I purchased a game on developed by Ubisoft which is operated through Steam. When deciding to purchase the game, as I already had a Steam account, I utilized their minimum requirements information to make sure I could play the game. When I received the game, I downloaded it and attempted to play it. Every time I pulled up the game, it would crash my computer. After a few tries, it completely destroyed my video card. Thinking the video card was the issue, I got it replaced and tried the game again - more crashes. Eventually (months later) I discovered that the minimum requirement information on Steam was not correctly listed - Ubisoft had different information for the CPU and I did not have the minimum required. I attempted to contact Steam to request a refund and was told they did not offer support for the game and I had to contact Ubisoft. After contacting Ubisoft on the matter they told me I had to go back to the store it was purchased from to request a refund. The refund policy for the store on this game expired before I could discover the issue. The game is non-transferable because of the Steam interface, and I am stuck with an expensive game I cannot play because these two companies don't want to take responsibility for their error.
