I bought a 14kt gold ring off e-bay and after going to a jeweler found out it was fake. So, I went to JC Penney and told them about it. They had an authentic ring and it will make a great Christmas gift. But, they said no comments could be made about eBayers having third-party authentications from Jewelers as a requirement. With all this "bitcoin" and other madness in markets, how can I not complain about 14kt gold gifts for loved ones? That ring could feed a family in hard times! Sure, they did the best they could and I wanted to at least call to thank Shelby in a different department for being helpful as I continued my day. No internet stuff, wow.

Yes, I had purchase two pair of Levi Jeans online which arrived at my apartment this past Friday evening. I tried them on and I realized they didn't fit me.

Today, I took them back to the local JC Penny here at the Tacoma Mall here in Tacoma Wa. I explained my situation to the customer service rep and proceeded to exchange(reorder two different pairs). Upon leaving the store I was under the impression I had made the exchange and everything was fine.

Later in the evening while going through my bank account. I noticed the young lady had charged me additional $84 to my debit card which shouldn't have happened because I was merely exchanging merchandise.

Once I noticed this charge on my card I went back to the store looking for an explanation. The original sale person wasn't there. I tired to explain the situation with the sales lady behind the counter but she didn't seem to understand, or didn't want to understand what I had to say. So I asked to speak with the manager.

This manager Ms. Annette Sloan just happened to be the most rudest and disrespectful individual I met ever met in a customer service environment. Before I got to say a word this lady began raising her voice and telling me what I did wrong and what's not going to happen, as far as me getting my money back. I went to say something and she slams her purse on the ground and proceeded to tell me in a loud voice that I wasn't going to be talking to her like that. I don't know if she was under the influence of something but she surely acted like it. Believe me, it was crazy!! I have purchased a lot of merchandise from you all store and I couldn't believe I was being treated in such a way.

After all was said and done I asked Ms Sloan for her last name and told her I would be filing a formal complaint with the Corporate Office. I have spent thousands of dollars with you all company. If this is the type of customer service I'm going to be receiving I will no longer be doing business with JC Penny's.BRUX

I recently was at a JcPenny in Mt Vernon Illinois. Actually 4 hours ago and I have Never experienced such a experience at a retail store as I did tonight! The young lady was very rude and sassy!!
I had bought some baby socks approximately in August, when I got home I was not charged the sale Price at the Same store. So I threw them in a closet forgot about them. Came across them recently so I decided to see if I could refund or exchange. I go to the store speak with a manager and she said we cannot give you anything but you can get a bigger size. So that's fine , I lost the receipt I will deal even though I WAS OVERCHARGED. I shop get some other items, the gal asks me about the socks, I explained I spoke with management and getting a bigger size. She proceeds to ask if I used a card and she will check! I explained to her already spoken and getting a bigger size. She said no , I didn't hear her You need to tell me so I can look. I said the girl behind you was my cashier she knows exchange. She proceeds to say YOu need to tell Me, I know what I'm doing and can look it up!! I raised my voice and told her she needs to stop and just check me out!!! So I'm home with a ink tag on my New Purchase!! The store is a 36 mile drive for me! I feel there needs to be some justification in this issue! I will Not step into the MT VERNON, ILLINOIS store ago and stores wonder why they have to close down! Maybe these small town people don't get enough training!

For good customer service you need to do what other companies do which is to keep customers updated by email on the status of their order including tracking numbers and name of shipper. I ordered wine glasses 12-6 and while I was able to find out that the order has shipped I have no way of tracking the order. This is important as we will be leaving town next week and I need to ensure that we will receive the package before December 20th. Your procedures are not efficient or customer friendly. I am currently on hold for a phone representative and very frustrated over something that other businesses take care of easily. And I can't answer most of the questions below because I'm waiting (15 minutes and counting) to talk to someone.

First and last time EVER dealing with your company.

Didn't ship all my products, can't get through on hold for over and hour person on the other was worthless at help.

Not only did you not apply the 20% at check out for FANSHOP you shorted me on item NEVER shipped it! that was a Christmas present. I am disgusted at your company disrespect for your customers.

