When I dial the number you have listed for this company I am told by a recorded message that my call is not allowed and then I am given a code T U A A N Does anyone know what this means and how I can reach this company with a question I have about the product I purchased from them?

awful customer service they might as well not have one as the one that is there is making things as difficult as possible wish i knew this before i bought the tablet. will make sure no one i know will buy from this company.

Hello everyone The Archos customer Service i agree with all of you it's a Joke i Emailed them twice still no response just an automated email i got the Archos 40 mobile from QVC it froze two weeks ago i sent it back to them and there site says they don't repair they send you a new one well i'm still waiting i no it got there i had it tracked bye royal mail so i emailed them still waiting i went to QVC they don't sell that model anymore it is still under the years guarantee and your all right this company service Sucks i will be Emailing a company to complain about there behavior and i demand a full refund and i will get a new Mobile not from this pile of crap company Thanks there a Joke

December 2012 we brought Archos 101xs . payed £249.00 for item. it is now July 2014 it has only lasted 18 months. Independant computer specialist tryed to do a software upadate. this didn,t work. he said the mother board had packed up. we then rang customer services to be told there wasn't any thing they could do has the warranty had expired. they would only offer us 25 % of the price to buy another product from them. the person who we spoke to wasn't very helpful. when we asked for head office number so we could complain he said he hadn't got that information. biggest load of crap. I wouldn't recommend anyone to buy this product. I have now contacted trading standards.

For the past hour, I have been calling numbers listed on my RMA receipt of item and those listed in the website including your corporate office. my story is a long one too, so i will make it short, charger port fell out of expensive tablet in the first week, took forever for then to replace, then the screen went out, another return and wait, then more problems, have been waiting over month and a half for this one!!! will never buy another one!!!!!!!!!!

My story is long .... I have had five, yes "FIVE" Archos tablets. First the Archos 70 250GB, which worked marginally ok, but lots of problems. They replaced it with the Archos 80, which was much worse. Had to return that too. I've had four (Yes, "4") Archos 80 units. All pieces of CRAP ... !!! I'm still waiting for an upgrade, which they told me I qualify for. Been about three months now (since September, 2013), and they still keep giving me the run around (they tell me they have forwarded my request to the Warehouse). They want to send me another Archos 80, but I told them "NO"! The refuse to give me a refund.

DO NOT buy Archos!!! I love my new Samsung Galaxy Note 3, totally AWESOME and reliable High Tech Phone/Tablet!!! Excellent Battery Power, Fast and Sold Internet connection, excellent Phone Service, and Great Tech Support!!!

I have a problem with my Archos 80 G9. I phoned their customer service number. It says they are closed and to call back during business hours. However, I have tried for several days during the hours that their website says they are open and I still get the recording that says they are closed.

I phoned their customer service number and the phone answers but then hangs up immediately.

Are they out of business? If not, they should be!

Terrible product, customer service, and company all around. I bought one of their tablets in may of 2013 and barely used it. I came home from work one day and my wife informed me that the lcd screen was messed up. I contact archos and they tell me that it's covered under warranty and to send P.O.P. and they would send me the shipping papers to send it in for repair. Sent it in for repair in August and waited. September came and I had to contact them to find out what was going on. The woman I spoke to, I believe her name was Yolanda, said that they would just issue me a refund on my purchase, I said ok and that was that. Then they proceeded to call me and say that they would not refund my money and that for $142 I could upgrade to the newer model or they would ship me back the damaged/defective piece of garbage and be done with it. I told them no, just issue me my refund that they said they would and Yolanda said we will not issue a refund so you have to pay to upgrade. I said no and I wanted to speak to someone above her. After a small wait she returned and said either take the upgrade or the broken tablet. When I said no I want a refund and asked for someone above her she hung up on me. This is not how you do business, and it's very unprofessional. Now I'm on hold with customer service waiting to speak with someone. I guess this is my punishment for purchasing something from a French company. I advise everyone to avoid this company and their products like the plague, otherwise you will end up with a useless paperweight.

