This company absolutely sucks. All I wanted to do was send some money to a friend and the next thing I know I'm being asked a million personal questions. It was none of these peoples business why I'm sending money to my friend. They don't need his address, they aren't mailing him anything. By the time I answered the question of how I know the person I am sending this to for the 300th time I was so pissed off I couldn't see straight. They made me feel like I was some sort of criminal. I felt like I was being interrogated. I finally just said "let's end this, refund my money". He agreed with the temper I was getting it would be a good idea to just end it. He said the questions only would get more personal after these anyway. WTH!!!! Never doing business with this company ever again.

I bought a money order from walmart. I went back to cash it and was told that I couldn't. I was given a 1800 # which could not give me a reason for why they couldn't cash the money order. Their service it not good at all.

I know that I seem like a dumbass but I need some help. My money orders were stolen from the apartment complex I live in. I'm pretty sure I left the receipts attatched to the money orders. For some reason my roomate gets a lot better customer service than I do. Probably because she is a girl. I still haven't been able to track down my money. How can I get my $ back?

I am dealing with the same thing as the other people on here. i purchased a money gram money order for a partial deposut on an apartment and was unable ti move. thw apartments sent me the money order back with their name in it. now i can't get my money back. i think we all nwed to get a lawyer and put a stop to them ripping us off

Do not purchase moneygram money orders from Walmart. One c you fill the money order out and fail to use it Walmart Cooprae states the moneygram money order can be refunded at Walmart. Money gram says Walmat should refund the money order. Walmart Managers refuse to refund the money order wven with the purchase reciept in hand and then will tell you "The Cooperate Office is mistaking and they dont know what they are talking about" This is the worst place to get involved with concerning money orders

My niece just purchased a money gram at CVS in San Antonio to pay her apartment rent. The money gram was accidently torn and apartment refused to accept it. CVS will not take it back nor can they help her in any way. Money gram will not refund her money for 30 days or more.
She is a student and this company needs to get the hell out of Texas.

Money Gram - you are messing with our Texas children and we do not take kindly to that. The Attorney General of Texas will be notified as well as the Better Business Bureau.
Fellow Texans - time we kick their company out of Texas.

had a money order written to a place and then found it they didnt take it after they already said they did. I had to try and refund it to get my money back. But to do so you have to send in a money order claim card which can take a month to 2 months...if that isnt bad enough YOU HAVE TO PAY THEM a 15$ free what a crock of Chet! Also you cannot even talk to a live person have to go through this very annoying PUSH 1 PUSh 2 PUSh 3 menu to get this resolved.

I purhcased a money order and made it out to a apartment complex and did not move. Hep the other writer is correct, they keep your money and them it takes them 65 days to send you a refund! 65 days! What a crock, you can call and call. Ya don't get anywhere. And everyone is foreign and you cannot understand them. I will never every purchase a MO from money gram again. Bunch of common crooks!

I Purchased a money order from CVS for $25 the m/o was accidently made out to the wrong DMV of NYC-instead it was to be made to the DMV of NJ. So now I must pay $15 in order to get a new M/O just to get a new M/O-this is called malicous persercution to the taxpayer,the consumer and I truly see that CVS&MONEYGRAM does not care about the consumer-only the $$$-this has&will be reported to social media as well BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU ALSO to Finance commitee. we and ex customers of moneygram will take this to news journalist that will make sure struggling taxpayers like me get justice for the political robbery. CNN,FOX,MNSBC,BET,CHARLIE ROSE,TAVIS SMILEY etc.....

I bought a money order to use on a drama class for my kid. He's usually an outgoing kid. He ended up so shy when it came to speaking in front of a crowd that he didn't want to take the class anymore. The teacher of the class gave me the money order back. It was only $35 but the store I bought it in won't take it back. The employees there also have no idea where to go to get it exchanged, one told me to try online and I still have no idea? Nobody answered my message.

HOW TO REACH LIVE SUPPORT

I found that if you stay on the phone, after calling money gram, and let the menus run their course, 2 or 3 times, and just do nothing, but stay on the phone, the system will eventually connect you to a live representative, who still wasn't able to help me because of the amount of money I sent. I needed to retrieve a lost reference number, but was told I needed to go back to the location, or any money gram location, with ID, to get the teller to contact money gram to get the info I needed.

I been try to get in contact with somebody or anybody you never pick up my calls. How I can sent my claim when nobody answer the phone. I am very dissappointed because you offer a service worldwide and you don't keep your customer happy. This tell the consumer that you have to be very careful when we use your service.

I sent money through moneygram on the 21/09/12 to some one in uganda. The money was picked up by another person and not the intended person named on the transaction. When the person i sent the money went to collect it, he was told it had been collected by some one already which was so suprising.

When i tried calling moneygram, i could not get any response so i decided to email them. Some one responded after 3 days and told me they are investigating the matter and they would get in touch with me.

I tried calling them sevcerally until i managed to speak to some one after being tossed around like a fool and they told me they would investigate the matter and get back to me within 3 weeks. No one ever contacted me despte me emailing them on a weekly basis.

