I have had TWO recent bad experiences with store # 5986 loacted at 2311 Salem Church Road in Fredericksburg, Virginia. The most recent one was I needed a small part and did my diligence locating the specific part on the Advance Auto website. I found the part which was noted as available in stock at the mentioned store. I printed out the part item and drove the six miles to the store. Two people were working the counter and both were with customers. I waited until one was free and the went to speak. I was informed that another customer was before me who was at the back of the store. No problem, I didn't want to cut in front of anyone so I apologized and waited. The counter person finished with the customer and I approaced the counter with my printed out paper and told him what I was looking for. He never bothered to look at the paper and simply pointed down the isle and said "down on the left". I went down the isle "on the left" and it was an item "assortment" and not at all what I wanted. In this five second period the clerk disappeared to the back area and I could hear boxes being "stacked" in the back. Not having found what I came in for I was forced to wait why the only other available clerk finished with his customer. When that clerk finished with his customer he asked what he could help me with and I showed him the paper. He did a little computer research and located my wanted item in the back room and not located on the sales floor. By the time the clerk finished my order inquiry and completed the sale finally the first clerk came out to the sales counter - a full ten plus minutes later. The second sales clerk was most helpful and is the ONLY reason I will consider ever going back to the store. If I am going to take my time to do the necessary research, print out the document and drive to your store you at least owe me the courtesy of looking at my documentation and being sure I have the necessary part in my hand before disappearing. Anything I can buy at your store I can purchase online and I will get it in a day or two with certainty that I will get what I researched. I do not have the clerks name but the helpful one was a younger person who appeared to be of Hispanic descent and the unhelpful rude one was a very large black man who I presumed may have been the acting manager. I use these descriptions simply because I don't know their names. The approximate time of the transaction was around 11:00AM (before noon) and the transaction date was 7/29/2019. Shame for your lack of consideration.