Archos screwed me out of 2 tablets. Both were under warranty, the 7" and the 8" . 7" although they still sell them are being discontinued and so they will not fix them, instead they will give you $25.00 even though I paid $200. And the 8" they can't fix that either because they don't have parts. This company takes your money and doesn't give you a thing in return except broken products. Both tablets had the same problem, the plug in where you charge the tablet breaks. DON'T BUY ARCHOS, THEY WILL SCREW YOU OVER!

I agree with all the complaints, I got as far as getting a repair # with that number I had to fax POP (prove of purchaes) which I have TWICE then I emailed them once so far with my RMA #...absolutely no responce..My reason for repair is the usb port for charging the battery is broken..I don't think they really care, I am still under warrent with device so I guess they want it to run out..Also afer reading the complaints I am afraid to send it to them, I might not get it back..yes it was cheap, but money is money with me anyways.

please please do not buy any product from Archos ever they desrve to go out of business there after sales service if i could give a minus out of ten it would minus ten please go and but a amazon kindle after care service is the best the very best

I hate to join the club but I HATE this Archos 70b Internet Tablet. My son received it for Christmas and it worked about a month before it started acting crazy; freezing, will not allow us to download any apps and worst, I can't get the matter resolved. I have been on hold for hours with customer service and the fix they instant messaged me back did not work. Can I please throw this thing out of the window! So much for going for a cheaper version of the IPad; its not worth it; the time I've spent trying to make my son happy and fix this tablet has not been nearly as costly at the $400 on an older IPad. Shame on you Archos!!

Avoid Archos products like its te plague. Their products are cheaply made. I purchased a 101 g9 turbo tablet in Sept. 2012. It was broke by Dec. they have had my product since Dec.17. It is now February 28, 2013 and I still don't have my product. Every time I call it's another story. I will be taking them to small claims court. And will never purchase anything ever from them again.

Look out!
I had the same charging problem on G(. They sent a replacement unit which lasted for a few months. They have had the second unit for 6 weeks and no response. No answering of phones,no response on facebook chat.Next stop Better Business bureau.
They have a failing product and won't deal with it.

Long story short gave my daughter 7 in tablet for xmas the charging port broke before the nsw year they received their product 010513, we are still waiting for a replacement 6 wks later. My wife was given the same product for her birthday 11-09. That tablet experienced the same issue 11-26 was received by archos 12-4 and she received a replacement before xmas and the same issue occurred by xmas. Now archos has both tablet with no one being able to tell me when we will receive their replacements. STAY AWAY ARCHOS ARE PIECES OF JUNK. SAVE YOUR MONEY AND YOUR TIME.

Reading over the comments about the Archos, it is nothing but complaints. so i guess my comment will not made a different. I purchase my Archos in December of 2011 and only use it for 3 months. I could not find a number until October of 2012 so that i could return my archos only it to be Jan 2013 and I still do not have my tablet or a working one back. my next step is to go to small claims court. this is the worst product ever. customer service was no help every time i call get get a different answer. I am suppose to get my tablet by jan 16. after someone telling me i will get it Dec 1, Dec 10, and Dec 21. Guess what i still do not have my table that I paid 335. I am calling right I have been on hold for 15 min for them to contact the warehouse, now they are telling me that the tablet is not ready. after reviewing the site they do not have the table anymore instead of telling me they want to give me a cheaper one 20.00 is 20.00. I will never do business with this company again.

So far, I have had a bad experience with customer support. I was told to ship my tablet back for repairs since half of the screen had a red/pink tint to it. (Firmware upgrade did not work.) I received shipping confirmation that the product was received on 11/20, but Archos doesn't report it was received until 11/27. Companies get backed up, so I understand. The repair status website says it should take 10-15 days to have it repaired. That is reasonable, so I understand. So, after they had my tablet a month, I decided I had better contact someone. Their support page has a Facebook contact page and I send a message via that page with a "someone will contact you as soon as possible" message. People get busy, so I understand. Over a week goes by and no one has contacted me, yet. That I do not understand. It is now two days before Christmas and I doubt I will hear back from anyone anytime soon. Not sure whether to contact corporate or the Better Business Bureau at this point. I'm really just hoping I get my tablet back. Buyer beware.