It has now been 25 days since i sent the money and no one has contacted me to tell me if i will ever recieve my money back.

I dont know what to do now. It seems i have been screwed by a company that refers themselves as an international money transfer company. This is all unprofessional as I have never seen such a company with such bad customer service attitude that does not care about their customers.

I now have been advised to take this matter to court and the police and hopefully they will listen and pay me back the money. I will never use moneygram again. I can never recommend them to any one to any one and i am going to make sure that this post is posted every where on the internet so that some one can do something about it. This is day robbery of the highest order. Monegram cannot continue to treat customers this way as if they are the only organistation on earth that send money all over the world. Can some one who has faced the same problem with moneygram please contact me and tell me how they got their problem sorted?

Money Gram customer service is a joke! I have been trying to ask a question for four days and all I have gotten is fustrated. Recorded menues, busy signals and terrible service seem to be the norm for this company. The only people I spoke with would only connect me with another button pushing menue. I have never had customer service this bad before. Even my e-mail was not returned. How do they stay in business?

Facts:
I purchased 4 money orders to pay my property taxes in a different state than Minnesota, the state I live in.

I wrote a single word "Marriott" into the "Pay to the Order Of:......" I did this as protection in case I lost or had the money orders stolen. I also originally intgended to pay fees owed to Marriott.

That payable line still has room to put my name in as an Alternate Payee.

I realized I wanted to pay the property taxes first because they can take my house 20 days from now if I do not pay them on time.

However, the customer service rep and her supervisor say they can only refunds the money within 30 to 65 days if I have the stubs attached to the ends of the Money orders. I told them I have something better, the actual money orders, but not the stubs, which I have detached and have misplaced or lost. "I'm sorry sir, that is policy becaue we consider the stubs as the proof of purchase." (1). I told them the underlying reason for the policy is to determine that the moeny order has not been stolen. I told them I have the Purchase receipt with the serial noumbers on the receipt. I read them the serial numbers from the actual and original money orders, which I have stapled in the file. They will not budge.

Therefore thay say 30-to 65 days is all they can do, which means I will lose the house on October 12, 22 days from now. I will try to write my name as an alternative payee and write the phrase suggested by them on the check in front of my bank officer. I will continue this story if that does not work.

This is a public company located in Dallas Texas. They continue to be as short sighted in this case and the others listed. However, I was able to talk to 2 separate individuals.

i sent money through money gram but the indian lady at the 7 eleven couldn't help or assist me for the tranasaction number,and was waiting for some minutes.but still couldnt manage to give my tranasaction receipt cos according to her the machine or the money gram receipt doesnt worked yet...

Why is it so difficult to speak to a live person? I went thru at least 5 different #'s before I spoke to someone who I could explain my situation to.I was on the phone either hearing choices that had nothing to do with my problem or on hold waiting 45 min for the next available customer service rep.Your system sucks & is need of a major overhaul. My problem is still not solved but it is costing me time on my cell phone plus my own time & money for gas to go back & forth to the store where it was purchased. Who is going to reimburse me for that.It already costs too much to send money then I have to continue paying?Get your act together & be a true customer friendly service. I was so frustrated & angry by the time I quit, my blood pressure had sky rocketed. Maybe I could have sued for your company causing a heart attack or stroke by frustrating your customers so badly.

Not trying to be mean about this but its the truth. The service that I receive was horrible the first person who picked up on me hung up, than the next person telling me they got no place for me to go talk to in person. I mentioned a address the court gave to me when I went there, than everytime I asked a question he kept telling he has no answers to the question that I am asking. I never heard such bad customer service provided to me. I am trying to retreive information on who receieved my money, but because no one would help and kept giving me different phone numbers to call its impossible to retreive any paper work or information on how to obtain anything. Hopefully your employees can learning on how to help a customer instead of turning people away when they are trying to resolve a problem they have in the later future. Because I had been in customer service before and I understand the steps of trying to retreive information for a customer is hard, but it should not be this hard to find out information on who received the money that I had sent. Very disappointed about the service that I had received.

I'll add my name to the list of unsatisfied customers. I have already written two e mails to Moneygram, Moneyorders and they do not reply back. I do not think that I should pay them $30.00 for 2 checks that were already paid to them just because I forgot to cash them. After many attempts of calling when I get through a life agent, they left me waiting until I got tired of waiting.

no mater what, I just saying that human error is normal in what kind of arrangement. To avoid all that thing happened continuously, the management have to take an drastic action for the future. Just to stop all the complains.

Is there any cooperate headquarters of Money gram in Ghana?
Please assist me to all my request. I really appreciate it, so that the receiver will not become the victim if this is not a true arrangement.

I have used money gram money orders for 25+ years and i think its a bunch of BS that you cant talk to a live person when needed.I will no longer use them as a way of paying out of town bills because of the BS you have to go through to get a refund on a lost money order. sincerly pissedoff
