We rented from Budget8 passenger van in Cancun, mexico. very unhappy with the service. We had called twice and confirmed the reservation and when we reached there they did not have any van, waited 2hrs for the van to arrive and it was very dirty with hair on all the seats and smelt of cigar. when we told them they just acted like that is not a very important issue. We had a 8month baby with us who was tired and cranky. They said if we need the car cleaned than it would be another hour and at that point i was just ready to get out of there. Engine light was no and when told they said nothing is wrong it just stays on.

I rented compact cars on a weekly basic in the month of may 2013 from location at 750 South Arroyo Parkway Pasadena,Ca 91105. The Hyundai Accent seats were dirty with stains every time I rented the car which could have been wiped off and disinfected as I did myself this seems to me to be a health and safety issue since I don't what is on the seats it looks like bodily fluids as this was told to the rental agent who did not seem to care and stated her manager told them to just clean the outside of the car only but prior to her saying that she stated that the spots were old and that the seats had been cleaned also saying we have to pull the seats out to clean them I was never even offered an upgrade to a cleaner car there were several cars on the lot and she was told I planned on contacting the corporate office again did not seem to care keep in mind customers are listening to all of this, also you don't even get a spare tire just fix a flat. My experience with Budget was upsetting. First my customer rep was rude and acted as tho she didn't want to help. At times her tone was rude. She gave me wrong information on renting and prepaying for my car. I ended paying twice as much for another car with another company because of wrong information. No one had a solution to the problem,the only thing they could say, was "I should have been told/", which is not a solution to a problem. MY money has not been refunded to me.

I rented a car on the 5-7th of May from your Quepos,Costa Rica site.

What upset me is I did not fill my car with gas---used less than half a tank. You charged me $114 for gas at $ 12 a gallon.

Had I been informed that this is what I would pay if I do not fill the car with gas. You should make your customers aware when they first get the car.

The staff had no sympathy---and i consider this a rip off. I go to Central America a few times a year and Budget will not be part of my plans.

Do not buy the Gas service option. It will charge you for the full tank instead whether you use 1 gal or less. I have a hybrid sonata rental car and I use it for about 100 miles. The gas price in LA was 4.08. I could have use at least 5 gal at most but I got duped not knowing they charge for the full tank.

Utah budget rental, just made a reservation at their murry location. They had closed early before their posted closing time, when i called the number on my reservation Musa was anything but helpfull. Not worth the savings.

We have been broke down for more time than expected and haven't been helped out. We still face a problem getting home. We have set this last time for four and a half hours. I have my Grandson with me and my puppy who is very hot. Hasn't ate because she gets car sick. No one seems to care. I have a person with me who needs there medicines who have health issues and no one with this company seems to care. I would not ever recommend you to Anyone else . I hope you all can sleep at night. I will be contacting a lawyer and see what my rights are and how long you can keep a family stranded without rest and proper sleep and health issues

I left my celphone in a budget car 5AM Saturday morning. Began calling CLT Budget ALL day on Saturday, ALL day on Sunday & off & on today. NO ANSWERS. The Mgrs voicemailbox is full & can not receive msgs. The Asst Mgrs extension does NOT work. The lost & found extension is NEVER picked up. HOURS of ringing phones have NOT been answered. Called two other Budget locations in Charlotte asking for help - NONE Budget to answer their phone to ship me my phone??? So far, EVERY Budget channel attempted has been SADLY INEFFECTIVE. My wife and recently flew to the Denver airport to and visit me while I was out of town for work. I rented an ALL WHEEL DRIVE midsize sedan. They told me for six days, it would a total of $534 w/ a gps unit. When my wife got to the rental company, they told they did not have any cars, but if she wanted an suv, it was going to cost $900!!! After 30 minutes of heated discussion w/ the manager, I told the guy to just forget it, and my wife had to go and get a hotel in Denver. I drove 5 hrs, thru the Rockies, picked them up, turned around and drove back. They cost us 2 additional hours at the airport for my wife and my two daughters, a hotel room in Denver, and 10 hrs of driving. They did even say they were sorry or apologize. WORST COMPANY EVER!!!.

We made a reservation 6 months in advance for Christmas Day on St. John. When we arrived we stood in a long line at the Budget counter. Every single customer arriving was told there were no cars available.
They would call us when one was available. We took a taxi to our private home (no other car agency had any available, obviously, on this day) and we cannot get the local ticket counter to pick up. Voice mail every time. It has been 24 hours - we are in a private house not within walking distance of restaurants, etc., with a small child. Can't seem to get the customer service people on the mainland to understand what inconveinence they've caused. NEVER USING THIS RENTAL CAR AGENCY AGAIN.

