I've been a customer of PNC bank for over 5 years and there's always an issue with my account. My latest experience really just pushed me overboard and finally decided that this bank is totally a waste of time and money. Every month I withdraw over $900 from my account and yesterday late afternoon when I withdrawn the money, one of the bill turned out to be fake. I didn't know this until I did my grocery shopping and the store wouldn't take the bill. Since it's late and the bank is already closed, I had no choice but to wait the next day. Today, I was at the same branch and spoke with the cashier and manager, they know me since I visit this branch a lot of times. I explained everything but they said there's nothing they can do. Once you leave the bank, they can't exchange the bill for another one. How the heck am I supposed to know the fake bills, when your own bank clerk cannot even tell the difference. I showed them the bill, both manager and clerk said the bill is fine and its real. But as soon as they used a machine to verify the authenticity, it turned out to be fake. Still, the final result ... I lost $I00, they can't take the bill back ,its my lost. No matter if you are a known customer. My continued support from all the years with them meant nothing.
