Hi is there any American people that work for MoneyGram most of these international people can't speak correct English and I having trouble understanding them they need to go back and speak correct English
Read the reviews below to see the experience other people have had when dealing with customer service from MoneyGram.
After 1 attempt to login on May 27, the message said I was locked out for too many failed attempts, I tried again thinking that couldn't be right, If correct, that tells me someone else tried to get in. The questions the CSA asked me to verify who I am were ridiculous. People from my past, bogus addresses and people....things you can find from people search on the internet. Instead of things like my current address or last 4 of the card I used on the acct, who I've been sending money too etc. after all the dumb questions, I was told I didn't pass the system security questions so I would have to go to a location to do do a transaction. Nearest one to me is 80 miles away! That's why I appreciated doing transactions online. Appears to me that instead of helping me, a customer with an account to get back into the account, they made it impossible by asking questions about people or places over 20 years ago. I can't even open a new account. My only option now is to use Western Union again. So, helping customers or making things easier for customers isn't money grams priority. Not 1 concern that some else may have tried to get in my account.
I will never use Moneygram ever again!!! I tried to send money to a relative and they said it was unavailable for her to receive it. So I called Moneygram and I was on hold for over 2 hours and no one ever came to the phone. The customer service at Wal-Mart called too and was on hold for a long time. Moneygram never picked up the phone for Wal-Mart customer service either. I left my number for them to call me back and they called back an hour later after I hung up the phone. Once I talked with a representative I asked for a refund on my money.
I still havent get the money that was being sent to me. Wheneer I go to moneygram outlet they always said that they are not the authorized agents to pay out the cash because they is an exact location to where should I get it but the problem is I've been to places you gave to my sender. But they answer the same. This is the frst time I encounter this kind of service in moneygrm.
I received a call on Sunday from an old friend who was in desperate need of some money for a room for the night and food. This person was standing on the street, had been sleeping outside for four days and had not eaten. He told me that I could send the money quickly, without leaving my home, using MoneyGram. It was my husband's birthday, we had family at our home, etc., however, I stopped and went through the process to send the money. All the information was entered correctly, my credit card information and I answered many personal questions. (I was quite surprised at some of the questions and wonder where in the world they get this information about you and your family). I quickly received an e-mail stating there was some kind of security issue and I would have to go to a store to handle the transaction. I called and spoke with a representative and then their supposed supervisor and was told, over and over again, that "my account" was closed and they could not give me any information. I kind of lost it because if there was some issue, which there was absolutely no reason there should have been, why wasn't there someone who could tell me what it was. I called back and spoke with two additional people (all very polite, but some difficult to understand, and all they could do was give me the same old line like a robot). I asked if they could give me the name or number where I could contact someone by phone or e-mail to try to find out why the transaction was denied, but they said there was nothing they could tell me. Talk about angry! I had to leave home and go to my nearest Walmart to send the money since the person had walked four miles to their Walmart to get the money. I did not send it through MoneyGram when I got there. Why would I after I received such terrible service. Don't bother using them. More trouble than it is worth!
I am still unable to resolve anything with this company. Their representatives are ruse and disrespectful.I had a family member send me money.when I piced it up I was given a money order. This money order is uncashable. Nobody will honer the check including money gram itself. They don't honer their own money order. Their reps. have sent me on a wild goose chase.I literally have been to every check cashing place in my town. Nobody affiliated with this company has a bit of integrity. They just keep rudely passing you off. What is worse than having my money blatantly stolen is the bad attitude of the company reps. Does anyone in this company have an ounce of respect for its customers. I was charged a fee for a service that so far they refuse to provide. I have an honest good check. I have been very understanding. My patients are at the end. I can only hope from this point other honest people decide not to do business with them. Do yourself a favor and use western union. This really has been without exception the worst experience I have ever encountered. So disreputable they don't even honer their own check.Their associates blatantly lied to me numerous times. I am sorry that I ever thought that I would be treated fairly.I am amazed that this type of thing can exist in this country .worst of all is they are fraudulent to the most needy of our society. This is a scam and ripped off.I will not get my money because they refuse to resolve it. Please beware of what I have experienced as the worst company in America.
