I go to the Advance Auto on Broadway in Louisville Kentucky. The date was April 8th Thursday 2021. First I tell the lady what I need everything for oil change and an air filter for 2009 Toyota Corolla And the same for a 2016 Honda Civic. So as we're doing this she does she does not seem like she wants to be doing her job huffin and puffin being very short. She handed me a piece of paper with numbers wrote on it and tell me I had to go get and look for my oil filter and air filter myself the shelving was very unorganized and not in alphabetical or numerological order I couldn't find it so she had do looking for it and was not pleased. Ass I was ringing out she asked for my name and phone number as I tell her how to spell my last name she is purposely not punching the right buttons I'm standing here watching hard just push whatever buttons so I stopped her tell her that that's not how you spell it and I proceeded 2 spell it again she does the same thing again so I stopped her and she does it again. At this point I I was like oh well I'll just give her my phone number and all will be fine because I have been going here for years my phone number is in the computer system. And just to mention after I bought the stuff for the oil oil filter and air filter. I put the stuff in the car went back in and got things for detailing vehicles I spent well over $200. I get the parts home and get the Honda took hey Part and lo and behold wrong air filter for the car. Okay whatever I move forward I go to the Toyota Corolla drain the oil pull off the cap for the oil filter insert wrong oil filter insert. At this point it is nighttime so the next day after I get off work I go to the bag to get the receipt she never gave me a receipt for either of the purchases I made night night. No problem though because my name's in the system my phone number is in the system. so I take my parts back to the store and I just want to exchange them for the correct parts. As if this couldn't get any worse I go to exchange the product the worker there put my phone number in the system he says it shows nothing of you being here yesterday. The two workers including her acted like they didn't remember seeing me there. She knows damn good and well what she did I believe she gave me the wrong Parts on purpose just like she purposely entered my name and phone number incorrectly. I talked to corporate they said I would be getting a phone call from upper personnel so I can exchange my stuff never i got the phone call. I am in a multi racial relationship I feel like they did not approve of me and my significant other and our relationship you could feel it when we walked into the Advance Auto. With what is going on in the world today this is beyond unacceptable and for you Advance Auto to not get back with me and try to make this right is beyond unacceptable I have not took to social media I have not told everybody I can tell to not use your stores But today I believe I will and I will not stop until I feel everyone has heard and know how I was treated there. both of my cars are currently not properly maintained because of how I was treated at that store.

I was inside the Iowa City Advance Auto on Highway 1. Inside the parking lot every single day there is a man soliciting business and working on customer vehicles out of a van in the stores parking lot. Most days his entire butt crack is hanging out of his pants as he does it. Its extremely unprofessional and a huge liabilty for the business. I personally will never return to this location. I will take my business elsewhere.

Recently I've been to your central islip location however I have stopped going to it because I'm tired of smelling marijuana in the store. Employees are too high to function and when they do they messed up my order I refuse to go their and will shop at another location.

Recently I had a bad customer service with you Sandwich, Mass. storel It has been recorded with your office.. All I wanted to do is put brake pads on my truck. Your agent at this branch I feel was out of line. Now even after all this the brake pads now fit in the frame but cannot use vehicle with your pads because your pads are too thick that they kick out the rotor when you tighten the caliper. Still running on my old junk after two weeks of trying to fix this problem on what little time I have to work on vehicle. I have two sets of brake pads, one that do not fit and I cannot find receipt and the second set that got dirty while trying to put on vehicle which I have receipt. Problem? I believe your pads will fit with your rotors but not the ones in my vehicle which are thicker.Screwed. Now I have to buy new rotors? Mine are in great shape.

purchased a package of fuses not knowing if they were for my car... which had a non working radio... turns out i need different fuses ones in the glass.... i used one from home.... i then returned to the same store with a receipt for the new unopened item of fuses.... i was told they are not returnable.... i reminded them i asked that question only hours ago when i bought them and i was told to keep the receipt.... now a new person says they can not refund me at all..... i ask for store credit so i do not lose the 20 dollars i just spent...told no items for electric are returnable and i am told to read the sign on the side of the front door.... SO WARNING TO ALL AUTO PARTS BUYERS... this is the 3rd time i had trouble returning items... so far a battery that did not match my car... then an air conditioner booster can...which i did not have the gun to use.... and now this...three strikes you are out... i will warn people every day on facebook about the hell this store will put you through after buying their items.... GO TO AUTOZONE... I WILL FROM NOW ON

Unreal episode with you guys. I purchased a motorcycle battery from the wind gap pa store which I had to go online to find the part. Lady at the counter gave me the right battery but wrong terminals. No biggie go to broadheadsvillepa pa store to exchange. Upon arrival the lady there says " no returns on electronics" so I buy a cable to make it work anyways. Then to find out the battery is deffective its not taking a load and keeps dropping volts. Take it back next day to broadheadsville store only to get a crappy excuse that they can't do anything until its chatged and tested. Now I have to wait another day for them to charge it and 4 trips to get a simple battery. The people ive have been talking to were no help and crappy customer service. This is unacceptable in any line of business. I could not run my own business like this nor should advanced auto. I will be taking all my business elsewhere.

