Ob 9/27/12 my PC was infected with the FBI virus/scam...it said my PC was shut down because I violated a federal law and I would have to pay $200. So I called Norton whom I have for my internet security. I was asked to shut off my PC then hit f8...then put pc in safe mode with networking,then log on etc.
The tech told me I was hacked showed me all the viruses I had in red, said I had over 4,000...what I'm I paying Norton for, he said we only handle viruses but I can put you in contact with Itechline and they can get rid of this for you...said don't worry. Well 179.99 and 30 min. later the FBI scam was gone. Itechine tech told me they would monitor my PC for 3 months & he installed a firewall"so it will never happen again." Well two days later it happened again, called Itechline again...now this is after I looked on line saw all kinds of complaints about the way this company does business and also found out the the FBI scam is a virus affecting PC around the world. So Norton tech lied, Itechline tech lied. PC is running now, but I hold my breath every time I turn it on. Called my cc co. to disput the charge. Going with another internet secutity provider. WATCH OUT FOR THESE TWO!!!!!

on the Norton.com store website I paid $79.99 for Norton 360 for 3 computers. On My Norton account page it shows it is $59.99 for the exact same software. I feel I was overcharged. Thank you for any help you can give me.

I have Norton Internet Security 2012. I am NOT protected. I have called the technicians 4 times (I've been on hold with them almost an hour at this time). I have been trying to get rid of the Babylon Toolbar. Each time the technician assured me that it's gone. It is not gone. In fact, in my Sybot S&D search an added infection has been added (Double Click). Yet the Norton Security states that my computer is secure. It obviously is not secure. If nothing can be done to correct this situation, I would like a refund for the "security" along with the technical services, that have not worked.

Virus got past my 360 and trashed two of my computers, call Norton and was told they could not help. So I paid $279 to have one cleaned up. 2nd computer could not be saved and had to be put down. When I called to have 360 reinstalled I was told by suppervisor Alisha Mandi that I would have to pay to have it reinstalled the proper way. When I said I did not think I should have to pay so I could continue using the service I have already paid for she transfered me to a tech that according to her would not do as good a job. This is not the way to treat a long time customer.

Was charged $69.99 after fully telling tech what was wrong with computer. Was assured
it would be all fixed. Today far worse. They lied then and again today after hours on phone. Want refund. That is all. No more contact with that dept.This is dishonest. I already had this service.
They say anything to make a sale.Please answer.

I had a problem with my computer this evening and so I called customer service which I felt would be a paain. It was NOT. I dealt with Venkat Ramana Devarinti and he was quick, very thoural, and a joy to watch. He was reasuring and you are lucky to have that kind of quality for a tecnition. I am lucky to have Norton who has a tech who does a great job.

I called text support for simple question:after I installed the Internet Sec. the computer did not want to restart. Do I have to reboot it? I was afraid the installations would be void if I rebooted. The technician started to give me a lecture about reboot with the manner that uncalled for.He insisted that I followed his instructions.The computer was rebooted. We went to the logmein.com and he asked me to put my password (password to log on my comp). I refused to do that that he will be able to see my password,but he insisted that he had to see my comp.Finally I gave up.He was able to see my comp and told me that I had hundreds of viruses while he was showing me so quickly. I told him that Norton Utilities had cleaned up before. He said I had to buy more protections to protect my comp or I had to buy new comp because everything would be wiped out by the viruses and because I had Norton, he would be able to do it right now. He said I had to do it now or I would not be able to use the comp again. I asked him how much, he said $139 to $399. When I asked, he said he called from overseas, but when he called me back the number is from Palmdale area.
Right away I shut my comp and he screamed at me that I should not shut it off.He called me back on my phone three times. He was actually harassing me.I hope, he did not do anything to damage my comp. Why Norton hires this kind of person and practicing bad business is beyond my comprehension. Shame on you Norton. This is the worst experience in my life. I hope he did not get my personal informations and damage my computer.I will be more careful next time.
Also,I hope others can benefit from my experience and can prevent happening to them.

On May 2011 my anti-virus contract for my computer expired,and your company reminded me at respect.I renewed my contract and receved the order confirmation # NPI/12454766.I paid my fee with my AMEX credit Card and same shows collected by your company on 6/3/2011.

I have not received your anti-virus protection service to date.I have yried to contact you many times by internet,E-Mail,and even certified mailed without success.

I have recently renewed my subscription order no NP213125101 on 27th April 2012 by direct debit, and although you have accredited me with 12 months subscription,the fee deduction of £24 99 has not yet been withdrawn from my account. You have advised me to check my account. Just taking your advice.

I have notified Norton Symantec several times about E-Mails from Norton Symantec about Norton 360. I keep getting messages that my 360 has expired. I purchased a new 360 from Staples here in California. I even had to ask for help to install the new program because the instructions in the packaging did not mention anything about having to delete the old progam before installing the new. I thought that it was all o.k., but now I'm receiving these messages that as of March 21 2012 my Norton 360 has expired. I have tried calling several phone numbers on this matter and got through to, I beleive India. The person that I spoke to then stated that he would take care of the situation, but I am receiving these messages again. I have been on hold now at phone # 1(800)745-6054 for 58 minutes and am tired of this nonsense. If Norton has deleted my new 360 program from my computure someone is in big trouble and this incident will be reported. I can't beleive that there are so many people before me. It is now 4:45 which means that my initial call came in before 3:45. I expect an E-mail from Norton Symantec within 24 hours and if I don't the consumer protection agency here will be notified and I expect a class action lawsuit will follow. Your customer service is terrible.

