After going through the main service 3 times (first time hung up on, second time after talking to an operator who was going to refer me to laptop assistance I ended up on the main menu again) I finally reached someone who would help...problem was that on its first use the DVD player on my new laptop kept beeping at me and would not open to release the DVD. It was very difficult to understand the person who was trying to help. His English skills were not great to say the least and his pronunciation of words was very difficult to understand. He also misused words but expected me to understand what he was saying. About half way through a difficult process, he tried to sell me an extended package. I told him that after all the trouble I had getting help this time, I was not inclined to purchase further tech assistance from them. When I said I would think about it, his whole tone changed as did his willingness to help. I hate it when companies outsource its services to non-English literate countries. It took me almost 90 minutes with what should have been a 15 min call. My time is worth money just as the companies time is. I will likely not buy another HP laptop- its not worth the hassle.
