Have spent hours with many tech support people with no solution to my problem of being disconnected frequently - while trying to get email,googling or sending email, etc. Jrt No Car.

The technician was really understanding . He got to the root of the issue and helped me resolve the issue . This techinician should be given special privileges and should be promoted . His name is Steven Smith .

i spoke to an earthlink agent he was excellent he resolved my issue n educated me what all happened to my computer n he sent me an antivirus disk which i feel is awesome. . i request the directors of earthlink to make promote him as a trainer if i remember that guy name was masiuddin(brian). earthlink tech agent rocks

i have been with earthlink/mindspring for 12 years and i can NOT get help with my dsl connection !!! Have spent 40 + hours on the phone to NO get no real help!
Do not choose earthlink for your provider , i am changing today !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Someone illegally used my information to start an earthlink account, so i called their customer service number that appeared on the bill.
after a ton of press# prompts i finally got an agent.
after explaining the situation, and that i have already filled out a police report for my bank,
the agent then decided i needed to upgrade my service (to "high-speed dialup", with their extra cost programs as well)
my response was no, i do not wish to have any earthlink services.
the agent then proceeded to say well ok then i am going to send you a disk with our antivirus software (ect)
i said again ... no earthlink...
then he continued to tell me that the service has been terminated, but the email account will still be active...
i said ... why would i want to have someone else's email on a site i will never use (i use comcast)
to wich he replies "well for 3.99 that will automatically bill to the account we have on file we can provide you with...."
i said "i am not looking for any earthlink products at the moment and now i will never be looking for them in the future"
.....at which point he said, are you sure you do not wish to have your existing earthlink email for 3.99 a month.
at wich point i laid it on him... why would i want to pay for an email account if i can have as many as i want for free.... and some experlatives thrown in along with the speak to your manager (who did the same thing after saying that their agents should do no such thing and that he is issuing a refund within 7-10 days)
it has been 45 days so far and 3 more of the same calls / same issues and still no return (or account cancellation# so my bank can return my $$ and get earthlink for the payback)

i contacted earthlink, live chat on 4-24-10. my password was not accepted to get online. i chatted with Patrick and also to Joseph V. both these guys were fantastic. i called earthlink support on 4-26-10 and talked with Jeff about my problem.. he corrected my problem in less that 15 minutes. words cannot describe how nice, all (3) of these guys were, and how they show interest in helping earthlink customers. they know their jobs, very well. thank you for your good service and your great staff.J.HENDRIXON
