I , Anne H. mac Lean was extremely upset and disappointed with my recent experience on your airlines flight 141 from Abu Dhabi to Halifax Nova Scotia on April 5 th 2014 hrs . My flight was supposed to leave Abu Dhabi on April 5th at 1025 hrs , This flight was previously booked with your airlines on January 8th 2014. I had a connecting flight in toronto to halifax N.S. on that same day. We were told in Abu Dhabi the morning of April 5th that our flight was going to be delayed by one hour and now we would be leaving at 11.28 hrs instead of 10.25hrs. I previously had given myself 2 hours and 20 minutes to make my connecting flight in toronto when i had arrived there. Our plane instead of leaving Abu Dhabi at 10.25hrs left at 12.40hrs. When I arrived in Toronto my connecting flight to Halifax had already left and I was informed by a member of your airlines that there were No other flights to Halifax that nite. with Air canada. I was extremely upset because we live in a rural area of Cape Breton which is a 4 hour drive to Halifax airport. My husband had driven the 4 hours in a wind and rain event and was presently waiting for me at Halifax airport . He was very upset to learn that my connecting flight was cancelled on me and that I would be staying in Toronto for the nite. We had not made any extra arrangements for our pets and therefore he had to drive back 4 hrs late at nite still in the wind and rain event only to face driving the 4 hours again very early the next day and making further arrangements for our pets. I feel this put both of us at a terrible inconvience and was actually a risk for his life. People book flights for their convience and their time and enjoyment.. As stated earlier I booked my flight in January. your airlines took it upon themselves to change my flight at at real inconvience to me. Sure they gave me a room already booked at the Sherraton at their expense and I do thank you for that.The two meal vouchers given to me also were not enough to cover a meal with a drink so I did not use either of them. Futhermore, the boarding pass for my flight the next day given to me by your airlines which you put me in business class was not paid for buisness class and Air Canada would not honour it so I got bumbed back to economy. Was just another slap in the face for me. I probably will NOT recommend your airlines to anyone or use it myself again since it is sooooooo easy for you just to change everyones plans to suit your own.
