Sports Authority has lost my business forever, and I know a lot of people that feel the same way. I do not know what type of service they are using for returns, but it is bogus. I have NEVER made a return to them, and am not a frequent returner anywhere, however, 4 days after I made a purchase I was denied a return with my receipt. I purchased shoes and someone bought my son a pair as well. He liked those better so I wanted to return the ones I purchased. I am not sure where the harm is in that. Now I am stuck with a pair of basketball shoes that no one wants. Great! I don't know about anyone else, but I need my money. I can't afford to give it away to Sports Authority. They make enough money by overcharging for their merchandise. In a Nutshell, between this and my friends comments on their awful customer service....Sports Authorit Sucks!!! Academy Sports will get the business that they lost. Congratulations...I hope this was your goal.

I will never shop at LOSER SPORTS AUTHORITY again - all they care about is selling their stupid little extended warranties!! I purchased a backpack for my son several weeks ago and the zipper broke. I took it back to LSA and they said "sorry". I contacted the backpack company and they told me that they were sorry and that they would send me a replacement backpack. The lady ripped LOSER SPORTS AUTHORITY - stating that they (LSA) could honor the lifetime warranty but they (LSA) made a corporate decision to let the customer fend for themselves. She said MANY companies honor the lifetime warranty but not LOSER SPORTS AUTHORITY. LOSER SPORTS AUTHORITY DOES NOT CARE ABOUT THE CUSTOMER AND HENCEFORTH - I WILL TAKE MY BUSINESS ELSEWHERE!!!

Sanford fl. I have a bike that I purchased 7 years ago it has since buying the bike a diamond back which was not a cheap one however since purchasing bike the spokes and gears keep breakingso again I take it in for service again the bike is out of commission for 3 months while they decided they could not remove the hub they call diamonback and they decided to replace it at no cost which is appreciated I take the bike back to store for the new wheel to be replaced they tune it up check the gears and replaced the inner tube I get the bike home and the tire is flat i notified the mgr. of the situation he feels he has done enough well excuse me but that store and the manager seem to have issues when it comes to customer service and dealing with their customers I wen tto the store because thats where i buy my gear check you records most recently I purchased 2 sets of golf clubs 6 shirts a pair of shoes golf and tghe list goes on like i said i appreciate the store going out of their way but please why is it repeatedly after every repair that afternoon and or the next day the bikes spokes are broken or the tires are flat rersponse from manager was it had air when you left well again excuse me but what does one think we enjoy having to carry the bike back and forth for silly repairs and to have one manager to comment it had air when you left is rediculous all I asked is if he replaced like he said the inner tube then why is it not holding air the bike was not used yet or anything money is not the issue and again I appreciated the fact that they went thru diamondback but as a reminder I also was charged for the tube I contacted customer service a week ago and heard nothing back wow ,the market is no longer going to be Sports Authority in Sanford with this type of customer service when in the fall at Seminole Square Mall will be a New Dicks Sporting Goods Store wonder where I will be going next. HOW DOES ONE GET SATISFACTION with Sports Authority all I wanted was a repair to a bike I have even asked years ago after it was in the shop[ the first time with broken spokjes and gears not shifting for them to buy back and I would pay difference on a new one we are not in that bussiness but then again I gues your not as at that time I was in Orange Park and we all know that store is now closed .

I went to the SA in Keyport, NJ. I "was" going to purchase a high end set of golf clubs and shoes. However, after waiting 20 mins. Listining to two salesmen talking about their personal life. When I said "thanks for the no service" to the front desk attendant she said nothing! Extermley l poor custumer service. I will never go back to Sports Authoriy

I went into the Woodbridge NJ store to find a football jersey and was harassed by one of the sales associates (very poor attitude/profanity). When I approached the store manager to complain the sales person became angry and confrontational. The store manager pulled him into the storeroom. after 5 minutes, the manager returned and informed me that this person was terminated, however the manager than displayed a poor attitude with me. This would lead me to believe that this rude sales person was not terminated and was allowed back onto the sales floor once my friends and I left the store.

I feel that this is a poor reflection of the Sports Authority and I WILL NEVER SHOP IN ANY OF THEIR STORES AGAIN!!!!!

I went into Sports Authority to make a return on five shirts. Two of the shirts I removed the tags but never wore them. The cashier on duty told me that the manager would have to make the decision to except the shirts without the tags attached. The manager on duty was Ms. Diane Graebert, she decided to take the shirts back. What was so wonderful was that she treated me as if I was a customer making a purchase at her store and not a return. Ms. Diane was friendly, professional and extremely accommodating. Its really pleasant to see good customer service still exist.

