Capital one has always been the best in this kind of business. they helped me out when i was on my downfall, and assist me all the time that i needed help from them. Cap1 never failed to impress me. The credit card that they are offering has a lot of benefits that I can really enjoy since I'm travelling overseas most of the time. They don't charge foreign trans fee unlike other banks which is really helpful. They also have this kind of benefit that would protect me from any unauthorized charges. Kudos to Capital One!

Well ladies and gentlemen let me give you another horror story about CAPITAL ONE. I've been with Capital One for over 10 years, so I know when my statements are suppose to come in the mail. Okay. Didn't get a statement for March. All right. Mail sometimes gets misplaced in another mail box. See, I live in a rural area and have to go to a post office to pickup my mail. The bill is due on the 16th. I called on the 11th of March, yes a rep told me the bill had been sent. So I made a payment by phone. Okay. April is here and I haven't received a statement for April. I called trying to figure out what in the world was going on. Rep told me that since they couldn't verify my address they had changed it to my physical address. What a LOL. They had receive a payment from me every month, NOT A LATE PAYMENT, A BEFORE PAYMENT THAT WAS AT LEAST 10 DAYS EARLY. Now they decide to change my address because they can't verify it. Something smells. I was told they would send out duplicate statements, but this is the 11th of April still haven't received a reg statement or a duplicate and the bill is due in 5 days. The rude rep told me I could make another payment by phone. GET READY ATTORNEY GENERAL OF THIS STATE TO RECEIVE A THOROUGH COMPLAINT ABOUT WHAT'S IN YOUR WALLET

capital one for me, is the best credit company. called for additional credit for emergency i needed to buy my son a gift on his bday on 3rd of march. new here in capital one and i'm loving it

Capital One is a lousy company that offer no protection against fraudulent online sites. I was billed $19.95 for a service that I never received. Spent almost two months and several mailings trying to get a refund. No luck! Since I have great credit I just paid the bill. I decided not to cancel the card because that would be doing them a favor. Keeping the card account open will cost them money. The ONLY reason I can think to have any credit card from Capital One would be to purchase things from or in a foreign country since they have no transaction fee.

typical for low budget card --- overseas customer service (poor connections, unintelligible pronunciation, echoes and background noise) --- high rates for cash advances --- unsolicited offers in the mail box every week.

If you want a CC company. Use another one. Anything promoted by Alec Baldwin can't be good. Because when you phone them, they give you the SNL treatment, hand up on you, and disconnect you, place you on hold indefinately.

Consumers beware: Worst Customer Service I've ever experience in my Life! I purchased two airline tickets with my capital one card and was told by the Capital One representative that we had delayed and lost baggage coverage. This was not true! Because of this misinformation, I elected not to purchase travel insurance and my bags were lost by the airline for 5 days while I was out of the country. The airline didn't know if I would ever see my luggage again so I purchased everything I needed for my 3-week trip. Capitol One Reps are telling me now that the phone call was not recorded and so they have no record of any Rep ever telling me this. I got pushed to six different Reps and spend hours of my life trying to get reimbursed for this and in the end all I got was a measly apology for my troubles. This was a gross misrepresentation of the product and Capital One should be liable for this; yet, they offered no compensation and didn't take responsibility for the situation. It was because of Capital One's Rep, assuring me that I was covered that I chose not to purchase a travel insurance that would cover such delays. I am so disappointed by Capital One's lack of integrity. I want to tell everyone about this situation and encourage everyone to do their business elsewhere. It's not worth your time doing business with them. Keep walking.

Canceled my Capital One payment due to my split with my fiance, since the payment would have been coming out of his account. I was a little behind, so, despite the cancelation and my proof that the payment was indeed canceled via email, they put it through! They refused any wrongdoing, and very rudely said they see nothing indicating it was canceled. Except my EMAIL. So 4 overdraft fees later, I'm going to the attorney general.

I was approved for a Capital One credit card recently and received the card by mail. However, the fraud department called and said to fax a copy of my I.D., Soc. Security No., and current bank statement. After faxing the information to them, I received a call from Capital One (someone named "Ron") who told me my name was not on the bank statement previously faxed to them. My husband's name was on the first few pages of the account but my name was listed on a page included in the fax. When I told "Ron" to look a little closer at the bank statement, he apologized and said he would call my bank to verify the information further. About five minutes later he called back and said my credit union did not have any such account! When I told him he must be mistaken because we've had this account for almost 30 years, he said he was going to close the credit card account. I then called my credit union and was told by a representative that they would never verify bank information to anyone without the credit union member (me) being on the line (three-way call). I'm so angry now that I will NEVER do business with this company again.