I made a return at Courtland mall Burton Michigan,JCPenny's.Nightmare checkout female was new and was not aware of the coupon code I had.And I did not want to purchase without my discount.
Then she was so rude tired I am sure but hurried through my returns..because I had receipt and all tags attached.-- the ladies next to me were loud.carring on..checking out.was chaotic confusing the store was closing..She started at 845..was the first announcement.And was throwing my clothes..to the back of her disgusted.When done she handed me my receipts stapeled..just here!! And she walked away.I left.Noticed she missed 3 items.Store closed.She missed three shirts!!! unable to call store do not answer!!@

My husband and I went to the JCP in West Town Mall in Knoxville Tn yesterday to Christmas shop.
I got what we wanted and began looking for a checkout, walked past two that had no cashiers, finally found one where the bluejeans are on second floor. There were several people standing in line on both sides with 3 cashiers. There were two clerks in the shoe section right by this area. I saw at least 2 customers stand for bit then lay the merchandise down and just left.
I observed an elderly lady approach the two clerks moving the shoes around and asked if one could check her out, one of the clerks told her "no! I am busy, go over there" and pointed to the other side of the floor. The customer said there is no one there, your clerk said she was too busy! The lady walked away! Your clerk said to the other clerk, "can't they see we are doing something?" Then they proceeded to talk about customers. It made me furious! If it weren't for customers, there would be no need for her! She was just rude to that lady and the lady didn't say anything to cause the clerk to be like that! The time on my receipt is 1:29pm on 11/27/17. Penny's is not like it was years ago, customer service doesn't exist anymore! Used to be my favorite store! Not now.

I recentky visited your j c penny store at yhe highlands.I bought a bed in a bix and Jodi was so friendly and knew exactly what i was takking about .she even walked me to small appliances when we were done and help me find the keurig i was looking for ..your employees are amazing !

JC Penny deserves to go iner when they treat customers horribly. We have been royally hosed by JC Penny furniture and disrespected and lied to by their corporate office. Fair warning....NEVER ORDER YOUR BEDROOM OUTFIT FROM THEM. It was 5 weeks late. They claim that it is made in Texas once the order is placed yet there were stickers all over the wood indicating that it was made in VIETNAM. Even the boxes that they came in said made in America which is a lie. We paid to have a very expensive outfit shipped and put together and their 3rd party delivery lost our whole bedroom outfit and when they did finally deliver it they lied to us and said that they were not responsible for putting it together and just left it in huge boxes for my husband to put together only to find out later that the bed would not go together because the people in Vietnam could not measure and drill holes. Most people save and dream and work hard for a new bedroom outfit for years and JC Penny spit in our face by offering us $400 for weeks of inconvience, schedule changes, sleeping on the mattress on the floor, living out of laundry baskets, and when we called for updates and explanations they had the unmitigated gull of hanging up on us, handing us off from one manager to another, lying, making us put our furniture together and not returning follow up calls as promised. And beware... If you think that you will get in touch with someone at corporate in a timely fashion then be ready to spend several hours on the phone. They are getting it all back!! We are done and done with JC Penny!!

Mary B in drapery was very helpful, friendly, and gave excellent customer service. They need to reprimand the other home store employees they brought over to the meadows mall location. While Mary B was helping me place 6 orders on the register to be delivered to the store another older female drapery employee ( and I can say older because I was about her age)came over to the register and started looking at what Mary was doing. She said to Mary; what are you doing you are tying up the register for a long time and we only have two registers. Mary replied to her-she is placing different drapery orders to be delivered to the store and I am placing them for her. She said well hurry up and walked away. A male cashier in the drapery dept was using the other register. The female employee that questioned Mary did not have a customer she was just roaming around the mattresses looking for customers. They must work off commission. After leaving the drapery dept I looked around and found two items and checked out by womens lingerie and again another female employee from the home store waited on me. She also had a very bad attitude. I gave her my reward phone number and proceeded to say I had two items I wanted rung up separately because of gift item then decided while she was in the scanning screen to go ahead and just do both on the same receipt and said to her go ahead and add the second item. She replied make up your mind what you want. I replied well I guess I will just leave the second item and I will just pay for the first item. I said was you at the home store before here. She said Yes and I don't like it. I wanted to say I can tell.