Recieved e-mail saying my coverege had expired .Had nenewed my coverage 2 months ago my screen says i have 346 days of coverege remaining.Called the 888 number for help what a mistake .Worst expereience i have ever had could not understand the man from India finally hung up without having an answer to my problem.Will look for other protection.SAD SAD EXPERIENCE.

Symantec's customer service is awesome. Due to computer problems I wanted to restore my system using Norton Ghost 12. Not only did Symantec provide remote computer technical support and run the backup, the service was done on a weekend and at no charge. Needless to say I am very pleased that Symantec values the customer relationship and provided support for a legacy product.

I called Norton for support and i had errors .
I spoke to a guy from India and the support agent was awesome .
And its the best service that we can get from the technology.
Indians are the knowledgeable people .
And posting about India is unfair.
If you all feel that we dont understand English then its not our mistake .
Its your mistake that you have to learn English.
Indians are the only people who speak different languages.

I spent 7 hours with Symantec 3-18-2012 and was charged $160.00 when all I wanted was to know why they were telling me it was time to renew when I knew I had 7 months left.

Upshot of the thing was they told me my computer had been hacked and that was the $160.00 charge to clean it up. Then tried to install a program that was not compatiblble with my computer. 90 days FREE.

Spent all the next day 8 more hours trying to fix it. I kept telling them I only want my anti virus back. Finally after 7 hours Sunday and 8 hours today I have my ANTI VIRUS BAck and control of my mouse and maybe
I am back where I should be. But out $160.00 that I am going to fight.

What they tried to give me free was not compatable with my 2 year old computer.

I have been on the phone for 3 hours tryinbg to reach someone in the US to renew my Noeton program!! It is unacceptable not to have a telephone listed for this purpose - tech support is not what I want - I need RENEWALS! I can't speak to India, the Phillipines, Taiwan, Formosa or anyone outside the US!! What kind of company are you?? Your people do not understnd English, are rude and unknowledgeable or deliberately obtuse~! In the interim, I will have no virus prortection!! I tried twice to do it online and both times, it was not taken - O dpo not know my screen name or password and you have no means to retreive them!! M # is 561-302-3230. i was upset about my computer that it was slow and freezes very often . i had norton from the past 5 years i got in touch with the norton guys and they fixed my computer now i am satisfied that i had norton if you have any problems call them at 1 877 593 7086.

this is totally wrong,(stupid).yall charged me $85.59 with out permission, for something i did not want,causing my bank account to go overdrawn,another $28.00,and now want me to pay $58 more for an answer? pay it with WHAt!? somebody needs to be paying me some money back.

I have waited about 5 hours with customer service (Tina started and then I was sent to someone else). When I try to get to my server (embarqmail.com) to get my e-mails, I get this message and don't know what to do. I have not unhooked anything.
"There was a problem accessing this resource, please make sure you are logged in to the portal."

I recently attempted to install an extension to my subscription. First of all it would install. After one and a half hours I spoke to a technician who installed the product for me (supposedly). When my original subscription my protection was cut off and, whilst I did get it continued, I now have a virus. 65 minutes on hold last night, then 15 more minutes while the supervisor was contacted, then I was told a senior manager would contact me immediately. That was approximately 12 hours and I am now on hold again - so far 15 minutes. These people should not be allowed such useless product and maybe it would help if their representatives understood and spoke the English. An attitude adjustment might help.

we pay 100 dollars a year ,get no protection no updates just pop ups to pay more for more protections against cookies and viruses,cant contact anybody at norton or symantec!Useless protection for a lot of money.Do not use this company

I was trying to renew my Norton 360 antivirus software and the process was extremely difficult, and wouldn't allow me to easily include multiple PCs, a supposed selling point for Symantec's Norton 360. Ultimately, I had to "repurchase" the same multiple-PC licensed software to get my wife's PC covered, and now we have three (3) charges on the credit card statement. Oh, by the way, these "forced" me into purchasing some ridiculous, yet small extra charge, for keeping the software current. I'm not sure I'll be with Symantec next year!

I PURCHASED THE LASTEST 360 /5,AND IT ALSO HAD A FIXING TOOLS THE POWER ERASER IS ONE OF THEM; THAT WAS WORTHLESS. IT FOUND PROBLEMS AND COULD NOT FIX. IF YOU WANTED IT FIXED; CALL SUPPORT,AND THE TECH WILL FIXIT FOR A FEE. THIS FEE CAN BE ANYWHERE FROM $99-199 DEPENDING ON .THE TECH SERVICING YOU??I THINK IT'S A COMPLETE SCAM & A RIPOFF!THESE INDIA TECHS ARE DIFFICULT TO UNDERSTAND WHAT THEY ARE SAYING AND CAN WE TRUST THEM WITH OUR CREDIT CARD INFO??. I THINK NORTON SYMANTEC BETTER RE THINK USING FOREIGN TECHS AND BRING THOSE JOBS BACK HERE IN THE U.S.A. I to purchased Norton Security! My laptop came up with a virus and the Windows Vista security kept popping up saying I had 29 virus'/trogans etc...I called the Norton phone line and it directed me to someone in another country, Iyogi was the name and they said because I had clicked on something (which I didn't) that my system needed to be cleaned for a fee of 169.00 why? I paid for a subscription with Norton to prevent this in the first place. I was unable to use my system, Vista just kept popping up with info on the threats, it wouldn't let me connect to the Internet, kept saying warning, warning etc...What the heck is Norton for, I will be filling a complaint with BBB over this, I expect my money to be refunded in full. This is crazy!