I have had TWO recent bad experiences with store # 5986 loacted at 2311 Salem Church Road in Fredericksburg, Virginia. The most recent one was I needed a small part and did my diligence locating the specific part on the Advance Auto website. I found the part which was noted as available in stock at the mentioned store. I printed out the part item and drove the six miles to the store. Two people were working the counter and both were with customers. I waited until one was free and the went to speak. I was informed that another customer was before me who was at the back of the store. No problem, I didn't want to cut in front of anyone so I apologized and waited. The counter person finished with the customer and I approaced the counter with my printed out paper and told him what I was looking for. He never bothered to look at the paper and simply pointed down the isle and said "down on the left". I went down the isle "on the left" and it was an item "assortment" and not at all what I wanted. In this five second period the clerk disappeared to the back area and I could hear boxes being "stacked" in the back. Not having found what I came in for I was forced to wait why the only other available clerk finished with his customer. When that clerk finished with his customer he asked what he could help me with and I showed him the paper. He did a little computer research and located my wanted item in the back room and not located on the sales floor. By the time the clerk finished my order inquiry and completed the sale finally the first clerk came out to the sales counter - a full ten plus minutes later. The second sales clerk was most helpful and is the ONLY reason I will consider ever going back to the store. If I am going to take my time to do the necessary research, print out the document and drive to your store you at least owe me the courtesy of looking at my documentation and being sure I have the necessary part in my hand before disappearing. Anything I can buy at your store I can purchase online and I will get it in a day or two with certainty that I will get what I researched. I do not have the clerks name but the helpful one was a younger person who appeared to be of Hispanic descent and the unhelpful rude one was a very large black man who I presumed may have been the acting manager. I use these descriptions simply because I don't know their names. The approximate time of the transaction was around 11:00AM (before noon) and the transaction date was 7/29/2019. Shame for your lack of consideration.

At or about one month ago I contacted the customer service for advanced Auto on Paxton street in Harrisburg PA, regarding a racist incident that I was a victim of ,a few days later I received an email asking in regards to what occurred,since then I have heard nothing back from anyone .I am not satisfied with how I was treated and am taking a step to go around the management in this particular establishment ,I would like to be contacted and would like a receipt of my correspondence.

Well I was on my way to Columbia KY to get a bike for my bosses son and oil and filter for my brother and I for our vehicles at Advanced Auto and the guy went out to see what size motor I had and lifted my hood to check the size of my engine and bent the hood latch when he was putting the hood back down and it didn't want to stay down after he said he bent the latch and kept trying to get hood to latch after bending it. I said it's not going to fly up is it while I'm driving it.... This what happen while I was driving to Walmart on the Pkwy getting to Walmart total my hood, broke front wind shield, broke side driver rear view mirror, total my driver side fender..... I'm still piss about it but I'm so glad I'm alive. Thank you Jesus

I'm from new braunfels tx and I had a very bad experience in there store bough a part 4 minute later took it bad I bough the wrong part could not get a refund cause it was electrical part but the counter person didn't tell me that manager was not in talk to the person that was in charge he raced he's voice in a bad way said I can't do anything for and threw the part and recited on the counter and said you need to leave very bad experience y'all need do something about y'all just lost customer not a big deal it was just a 20.00 part but it was just the experience that person treated me like.

Need to train masontowm store better be I called to check price. On hlf shaft for my 03explorer and was told it cost 400.00 this is why your store in masontowm is going to crap the employees name is Tim no Tix your staff no I called the uniontowtn store and was told it was 77.00

Poor service at the palmetto FL location. 7:40 the store was still not open and it's supposed to open at 7:30. Also the employee parked in the closest spot to the door, very unprofessional.

10/23/18: Today I purchased an alternator on line for a friend. Your store manager @ 4901 Gulfport in Gulfport, FL was EXTREMELY rude to myself, a paying customer, & my friend. We both needed help from this store manager to complete a transaction. He was NOT helpful. His rude, disrespectful, snide comments were NOT appreciated!! I live in LA & trying to purchase the correct part for a friend in need in FL. Web site was being difficult as well as store manager. His attitude toward myself & friend were uncalled for. I hope Advance Auto Parts takes my complaint seriously & directly addresses this store manager's awful interaction with customers. Thank you,

Good morning,
I would love to continue spending money in your store in palmetto Florida. I have been there three times this week and can't find a spot to park. I don't understand why one of your employees needs to park in a way that he takes up three spots. It always seems to be the same green truck. It's just a truck park normally so customers can get in and out.