I had a $8000 credit line and slowly they began raising the interest rate from 9.9% to 17.9% for no reason within a 2 year period. Had no late payments and made at least 6 payment a month. I called several times and they refused to lower the interest rate giving me every excuse possible. When I said either give me a lower interest rate or I'll pay off the balance immediately. I had a $7500 balance and paid it off in a week. About 15 days later I get a letter in the mail stating they lowered my credit line to $5000 giving me all BS reasons.

Capital One is in the game of giving you high credit lines with high interest rates. Thats how they make their money. The second they found out they werent making any money off me, they immediately lowered my credit line. The rep even admitted it was because the only activity I had on the account was paying down my debt to them.

The sited the BS reason they sited was because I had no mortgage (which my house was paid off), my debt to credit ratio was too high (16% of my total credit line from all my credit cards was used up leaving 84% of it available), and BS reason 3 was I had a high balance on the card (mind you it was paid off in full 2 weeks prior to the date of the letter).

So if you have a credit card with Capital one, Be very wearly they play the Chase game. Start you off with a low interest rate, they give you a higher credit line and slow start to increase your interest rate, to make more money off you. The second you pay it off and dont use the card, they start killing your limits.

Dispute process for unathorized transactions is not very convenient. It says Zero fraud liability but takes forever to give you your money back. Its been 3 weeks now and I have yet to receive my funds and i have done all the paperwork and process for my dispute.

Consumer BEWARE! The Consumer complaint office does not serve the customer. Be very, very careful if/when you provide your card to a "service". When that "service" is in dispute, the burden is on you! There is NO SUPPORT from Capital One's Dispute Division.

I got approved for a card weeks ago and it still hasn't arrived. I can't even call customer service because you need a card number which I don't have. Lousy customer service.

Can not get the Message Alerts to come thru. Three calls to tech support, several changes, but nothing works. Two out of the three tech support people siad thet have had the same problem with their own card accounts!!!! Back to BofA I guess. Their system works.

It has been 2 days and I cannot get to my online banking money market accout. I have tried every link google can produce and it goes nowhere. No email msg expl of problem. This is riduculous and I am going to close my account after 4 years!

I called customer service to make a payment over the phone, i stated several times how important for the payment to post because I was applying for a home loan. Iafter giving her all my info, I hung up. A week later I noticed the payment was not taken from my account.

Capital one did not post my payment , and reported me 30 days late! When I called them and asked why, I was told that I did not listen to the recording after the payment, I WAS NEVER TOLD! My score dropped so low that I am not qualifying for a low loan rate. Is there anything I can do?

I have been on the internet and also Capital One's web site for numbers to contact customer services. Your company must be the only company that is closed at 17:00. Can you please supply me with a direct number so I can speak to an advisor, without having to go through an automated system. I would appreciate a return of e-mail to advise.

I was past due on my account im not gonna lie. I was told once I payed the payment I would be able to use my account again only to find out they locked my account once I made the payment and I was lied to by there customer support. I wasted my money thinking I would be able to use my card again only to get screwed.

All these comments made me feel better. I called capital one today to pay my minimum deposit on a secure credit card. I was on hold for like 10 min, when they answer the phone again he greeted me like it was a new call. I told him that I was already on hold and I explained everything again. He puts me on hold again like gagging like he didn't had a clue of what he was doing. Then a girl answer and I explained again an she puts me on hold. Finally another "different" girl answers the phone and I explained my self again and she said ooooh sorryyyyy we have no sistem we are gonna have to call you back ok? Byeeeee! She didn't even let me sy anything and hang up the phone. By far the WORST costumer service ever, they made me feel Dom, clues, confused and mistreated.

Just realized the charge of not paying off bal. each month....another RIP off ...get charged for having a Bal..even though I pay 3/4 times the Min. payment..THANKS CAP ONE...once this is paid it WILL BE CANCEL'd.
Everyone..anyone seeing this do them--get a card somewhere else that does not RIP you off if you need plastic..

Capital One delivers very poor customer service. In fact, they don't know their customers. I have two accounts with them:
auto loan and credit card. I applied for a business credit card(reference number 00012425910068571) three weeks ago with my personal data as the owner of the business. I made several phone calls for a status on the application after supplying them with a copy of my driver's license and social security card and got the response " we have received the information and it is under review with your application for a decision". Today, I got a different response" we are able to verify the information on your driver's license but we are unable to verify the data on your social security card because it is too light". This is ridiculous and a joke. They have all of this information on file on the two accounts they I currently have on file with them. None-the-less, I requested cancellation of my outstanding credit card application and that they return the copies to me. You figure out the rest. NO SUCH LUCK. I was directed by their incompetent staff to send a letter requesting such to an address provided by the representative.
