I cannot wait until open season comes around again. My son has been using brand medication for his epilepsy for the past 12 years and now they want to change it to generic. After 2 appeals AETNA decided that he could continue with the brand medication. The problem is that they did not update their system so everytime the store puts the prescription through it is declined. His neurologist office continues to call the pharmacy pre-cert department and they continue to tell her that his account needs updating, when I call to find out what kind of update is required the AETNA representative doesn't see that anything needs updating. This is ridiculous, Aetna is paid every two weeks without fail through payroll deduction. I am ready to go to the media with this.