Very dissatisifed with my recent rental transaction from Budget. In March I made a Budget rental car reservation for a compact car at a great daily rate. Upon arriving at DFW in May I was told "sorry your only options are a pickup truck or mini van as there are no compact cars available, especially at the daily rate you made your reservation." We finally did settle for a large car as their offer to provide a Lexus for an additional daily fee was too high. With all the other options available to the consumer I know that I'll be renting cars for my trips through another rental agency in the future.

MY BOSS RECENTLY HAD ME DROP OFF HIS CAR AT THE BUDGET DESK AT THE AIRPORT IN CHARLESTON, S.C. AS HE WAS FLYING IN THAT NIGHT. ALL THEY HAD TO DO WAS NOTHING FOR 4 HOURS AND HE COULD PICK IT UP. THE LADY I LEFT THE KEYS WITH SAID "I'LL TAKE CARE OF IT" AND SHE SURE DID! SHE NEVER INFORMED THE NEXT SHIFT SO THE CAR WAS TAKEN IN FOR CLEANING AND HIS SECURITY BADGE WAS THROWN AWAY. RATHER THAN A SIMPLE EXPERIENCE THE FOLKS AT CHARLESTON AIRPORT BUDGET WENT OUT OF THEIR WAY TO COMPLICATE MATTERS. WHEN I WAS INFORMED OF THE SITUATION I CALLED AND USED SOME CHOOICE LANGUAGE WITH THE DESK CLERK...SORRY BUT THIS IS TWO FOR TWO WITH THESE FOLKS ON THE BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE WAGON.

MY WIFE AND KIDS WERE MEETING ME IN CHARLESTON, S.C. THE WEEKEND OF APRIL 16 TO 17 AND HER FLIGHT WAS CANCELLED. SHE CALLED BUDGET AT THE CHARLESTON AIRPORT AND TOLD THEM THE SITUATION. THE PERSON SHE TALKED TO SAID THEY WOULD HOLD THE RESERVATION FOR 24 HOURS. THE NEXT MORNING SHE DECIDED TO DRIVE DOWN TO CHARLESTON AND CALLED TO CANCEL THE RESERVATION. AT THAT POINT SHE WAS TOLD THE RESERVATION HAD ALREADY BEEN CANCELLED AND NO CARS WERE AVAILABLE. LUCKILY, SHE WAS NOT FLYING IN THAT AFTERNOON. CUSTOMER SERVICE IS VERY WEAK AT THE CHARLESTON AIRPORT BUDGET.

I'm a Fast Break customer and had called to prearrange for a specific vehicle for a two week rental on the island of Maui. Upon arrival at the Kahului airport the Budget representative had my paperwork all completed and the vehicle ready to drive off the lot. I spent less than 5 minutes at the counter.
5 days into the rental period there was a mechanical malfunction with the ignition system in the vehicle and it wouldn't start. Fortunatly,it was in the parking lot where we were staying.
Through a series of phone calls to the Budget roadside assistance person back on the mainland ( a very friendly and professional lady, Nefsteria), and the local Budget rep at Kahului, Gabriel, they arranged to have a new rental delivered and the disabled one picked up by a towing service.
This whole process was completed in less than 2 hours
I have always used Budget and will continue to do so.
Thank you, Budget, for a job well done.

To whom it may concern: I recently reneted a car in Montrose, Colorado (Airport) on 8/5/09. I've always had decent service and a good car with Budget, thus, my reason for booking with you all.

The management at this Budget franchise didn't appear to have it together. The customer in front of us voiced a concern that the vehicle they ordered was not in inventory and was basically told, point blank, they had to accept what was available??

When we checked in, the agent was disinterested and dismissive. We were returning one vehicle and renting another. We were not happy with the car we were returning (there were gear issues in the high altitudes; the car "struggled" to climb hills), She tried to make us accept it nonetheless. Not until we told her firmly we weren't taking it, did she gave us another.

Behind us in line, was the same customer mentioned above, who was forced to take the car, he hadn't ordered. God only knows what his issue was, but he certainly had one!!

Anyway, I'll give Biudget another chance and "chalk" this experience up to an isolated one.