A couple of problems, mostly very minor and one Google problem not so minor. Big problem with Google last, first the two minor problems, and by the way I am very happy with the 80 G9, I think it is the best value for money and I researched very hard before I purchased as this was also a trial for further purchases.
First I cant register my purchase with Archos it either says the purchase date is wrong or the serial number is wrong but both are correct, I have tried about 6 times. Without registration I cant access the online service on the Archos website.
The second problem is that the Tab automatically tried to update the firmware to ICS it's self a couple of days after I purchased the tab, I gues this was planned as the firmware upgrade was promised, I just expected it would notify me first.
The download just hung and after a couple of hours I gave up and did a reboot, the same happened again, I connected the tab to my comp and downloaded the firmware update and moved it to the tab memory, now ICS is working fine but every time I look at the apps page the update is running, I kill it with app killer but next time I turn on it is back and running, please let me know where to find the auto update app and which folder and what files I should delete to kill this app for good.
Now the big big problem and it is not the fault of Archos, but it has the potential to kill sales in favor of the new Windows Tab OS, for example I was planning to purchase further units for a client but I can't do that now because for security and the way the tablets were to be used the program and it's data had to be on the SD card, Google have disabled access to the SD card in honeycomb and ICS, they have rendered the SD card all but useless.
I didn't see any publicity about this major fact it is being kept very low profile, my fault I suppose because I do research before any purchase and I missed this one. I am not sure what I would have decided to purchase now, it certainly would not have been an 8GB I may have gone for the 16GB but then again I have lots of apps and data and backups on SD cards that now can't be used with Android ICS, backup applications can not work on ICS, this is a shot in the foot for Google and Android OS, the public will soon learn and I think there will be a big swing to Windows tablets, I for one can not use Android based system for work applications so I will have to purchase Windows based tablets for the time being.
As I said at the beginning I was very happy with the 80 G9 quality and I think Archos have the pitch just right, price build quality etc, I was very impressed and I have found a use for my 80 G9, my wife uses it a lot and I have some good apps running for use away from the home, but the fact I can't backup to SD or expand the memory with a SD card or run apps from the SD card makes me wary of just how much trust I should put in the tab.
I hope manufacturers will put pressure on Google to sort this out, if they don't then soon the Android OS will be a dead duck and if this is the lead-in to forcing tabs to use Cloud based media the public would not stand for that, also the organization I work with forbids their apps and data from Cloud computing altogether.

I have read so so many complaints. I got an Archos Tablet for an early Christmas in 11 from mom when I was back home. When I came home I began to have problems with it not powering on, we tried with on line help and finally I had to ship back and they sent me a new on a few weeks later same thing. In thinking I got a bad charger unit wall out let so they sent me a new one.. along with a free shipping label to mail the unit back on them if this did not work, ( It was not my unit just my charger faulty that came with it, that ruined two of them :(). I would not have to pay to ship it back to get another new one. So short story customer service is Great!! In my book I am not sure of many companies who work so hard with customers like this in this day and age anymore. I definitely will continue buying from them, with the satisfaction of service after sale I have gotten. That alone says a lot about a company in this day and time of economics.

Since almost 5 month I have my Arnova 7 tablet 8GB now. I can not connect to the internet. The help I try to get via mail or tel (I have to numbers one starts with 877.. the other in france with 01805..)I find nowwhere help - no respond or not available. The tablet is useless for me and if someone would ask I wouldnt recommend to by a tablet from your company. Worst service I ever get !! Marion Schulze

My screen on a new Archos 80 G9 froze up and I did not know how to re-set. Telephoned help line, who were extreeemly efficient, and corrected the fault in seconds
Hold the on/off button down for about 10 secs, the screen closes, wait a few seconds and restart as normal.
I was informed to download upgrade asap to clear the fault from further happening.