I had many bad experiences with Western Union and thought I'd switch to MoneyGram. I can see from the start, their customer Service is a hot mess. Call centers in the Philippines do not understand that in the U.S. we have a saying, "The customer is always right". They take your money, make it impossible for you to contact them and then you wait and pray only to be denied. How do these companies stay in business? I can't wait to see these monopolies toppled with reputable American run companies.
Due to the amount of Thr transaction that was accepted. Money ram is holding my money...
To this time I have spent over 2 hours on hold..
So have the mommy gram retail clerks at the outlet
This is disgusting customer service . ... If they cannot send my damn money just return it and I will wire it.
I will never ever use money gram again. They assume to much , and Believe quoting you tell them to co firm your reason Accor sending v money to family in countries they Re watching ..my nephew was beaten and robbed and beaten in Lagos Nigeria. All his identity Papers, passport Visa. ... Without a Passport you. Can not receive Moneygram in a foreign country. Sone asked one of his employees tif he would pick up his money with him .......so immediately I was being scammed... They would. Or listen to any reason,....they are idiots.. It was. My money.. I can understand a warning regarding scammers.
It
Money gram would have lost nothing.
The music is nice but it would be nicer if a person would come to the phone.
I am trying to complain about customer service and this doesn't help. I an already 5 minutes on the phone and nothing.
XCPS420030 this is my ticket number if anyone wants to actualy provide cusomer service. A very bad experience indeed and will tell everyone who wants to know.
I installed Moneygram app, and tried to register an account. Moneygram gave me a security code so as to complete registration. However there wasn't an easy way to go back in and type in the code. Calling Moneygram was completely useless and a waste of time. Of course, I will uninstall the app, and gladly pay the extra dollars charged by Western Union if that guarantees a smoother process. I will also inform as many potential clients via the various social media outlets, how inept Moneygram is technologically or maybe it's access to customer service that is the problem!
Do not use this service. It took 50 minutes to send 35$ in state! Was told by moneygram when I called after forty five minutes just to really another half hour and it might be on there!!!? Etc. Called back to speak to representative who could barely speak English and they finally gave me the confirmation number. But then refused to transfer me to a supervisor to register a complaint. Horrible customer service! Use WESTERN UNION!!!!
Let me start by saying-AVOID WALMART MONEYGRAM if at all possible. This comment is related to their refund process. The customer service representative named Raver although he did not have a notable attitude; he's extremely redundant. I called to request refund/reissue due to money order being lost/misplaced by recipient (Property manager). After explaining my situation he insisted upon asking what day did I mail it out...mail time takes up to 2 weeks to be received etc. continued by asking if I had submitted a claim form, did I purchase online or in the store etc. Mind you I provided this information in the BEGINNING of the conversation, as well as, through out. Growing with frustration I asked why ask redundant questions or questions I've provided answers to or clarified throughout this call?? he then informs me that 1) Walmart cannot place stop payment or hold on moneygram (but he asked me if there was a hold on it at the start of our call) 2) it would take 30-45 DAYS to process the request if not cashed (but it only took them 5-7 minutes to issue me the moneygram) 3) They would charge me $15 to process the moneygram/re-issue it (Cost $4.50 to purchase from the store) Bottom-line...go to Post Office! Not only can they stop payment/cancel the money order but they can Reissue one the SAME DAY!
I have never seen such a scam, I have used MoneyGram many times in the past with no problems Thank God. I called Customer service 3 times and each time I was told the reference number was right and that the person I sent the money to needs to have the agent call Customer service. then The Agent tell the person I'm sending the money to they are too busy to Call. Of Course this is CVS. Another crappy company. I ask the customer service agent where they were located and I'm told I'm speaking to someone in Nicaragua Not the US, only to not get any help. I payed for 10 minute service only it has now been two days and my receiver still cant get the money and if I cancel the transfer I don't get my money back for ten days so They basically said I'm screwed. I wonder if the banking commission knows this Ten seconds and my money is gone and ten days to get it back into my account