Very Poor service from Advance Auto parts company. Ordered on line for my parts, which I specified to be sent to my residence. One part sent to my home and the other sent to a parts store 220 miles away and when I called the store I was placed on hold and when I wouldn't hang up a different associate picked up and gave me a hard time about my order and refused to send it to me which I had paid for with my credit card. If you won't honor the original order in full which it was made, then I will send back the partial order that was sent to my house and the store Advance Auto Parts Store 7037, after I called them they canceled the gasket set.

Im 45 years old, been buying parts commercially from you for 25 years, in umatilla fl. I, nor any member of my family will ever purchase parts again from advance. We have spent a very large sum over the years as a commercial customer. To my reason. The waterpump went out on my dodge diesel pickup, in leesburg florida. Stopped in local store just off main street, was supposed to be commercial store. Purchased water pump, and i have a carquest lifetime warrenty serpentine belt that the older gentleman would not honor, told me i had to go to store of purchase to exchange the belt. What is the point in guaranteeing a part if your stores will not honor them. Im sorry customer service doesnt matter in the big box auto parts world, but in my business it still does. I cant have a relationship with a business that doesnt have my back.

To whom it may concern, my name is David Munchinski recently(sunday)purchased an alternator from your store in.i placed my order online, then picked it up shortly thereafter..i brought my core with me...i was charged 132.00 for alternator and core. I had an online coupon for 20% off....the price for alternator ended up at 91.00 and change...my card notified me i would be reciecing 58.00 credit for the core charge..so my final price for the alternator was 77 dollars...my order was for a 2000 toyota 4 runner 3.4l v-6....the employee gave me the wrong alternator!! Even though i had the core there and it looked different, he said not all manufacturers look exactly alike...i took it home teied to install it, and it didnt fit...when i went to return it, the manager informed me that the alternator i was given was less expensive than the proper alternator and i owed them 40 more dollars!.. So, even though i filled everything out on the online ordering properly, i had an alternatorin which i was happy with the price, and already paid for, this employee charged me another 40 dollars, because the other employee gave me the wrong alternator!!!! A Month or so ago the same exact thing happened when i ordered brake pads and rotors...i bought one thing off line, i was given the wrong part, then im told that the stores do not honor the online prices!!!! I have been a loyal customer for over 15 years..honestly, im disgusted with advanced autos customer service, and the total lack of continuity between the online ordering and in store purchases,on top of everything, your store manager would not allow me to return the alternator (which was installed for a total of literally 10 minutes..the alternator was never my problem it was a loose wire!) I just wanted my core back,as it wasnt the problem after all....everything all said and done, i spent 132 dollars initially on my card, i am supposed to get a credit for 55 , then i had to give another 40 just to recieve what they should have given me in the first place!! I thought the first time this happened was a fluke, but obviously not, advanced auto and their unprofessionalisn has lost a customer for life!! And i am going to also completely blast advanced auto parts on facebook, advanced auto will loose many thousands of dollars from lost sales all because of sub par customer service and poor personnel...i dont see why i should have to pay for one of your employees mistakes, and this has followed a pattern...this needs remedied.. so many times you get horrible complaints i want to make it be known that i was at the Carnegie store in Pittsburgh, Pa. yesterday to replace batteries in my garage door opener A young man David was amazing he was on the phone multi tasking with questions from other employees and helping me Hes amazing and kind and very knowledgeable. Never been so pleased with any customer service like he gave me.

Just broke my windshield to my Honda last night ... I bought windshield wipers at Advance Auto in Aliquippa .. the manager said to keep my wiper blades from freezing to the windshield to leave them up off the windshield and just put them back down before I go anywhere in the vehicle .. just had them put on new wipers the other day .. I did as the manager, I believe Paul was his name, said to do and I woke up this am and my windshield was shattered. I just had to buy a new windshield and the man replacing my windshield asked why I would ever leave my wipers up off my glass ? I told them what the manager at the Advance store had said to do to keep my new wipers from freezing to the glass n he said that was the most idiotic thing a parts store manager could have said but that the manager would defiantly be good at keeping him in business replacing windshields . I want to know who to contact and if I can get reimbursed for the windshield. I have witnesses that heard him telling me to leave the wipers up off the glass at night or during the snow or ice freezing them down . So please contact me on who to speak w so I may get reimbursed from or if I have to go to small claims court for the issue. Thank u

