Signed up for directv, waited for 2 weeks before they could install my cable. Said they would be here between 8-12. They showed up at 2. Then told me they didn't have a big enough ladder to climb on my roof. Long story short, I never got it hooked up. When I called directv, they said they could come out and install it for me in a week, I told them why do I have to wait a total of 3 weeks to get it installed. She offered me a discount on my bill, I said I don't want a discount I want my cable installed. Needless to say, I went back to comcast.

Every since the first time I rented NFL Sunday Ticket it came with the channel 702 NFL MIXS. But this year they have taken that channel off the package without letting the costumers know. And now they are telling me that I can only get it if I buy new receivers. I expected better from Directv. It is hard to believe that your customers mean so little to you that you would take away the best part of the package with no reguard for your customers. the NFL MIXS channel is the main reason I buy NFL Sunday Ticket. I upgraded a few months ago so I could view my local channel 6, now you have taken that away, will my bill come down? Will you give me another channel? I heard a rumor that you were taking RFD off, if you do that, then I will cancel altogether..

I have had an agreement for years that because we purchase the baseball channel so my husband an watch the Yankees play, here in Oklahoma where we now live. My agreement with Direct TV for several yeas has been, I am suppose to be able to watch the Red Sox games on channel 628 (no extra charge). I am able to watch the game when it starts until it ends then the channel is blacked out from me. It would not be fair to pay for the baseball channel if I was NOT able to watch my team and he was. Please advise why I wasn't able to watch the game tonight. I am NOT a Happy Direct TV Customer. Remember I am the one who writes the checks to pay the bills! .LOL

After u set up your acct. change your c/c number because directv will keep raising your price after 6-12 mos. *** Worst customer service & every time it rains mod.to heavy i loose signal !

Do you read your own reports from conversations with your customers? If not, look up my conversation with your customer service yesterday. You will see my concern with your accounting and numbers you use, somewhat erratically. I put in a mail box a check yesterday for $90.06 to cover my usage of your services through mid June. It will probably be the last check you receive from me.

I willing signed up for direct TV genie on May 15, 2014. From day 1 I experienced nothing but problem with Direct TV service. Calling customer service was even worst, no one seem too care that my service was not properly installed no remotes was working. He left no paper work I signed nothing and to top it off they unplug all my surround sound and I was told by customer service. it was not his job to make sure that was installed back that now I must pay for their advance tech to come out. WOW. Set an appointment on May 24 sat all day waiting then I called question the tech arrival. I was told I canceled the appointment that I took off work to be home and get the service I deserve after paying the installation fee .

Today I spoke with one of your representatives, Alexis Together we went over the TV's I have and the programming I would like, actually we went over it several times in making sure of any billing complications later. I agreed with her quote and we an scheduled installation. Later that day I received an email confirming the schedule, equipment and billing. The billing was $10 more per month than quoted, naturally in Direct TV's favor. The email confirmed the equipment and programming correctly, I also checked my notes, I wrote while discussing all with Alexis ID#1256094, and all was correct, except the amount of monthly payments. I immediately called Direct TV, and after speaking to 5 different people, they stated they could do nothing for me. with the monthly fee. They did agree that made an error, She quoted me $81.99/month for 12 months then $115.99 thereafter. I am completely dissatisfied with Direct TV's approach in the handling of my situation. No effort was made to assist me, after I had already cancelled programming with my current carrier. Truly disappointed in this major company. Other people I spoke to, , Giavonni, (did not speak long enough to get his ID) Chrystal, also did not get an ID.

Direct T.v.'s Tech Support Service Is Above & Beyond Inferior!!!!!!!!!!
I Call And Get A Message To Call Back In 4 Hours As They Are Doing
Service Maintenance. You Increased My Prices And Gave Me More
Channels , 75% Of Which Are More Advertising And Some Have 3 Of
The Same Program On At The Same Time Just Different Channels.
Very Very Dissatisfied With The Cable Going Out As Often As It Does
And Not Being Able To Reach A Tech Rep....ready To Switch My Cable