I order some merchadise online when i was getting ready to check out, it said to order another 20.00 more for free shipping. So i did some more shopping of 20.00 more dollars so i can get free shipping. I clicked the to place my order and got a conformation when i notice i was charged for shipping. It didnt say like it told me the first time and another 10.00 dollars or so for shipping or i would have did so or placed the order to the store. I am not happy at all and customer service was no help at all..Also when you do place an order to be shipped at the store they really need to have a different line for online customers instead of standing in a line that wraps around the building. Thats the whole reason i shop online to not stand in a super duper long line. Defeats the purpose. Thank you for listening.

Totally Useless. I Ordered A Jacket On 4/22/2017 With Delivery To Be Made To The Store. On 5/8/2017 I Went To The Store To Check On When It Would Be Delivered. Store Subsequently Cancelled The Order And I Was Informed I Would Receive My Refund Within 30 Days. After Numerous Time Calling Customer Service And Being Placed On Hold Each Time, Attempting To Send Customer Service An E-mail At The E-mail Address Provided (the E-mail Would Not Go Thru - Bad Address), I Once Again Returned To The Store To Obtain Info About My Missing Refund. The Store Clerk Was Helpful, Made A Few Phone Calls, Informed Me My Situation Was Being Assigned A Case Number And I Should Receive A Phone Call Within A Few Days. Well, It Has Been A "few" Days And No Phone Call. No Refund. Jcpenney Had No Problem Grabbing My Money The Day The Order Was Placed. Why The Big Problem Refunding My Money? It Has Been 53 Days Since The Store Cancelled My Order. Never Ever Will I Ever Purchase Anything There Again.

JC Penny may as well give up the business. I feel sorry for the Penny Family considering Mr.Penny worked so hard to make his business what it was long ago. The customer service, supervisors, and the whole business is the worst than ever. When you have an issue-the supervisor/management seem not to care about you as a customer. I was so irritated after placing an order and my confirmation was sent to a co-worker with the same last name. At that moment I was furious, but at the same time realizing that mistakes are made. My only satisfaction at the time was to cancel the order and my account. When I spoke with the supervisor (Morgan)she was pretty nonchalant with her apology, which added fuel to the fire. As a customer spending my hard earned pay-expect more than what I received from her. This has always been my experience with JC Penny, and I see there has been little or no change. Nothing was asked if there was anything they could done to change my mind, or to save the account. This is why other that shop Penny's do not have accounts, and very seldom shop there for reasons I've mentioned. I had been a customer for a long time with JC Penny's, but, canceled my account due to a bad experience. I opened this account about 12 years later, approximately 4 years ago and here I am again canceling my account. This will be the last time as a customer unless there is something that would allow me to change my mind, but I doubt that knowing their business practices.

I visited the JCPenney fashion square mall in Saginaw Michigan at approximately 7:30 PM Monday, May 15 and what I encountered was a supervisor over those shoes area who told me that they had put prices on Nike shoes for 3750 as a future promotion but as I answered the shoe section I seen that the shoes were priced at 3750 I picked a size 7 and a size 5 boys shoe that was Nike style blue and white black white and blue very stylish as I approached the cashier counter I was notified that the price was coming up $45 so I asked them to go back to the far in order to obtain the price tag that said 3750 they came back and told me that the The 3750 was only for the smaller size shoes there was no indication on the tag itself that it was for a smaller size shoes they would not honor the price they would only tell me that it was future pricing that was posted that is extremely unacceptable and regards to false advertisement on the other side of the tag it said buy one get one 50% off if they were $50 to Mark please look at the attached pictures because it will show you exactly what I seem so all the shoes that were in that section I believe to four 3750 the supervisor was very unapproachable inappropriate and on customer service orientated I left very disturbed disconnected and also very upset with the notion that you would pre-priced items that there is no exact pricing details except for the fact that they were 3750 which were Hosell Mart at $45 apiece your shoe supervisor at that point would not honor the price that was stickered I have enclosed the attached pictures to show you my embarrassment the horrible and unacceptable customer service experience that I endured I would expect that JCPenney would train their supervisors are the level that they would understand when to price items that would be future priced and that those items were not be priced prior The actual cell being promoted therefore I will not shop at JCPenney's for any of my sons shoes whom are nine and 10 ywara old for a very long period of time in addition I will close my JCPenney account which is at a $2000 limit due to the unacceptable and her run this customer service I received on May 15, 2017 by your shoe supervisor who is very proud of the fact to tell me that she was the supervisor of the area and I had made the decision not to honor the prices that were posted!!