I went to the Advance Auto in Aliquippa, PA. I would recommend anyone that shops there not to discuss anything auto related to their general manager, Paul. He has no knowledge of any vehicle operations and told me I had an issue w my alternator, after I had the battery diagnosed by my mechanic and even had the Advance Auto use their own equipment and the battery was shown to be a bad battery. He told me that he would bet my pay check that my alternator was the problem and was completely rude to me- my mechanic said there was no way for them to even test the alternator in my vehicle because the battery would not hold a charge to get a reading -The employee that tested the battery said they couldn't check the alternator because there's no charge to my battery I had to keep jumping to even get to the store- the main problem was he was trying to find a way out of honoring my warranty for my battery which I had a 3 year warranty - and I only had the battery for a year and had all the issues and towing expenses because of the battery - so dealing w a mouthy general manager that says he would bet he paycheck my alternator was bad and after my mechanic shop and their own employee said the same as my shop after testing my battery I would recommend to anyone that has to shop there to make sure to have anyone but Paul the general manager wait on u and help u w ur vehicles -

Hi My name is Mark A Bradley and I live at 1646 Airport Drive in Mechanicsburg, PA 17050. First things first. I am 62 years old and have been a loyal customer to Advance Auto all of my life. You can pull up my information as proof. You will see the amount of money I have spent on parts and have Never had a problem until last night. My car battery went bad and I visited one of your stores in Enola PA. Store 511 North Enola Road 17025. The salesman name was Derek W. I purchased a Btry-plat AGM Atoc 10310832 34 AGM for $ 171.99. I measured the battery in my car and got the new battery and took it home. I told the salesman Derek that I would install the battery due to the weather was below freezing and although the store stated they will install the new battery per police I had a garage and felt pity on the salesman getting frozen installing it. This can all be verified by the salesman if called. After removing the battery from the car I noticed the neg and pos posts were on the wrong side of the battery so I quickly returned the battery within 10 minutes. Also verified by the salesman. The posts still had the plastic covering on it that were not removed. I asked for the battery to be replaced with the same battery with the posts on the correct side and was refused. Derek stated once I left the store the battery could not be replaced. I all but begged and was refused. I was told by Derek that I needed to purchase another battery for $ 171. 99 and basically eat the old battery. I mentioned it was my fault that the battery was purchased with the posts on the wrong side however it was literally 10 minutes and the battery was not installed in the car. He told me this transaction was final and although it was only 10 min it did not matter. The attitude began at this point. He told me I made the mistake and that was the end. I politely asked another man behind the coulter to help me and he stated he had to listen to the manager Derik. I asked Derek to look at the battery and he walked away from me. I had to replace the wires from the battery to the starter and also the ground wire which was expensive and time consuming in 10 degree weather for at least an hour. I was told that one of the servicemen behind the counter just had to work outside in the cold and if he could do this so could I. This can be verified with a call to the store.

Now, being a professional in a hospital and dealing with people , I would have never done this to anyone. Derik was ignorant and did not care if I made a mistake at all getting the wrong battery. He stated this is policy and walked away and waited on other customers. I cannot believe this manager acted the way he did to a customer. That is a lot of money and to state You just need to purchase a another battery for all but 200.00 is totally ridiculous. I do understand police however to also state it cannot be exchanged for the correct battery and I can call corporate if I chose to was point blank ignorant. So the job was completed and it does work so now this is completed. I just wanted to allow you at corporate to understand this transaction and hopefully it makes it to someone that will actually care for a customer. I hope this letter is read by someone in charge an this does not happen to others.

I purchased a fuel injector/spider for my 2000 Chevrolet k 2500 4x4 cost me 300 and some change it has a 5 yr warranty but win I tryed to get it warranted Advance Auto Parts Has no record of me my phone number or any sale of this item told me I had to have a recite this is BS every one knows the recites fade away and you can't read them that is why you ask for my information phone name and put in computer but come to find out you erase info after 6 moths this is a crime and I am pissed I went on face book asking every one who has had this problem to respond tell me there nightmare with ADVACE AUTO PARTS AND TO BOYCOTT YOUR LIEING NO GOOD CHEATING ASSES I PAYED EXYRA DO THIS WARRANTY AND GOT ROBBED AND DON'T LIKE IT ONE BIT 300 IS NO CHUMP CHANGE AND IF THIS IS HOW YOU ARE GOING TO OPETATE I HOP THE BOYCOTT TAKES YOU DOWN LIKE THE NFL ,PISSED OFF IN TEXAS

No free battery installs in CALIFORNIA. There website states "Free automotive battery testing and recycling. Plus, free installation on most batteries with purchase. "

So I buy 2 batteries.. When I get to the store, they say.. "Sorry we dont do installs". Not in California.

Ohhh OK thanks, if you could mention that on your website, we folks in California would appreciate you not wasting our time.