Has the worst billing practices ever, cannot setup online account to pay by e-check called they said pay by phone for a 15 dollar charge. The next month I mail my bill out 8 days before due date, this month I check my statement they charged me a 25.00 late fee. I call customer service she tells me very rudely "we don't remove late fees" I cancelled my account right on the spot. Modell's is a much better store with great billing practices. I sent my cut up
SP card with payment I never shop there again

went to the store today to buy some cycle shorts 1st cust rep approach me and ask if I needed help give a point for that.. I was checking out short at section when 2nd cust rep approach the rack and says not a word a proceeded to tidy up the rack next to me as if I am making a mess, I wasn't. not a single greeting to the customer take point away.. tried to contact the company via email but not a single email address anywhere on their site.. what kind of corporation online has no email contact??? and they want to compete with online retailers?

Went into the Brentwood, MO. store to buy a package of .22 pellets for an air rifle. They had one package and zero selection.

At the checkout the clerk needed to know my birthday to make sure I was over 18, I am in my 60's but she couldn't check me out with out entering my birth date into her cash register.


I WON'T BE SETTING FOOT IN ONE OF THEIR STORES AGAIN!!!

coconut point mall Estero fl . Went in store to buy statinory bike,could get no help,when finally some one came over they knew nothing about the bike how to raise the seat if it was battery powered or electric? My husband finally asked if they wanted to sell this bike or not ? The guy walked towards the desk and rhen turned a said I don't know what you want ? I said a little custermor service would be nice. We left the store and I called to speak to the manager was told he just went to lunch this makes me sure he was the one we were talking to and it was his lunch time and this was more important then the sale of the bike. I am a manager of one of the top stores in the state of Florida an my first lesson taught to my employees is CUSTMOER SERVICE .We went to Play it Again Sports and bought the bike, I will never shop Sports Authority again.

Terrible customer service at the store and online as online is actually another company. Treated rudely and you can see by the workers they hire they dont care about there business.. Well when someone waste my time and disrepects me they have to pay for it. All this has made me find a way how to get free stuff from sports authority without stealing. I love it now i use there money to get the stuff i want. Love getting things for free.

On 1/12/11 at approximately 1pm at the SA in Altamonte Springs, FL I had a terrible experience with the CSR. I went into the store to exchange a brand new fishing rod that I bought at a neighboring SA. I asked the lady if there was a way to exchange the rod for one similar with the same price. I didn't have a receipt. She said she couldn't do anything without a receipt and told me to call the other store to get help. I asked the lady would she be able to call the other store for me. The answer I got in return shocked me!, "No, you can call them!". Then she proceeded to turn her body away from me and go about her business! I stood there in awe and just left in amazement at the way I was treated. I've never had this happen to me.
I'm just wondering if this is SA s.o.p. I've been buying from SA for many years. I hope that this is an isolated incident. Thought you should know!

On-line ordering is terrible. I ordered a razor bike for the holidays and was shipped the wrong model. Needless to say, after many phone calls, the right model was never shipped. When I sent the wrong model back, they credited my account but were never able to get me the right bike. I passed up other store offers to order with Sports Authority and ended up missing other deals and no holiday present. What a terrible store.

I'd like to compliment your employee, Megan Alberts at the Willowbrook, IL. store. I had been wandering the store for 1/2 hour looking for three gifts. One guy told me they didn't carry one of the the products I was looking for (North Face T-shirt).She was able to show me the three items within a short period of time. What an outstanding salesperson! (I purchased several North Face jackets as gifts at this store and the one in Woodridge, IL. in Nov. and no employee came close to her in salesmanship.

Their Dolphin Mall store in Miami is a dismal example of poor management - there is no customer service to speak of, the employees are disengaged, disinterested and disrespectful. I found out why when I asked to see the manager. A very rude and dismissive person, the store is a clear reflection of the poor management. Don't take my word for it. Send some secret shoppers or show up unnanounced, you will be appalled !

I was just at the sports authority on Palm Beach Lakes in West Palm Beach.

I went to use the restroom and there was a half toilet seat and the restroom was filty.

I took pictures and will be sending them to you.

I would get the seat fixed someone could get hurt.

Clean up the restroom it is the worst.

I went to the Sports Authority in Willowbrook, IL to purchase some football gear for my grandson but had to return one item trying to get a smaller size. No smaller size, so I decided to get my money back. Since I returned the item the same day I had to show my drivers license (supposedly store policy).

In this day and age of identity theft I feel the fewer times people know my info the better. Not only did I have to show ID to get my money back but my credit card receipt had my full name on it. I think Sports Authority should do better for the customer regarding identity theft.

I agree, lip service, ordered football items for a soldier in Iraq. Finally received one pack of sock, Boys size instead of Mens. Customer Service wants me to go to library to print their free label and Reorder correct size. I told him I'm Not reordering to take another 1 1/2 wks. They should be free and overnite shipping. No results.

Purchased Golds Gym Pro Series Smith Machine &
extended warranty early this year. Cable system
has never worked properly.Parts are not readily available. Sports Authority customer
service always provides sugur coated lip service, Zero results, just lip service. The
warranty they sold me is worthless, if parts
aren't available. Sports Authority & Jaz
Enterprises (service company) have left me holding an empty bag for the pass six months.
