I went through Priceline to book a flight and car rental. Once I got to the car rental place in DFW,I told the guy at the counter that I had paid via Priceline for my rental. He said ok, asked me about pre-paying for fuel; which I said fine. Thinking I was only getting charged for the fuel, he slide my card. Then handed me a receipt and told me I'd be charged $441 and some change, and have a total of $950 dollars held until I bring the car back. I told him, I'd just like to cancel it, because they didn't know when I'd be able to get into a car and having that much money into a rental car, is plain ridiculous! The guy at the counter said I'd get a full refund, but I'd have to call Priceline, since I booked from them. Was no help what-so-ever. So I called Priceline, they refunded me the amount I paid online and told me the rest of the 950 I had to go through the rental place. So I called thrifty again and they said they couldn't help me, I had to call priceline, even though, they refunded me on there end. After almost 3 days on the phone I finally got someone to kind help me, told me once I dropped the vehicle off, I'd receive my refund. Not understanding I NEVER TOOK A CAR! Back and forth for 3 days, and they finally claimed they would refund me. I should've received my money back Monday (May 10) and currently I am still waiting in it.

I would recommend NEVER going through THRIFTY CAR RENTAL. They have awful customer service in store and on the phone.