Direct TV has very poor customer service...and trying to get a supervisor /manager on the phone is next to impossible. I have been on the phone for over an hour....most of which has been on hold waiting for a "manager". Problem we are trying to solve: My dad passed away...all affairs in order, no power of attorney or executor of estate needed.....Contacted Direct TV to cancel his account, and have refund check made out to my wife, they said no problem.....I am his son....we sent in receiver as requested. We receive a check made out to executor of estate....which we cannot cash. Now they are saying that it's the only way they can refund the money. I have spoken to two "supervisors/Managers" Ray Bentley #100619885 and Clark # 100238237....and on hold again. Yes, this is being posted while I wait or try to get this resolved. Apparently no one can override policy and actually refund money to anyone other than the estate.....even if there is none. this is ludicrous, ...I guess they want me to spend a few thousand dollars to be appointed as the "executor" for an estate that does not exist, to process a $96.89 Direct TV refund check.....insane.
Finally!!! Clark was able to figure out that the check could be actually made out to my wife....who made the original request to cancel service....Which was how the Direct TV customer service rep told her it would be done in the first place.....will wait to see if it actually comes in that way the next time....in 7 to 10 business days....And the process on the phone only took 1 hr 18 mins. and 38 secs...absolutely the worst customer "service" ever.

For those of you who are looking for TV service, do not use Direct TV, I had Dish but moved and the service was not available at new location was forced to use Direct......was charged for wiring, etc but wiring was already available, they told me they would install The receiver at no charge.....but that didn't happen.......service is lousy, would not advise to anyone......so save yourself a bunch of headaches and dissatisfaction, don't go with Direct TV .l....

Trying to decide if I want to switch from Dish to a Direct bundle, but I can't seem to get a price quote and a channel line-up to compare to my existing company...The salesman just kept telling me I could save a lot of money, but with no quote to back it up. After reading these reviews, I think I will stay where I'm at. The only way I could get a price quote sent to my E-mail was after they charged a credit card for $21. They must not need new customers!!!

I just cancelled installation of Direct TV in my home. Why? Because I spoke to three different people and was given three different price quotes for the Ultimate package--before, during, and after I placed the order. I spoke to a "Manager," Kelly, and explained my frustration and asked that they honor the prices I was quoted when I ordered. He would not do it so i cancelled immediately. I can't believe a company would do that. The phone conversation was recorded when i placed the order and asked them to go back to the tape and they would not. Bait and switch much? I am not a sucker.

I think it is better than Dish. But you always have problems when an animal gets this big.
Just try to find some one that talks English or someone that will call you back. The list will go
on and on and on. If you only complain about one thing out of the thousands of things
direct does, that is rather pathetic. Don't you think.

Worse customer service around . They transfer you around and leave you on hold until you give up and hang up. Never can download a movie. Customer service always gives different answers to what the problem is. We never have issues streaming Netflix. Hate DiIRECTV!!!

I really wish I had never switched to Direct TV from Dish ! They say you have all these channels , but then you find out MOST of them are shopping networks and religious programing and other just plain JUNK CHANNELS! Now they took the Inspiration channel! It was one of VERY that we watched! I WILL NOT RENEW MY CONTRACT when it is up! I also heard they are also canceling more of the very few channels worth watching ! Bad , bad move!!!!

If DirectTV doesn't bring back the weather channel I will cancel as SOON as the contract is up & will never go back. The same is true if DirectTV doesn't carry the SEC network. My weather & football comes first!

Just heard Direct is not going to carry the SEC network. If true, myself and thousands of SEC football fans will change carriers. Thousands of movies and other crappy entertainment is available without Direct, football is important to us.

I am very upset that the Inspiration Channel was recently discontinued. It was one of the few good channels on your line up. There's not much worthwhile on TV and this was a refreshing difference

I am really hoping that Direct TV doesn't do away with ABC Family as of March 1st......this will be the 2nd strike with us as "new customers" and we've only been signed up since September! Sucker them in with false information and then treat them poorly because you have them locked into a contract........shameful way to handle business! 3 strikes and your out with us......I'll pay the fee to cancel your service :)

I called Direct TV as i would be moving sometime and requested box to return equipment. so they turned my service off, I only wanted the box so I would them when needed. Now at 5am no sevice and no one to talk to at Direct TV.
They should get some one who could speak clearly land listen the same way, just piss poor service.

This current snowstorm makes it clear that The Weather Channel is far superior to Weather Nation. The Weather Channel has real meteorologists with the knowledge and training to report weather accurately. They also travel to areas where severe weather is likely. Since they are based in Atlanta you can bet they would have been on top of this current snowstorm.

I complained earlier about losing the WEATHER CHANNEL. I just want to let you know how happy I am that the WEATHER NATION has added my local weather like I had with the WEATHER CHANNEL. I still miss Dr Forbes and Jim Cantore but at least now I can get my local weather anytime. .
