your homework.

Upgrades rarely come for free. Agents will tell you to call back to check on possible upgrades..just to get you off the phone right away..

Buy Insurance, I always get it through Travel Guard Insurance and they DO cover weather delays, missed connections, jury duty, court hearings.. missed cameras, missed cruise due to tornado hitting your home... (all these examples taken from previous posts..)

Your vacation is what YOU make out of it.
Happy sailing everybody!..

The Glory of Carnival Cruise Line, never got a respond back for my disappointing 5 day trip was the worst and paid to much for the bottom room which was not told that the rooms and it was very noisy and rocky trip from New York to St John Canada.
I was very disappointed how rude one of the lady's in customer services was.
Some of the family was sick from that terrible cruise. I would not recomment to anyone and never go on again.
We should be refunded some of our money back.

I am an 11 year old girl traveled on nightmare ship the Miricle. They lost my luggage and had no care if I had clothes. All the told me was there company policy. We sailed from New York on 6/23/11 and returned on 7/1/11. My grand father argued with supervision and they were going to call security and have my grand pa locked in his room. what would I have done then all because of Carnival policy. No interest in customer problems.