~I went to JCPenneys in Heath, Ohio today with my mother & granddaughter. Well I picked out 2 shirts & a pair of pants for my granddaughter & I picked out a blouse for myself. I went to use my JCPenney credit card to pay for the purchase which was $34 and she ran my card and it would not approve the order . I haven't use my card in a while and it had zero balance after being in barest in front of all the other people there the one cashier called in to see why they declined the purchase and then I was told since I hadn't use my card they close my account . First off the gym and told me that after six months with no activity they lower your balance then after a year they close your account well the last time I use my card was in July . Needless to say I wasn't very happy ,if JCPenney is going to close my account they should've been considerate enough to tell me. It was so embarrassing getting declined in front of all those people when in alll reality I hadn't use the card in awhile.
~I understand now why the store isn't doing so well especially treating their customers in such a poor manner.

Just went into your Plaza Bonita Sephora to pick up some new lashes and I wasn't there for more than 2 minutes with my son in his stroller and an associate asked if I need help and in the same breath basically told me to put my stuff in a basket or they'll think I'm STEALING! I hate their dirty grimy baskets and prefer to hold onto my purchases but I have NEVER been so offended and made feel like an untrustworthy criminal instead of a loyal customer! I immediately put back my lashes and left. I was speechless in her markings me feel guilty for nothing. I had my son with me for F sake! I have lost all respect for Sephora. It's difficult enough being a single mom finding time to shop for myself without being treated like criminal within 2 minutes I arrive! Whether your store is in the ghetto or you've just had someone shoplift in front of you, there is absolutely NO reason to treat loyal members so poorly! I would hope something will not only be done about this particular store but in the general attitude of all your employees. To some, buying a $200 moisturizer or a $10 pair of lashes, it can be a costly splurge and should NEVER be accused or spoken to with such disrespect and accusatory attitudes.

After asking for help at the store located @ Westland mall in Hialeah Florida, associate in pick up or online order pick ups told me that she don't have any other associate that could help me. I referred to her after seeing someone from electronics( fridge etc...) can help she also refuse and told me that she couldn't call her as well. Then I went to children's department to call a supervisor or mama her on duty and after almost 10 minutes no one shows up. Then I call corporate customer service where they either hang up the call or get cut offs. I tried more the once to communicate with them with not success. Managers in store that does not show or even answer their radios where grabiela and sharifa. I finally left the store with no purchase made since I could find any help with my purchase. I really would like to know if this is the way jcpenney it's doing business. No helping customer, ignoren then when they are been call for assistance. I do understand if they are busy they may take long in answering but I least answer and let somebody know when they are call. I feel so bad that I m really thinking in come back to your store once more.

I live in Santa Maria CA and I am so disappointed in our store. It looks like a bargain basement store. Less desirable than the thrift stores we have on every corner. So sad since we have so few store here to shop in. Hope it can improve, but it doesn't seem too likely. Miss the real J. C. Penney's as it once was.

I am not a JCPenny regular shopper but I needed something and went to their Jersey City location thinking as advertised they were closing at 9:30 to be turned away by someone at the door at 9:10 stating they were already closed. Why have your closing hours till 9:30 but close your doors when it is convenient for you.
