System not working in Cleveland TN. No storms or electrical power outage.please repair!
Read the reviews below to see the experience other people have had when dealing with customer service from Charter.
I received a call from Charter at my place of employment. It was a call trying to get me to upgrade my service. I was upset that I had been called at work. I told them never to call that number again and I even called a number at the corporate office. Was told I would be added to the No Call List. What a joke - just got another call on my job !!!! I said again - Take me off of your call list. The girl that called said "Well, you weren't ever taken off but I will take you off now. Very doubtful. I do not like calls like this while on the job.
Your customer service representatives at the 888 number (once one gets a human being - always hit that zero) are great. Your web site is so unbelievably frustrating that I came close to throwing my laptop across the room. I tried to log in, got a page saying that I could use my old log in, was then take to a page saying that I had to update my log in. A link was provided. However the page it took me to did not have anything on it about updating my information. It did have an "Account" link. Clicking on that took me right back to the original use your old log in page. Which again to me to the shiny and brand new Charter page. Which again did not provide any way to accomplish the update. After 4 or 5 times on this not so merry round, I gave up and called the 888 number. The people there were great.
Still having sporadic internet service due to an unknown problem. Three technician visits, three new routers, more than ten phone calls to try to get someone out that can truly complete the service...and awaiting a return phone call from a supervisor at Charter. If this was new service, it would be installed and completed the same day. The problem seems to have baffled all three technicians and their supervisor who was called by one tech and came with one tech. If I was this inefficient with my job, the patient would already have died, been buried and the grave flowers would have dried up and blown away. Beware using the service.
There are several Charter Communication wires down across my 81-year-old handicapped grandmother front porch. We have been given the run around for almost 2 days now. I am on my 5th call with Charter. A technician was standing there staring at the pole and wires watching my mother ON A CANE try to get my grandmother (Who is recovery from a broken pelvis due to a fall) up the ramp and around the wires ON A WALKER. When asked about removing the wires, my mother was blown off and told "I know nothing about that." "I don't have a work order." I was promised to be a HIGH PRIORITY last night and this afternoon and that it would be handle last night or first thing this morning but no. Dispatch says the will TRY TO GET SOMETHING SCHEDULED. They hope to KNOW something more by 9 PM TONIGHT but can't assure me.
My husband returned our moxi box because it wasn't working. He returned with a DVR box and a different remote control. All of my recordings were gone, and I had no idea how to operate the new remote. Why do these things have to be so complicated? Honestly, they are not very intuitive, and have way too many buttons that most people will never use. So first I'm annoyed that my shows are erased, then it takes me half an hour to figure out the new remote. Many people, especially older folks, have difficulty with the remotes. Why don't you issue a user friendly instruction sheet when these are given out to your customers? It's not always easy to find directions online.
Why has Charter disconnected my IMAP email. I use Outlook Express and it has been disconnected. I went through the interwiz with your recorded agent. Everything worked until the end when I sent myself a message and it never went through. I have been without email for 4 days, trying to fix this. I do not want to have to go through the web mail every time I want to send or receive an email. If we can't get this fixed, I want to cancel Charter and I'll find another server.
We are a business and we had a problem with Charter since we moved to Charter. Phone lines and internet goes off all the time. Technicians came fix but after week same thing and they charge 115$ for technician visit. Right now our phone lines are down. I tried to call Charter their numbers are down too. How long is this going to continue? You will loss your customers... Never had this problem with At & T. Only moved to Charter for their fast internet,,,
Wowee, looks like I wasn't the only one down (8/14) and getting a busy signal. First time for a busy signal for me, but how then are we to get info about internet being down? Went to sleep, woke up, rebooted modem, viola! I have mixed reviews about Charter. I have had some great techs (outsourced) as well as some pretty lame ones. My frustration is that my internet is so damn variable. WHY does it go down so often? I'd like a refund for hours of no access.
Since acquiring service from optimum cable in missoula montana, charter service has gone steadily downhill. 24/7 technical support is non-existant. Customer service is sht. Many service outages which convenient ly correspond with endless and frustrating phone menus that lead to endless hold. As soon as another option for ISP is available in my area, I am gone. Fucharter.
I am very p.o at charter. Both lines are down. Thier commercials are a big fat lie. They are not reliable. This is not the first time I had major issues with them. Thier lines go down once or twice a week and take hours upon hours to get back up. Some of thier tech support are stingy.
These guys are very bad. If you're looking at Charter Communication services for internet... forget about it. They're terrible.
Service sucks. Tried to call numerous times and always busy signal. I pay for internet, phone and cable. I don't even use the phone barely watch tv but the Internet I use constantly. It went down and I haven't been able to get in contact with their 24/7 service line. What a joke. I'm going back to my previous provider.
The rating to actually contact you and receive assistance is 2.8 out of 5 stars. I couldn't reach you. I just got my conversion boxes for HD, mandatory if I continue to pay for Charter, and the cable box is impossible to hook up on my Vizio Flatscreen tv. The person handing out the boxes et. today was short on words and longer on silence when I asked some questions. I was parked in the handicapped area, and yet no one helped me with the boxes. I get home and the super easy install, a la desk front help, didn't work. I can't get help anywhere. I am savvy with electronics and English. I am very displeased with the service for several years now. I am sick of your ads--too many. If I cannot get this up and running, I will return it. Some years ago I was insulted by the man who entered my home; so no, you will not be visiting my home, it's too scary now days.
I have called Charter several times in the last few weeks about poor service. Tonight, Hallmark Christmas movies channel 66 and 165 are going black and jumping. I told the last service tech that was at my house that every time a truck is on the street my service goes bad and sure enough a truck was on the street this week and now my service is messed up.
My call for technical support lasted approximately 15 minutes. I had to listen to 2 attempts of the automated assistant to reconnect my service. Since I had an older TV, the instructions were not appropriate for my cable box. Either add instructions for both types of boxes or allow the customer to speak immediately to a technical support individual. When I was actually able to speak to an individual my problem was quickly resolved. The automated assistant was a waste of my time.
