STOP CALLING ME!!! This new phone number was just recently issued to me in June of 2015

I am keeping track of every call made and you will pay when this is all said and done if I continue to receive calls. I hope I make myself clear.

not helpful at all. I might be kicked out of school and be 16k in debt because Sallie Mae can't deal with technical difficulties and don't know how to help!

I am tired of the abuse and Harassment and threats that Sallie Mae has been given to a person who has continually made his agreed to payments on time .I will not stand for it and will report this to the proper authorities if it is not stopped.

I am the receptionist at a corporation. Sallie Mae calls the main desk line at least 5 times a day and hangs up without even talking. Probably the biggest waste of my time ever.

I think my calls are forward to a call center in Asia! Very frustrating...and you will never get the same answer to the same question! LOL

This company is here just to rip people off. We paid them in full and they still want more. We have proven our bill is paid in full so now it looks like we take them to court and take action against them for harrassment

I just contacted Sallie Mae and was told that my loan has been consolidated, and paid off through Direct Loans with the Department of Education. Nothing has changed for me and I have been a full-time student for 8 years now. It would be nice to get emails directly instead of having to call companies like Sallie Mae for information.

I understand that documents have been send on or around December 9, 2013, unfortunately, I have not received the information so am not sure what they are about. Student loans are crisis points for me when I have not been able to find a job. WHile I have been making my payments each month, it is hard because my disability check comes in on the third of each month, and the retirement stipend is not enough to mail a payment or just under the amount. I paid up this time through February, so I should be okay. All I am saying is that student loans are important and I especially want to hear from anyone concerning that any information regarding my loans. As soon as possible and not two weeks later would be preferred.

My email has not changed, and if an email was sent I would have received it and I did not. I have had two other companies contact me about trying to consolidate my loan that I never contacted or asked anything from and now one of them are harassing me with calls every day. They submitted a Consolidation Student Loan on my behalf with a forged signature and had the audacity of emailing the application. Student loans may not be paid by other students but that is not me. I have been paying my loan for before graduating with my MBA and because my disability payment comes in on the
signature. my behave and forged my signature and paid also found out that an application I had not submitted had been filed on my behalf by a company called Student of one or Student Loan Consolidation, Inc. out of Tampa, Florida. I spoke to a representative and had the representative tear up the application when I found out this company was a third party company supposedly acting on my behalf. I never submitted another application again, and the organization did once again on my behaf

Sallie Mae is just another extension of the Government arm they work hand in hand to take all they can from the people who truely just want to better their lives. Take take take, but never seem to give anything back without a huge price to pay.

this is the worst company to work with you want to pay your bill and the only way they want the money is to give info on phone they will not let you send a cashier check they want you to give out a check acct number to them on the phone right do i look stupid . get a a credit card right who want to pay wallmart all fees to get a debit card i guess they dont want to be paid when you cann't send a check. well i guess i will just keep check if they don't want it will this stand up in court if they refuse to take a check i would say so.i gues a lawyer will have to take care of this and take them to court so i can pay off bill i was stupid to sign on. i guess i was stupid this time but not the second time .

Sallie mae states on there letter head that I get sent to me that they are opened on Saturdays 8am-12pm E.T. but when you call you only get a recording and no human person which is very frustrating. They should really change there letter head then.

Are we able to report them to the Better Business Bureau? I have yet to come in contact with someone that is pleased with Sallie Mae. I wonder if BBB receives enough complaints something could be done?

I have a comment that was rejected, because it claims this message was already posted. I'll reword.
Sallie Mae called at 08:00 on Labor Day. I jumped out of bed to listen to a recording telling me I am late. I over pay the $87 monthly by $113. That is, I sent $200 on Aug 8th. Check your own records (the check has cleared).
Wow, you people are frustrating. Have a human call me.

TherevARE NO humans at Sallie Mae. The above contact info put me in an unending recording loop. Sallie called me at 08:00 on Labor Day with a recording. I am up to date on my daughters payments. Why call me with a recording? Have a human call me, rather that even consider the thought that YOU made a mistake. I will continue to make a $200 (minimum = $87) monthly. Check your records. Next call should be a human to apologize to me! Give me your number so I can wake YOU on a Holiday, for no reason.

atodsy,7/01, 2013. I made the ninth callto Sallie Mae regarding a loan my 84 year old mother , co-signed in 2007. I became her power of attorney in 2009. My mother has never worked. She was drawing a social security check for $372.00 amont. She had excellnet credit. Two $15.00 a month payments to two department stores. My dad, the bread wiiner of the family had alwayd paid all the bills and made the income for the family. Sallie Mae stated to me they do not care about the income, only the credit rating when they open loans. Let me see if I understand this. I can have $372.00 a month in social security, but when the bread winner of the family deceass and the household in come drops to $1100 a month you come afrter the comaker , who could not have qualilfed to beging with. Predatory was the word that came to my mind. The student, was out of work with no income( not ilogical in this time period). So Sallie Mae states if you make 10 payments in a row for $169.00 amont, and send in the request form we will wprk to get the co-signer released. Of went th payments and the release form. OOPs , they said the didn't get it but they did get ia copy of my power of attorney. Odd they sopoke with me all along with out it and odd again that they didn't get a copy of the relese that was with the release form. Yet a supervior sdtates she sees it " in the notes". Now for the part I don't get. The representative stated thata part of the release was that school had to be completed. Well, Computor Training.com has been out of business, can't finish the school that doesn't exist anymore. Bettter yet, there is a class action suit against that company. I spoke to Unit Manager, Cary Foss and he stated he could not discuss that matter, when I asked for the Department Head or Directors name to address the issue, he said he did not have to provide that information, and he did not. I called back for the information.The folllowing representatives refused to give me the information, Pamela Stevenson, "Lindsey" Stevenson,Chris ext 57278. I finally got 1 rep who knew how to proceed with a Regustered complaint. Gerald Hornbuckle. He gave me the name of the atrty I wished to address. I had given them the copy of the last payment for $170.00 dated 6-7-2013 cashed by Salle Mae check 1826 and the account number. I advised them to query the date 6-7-2013 for payements received with check 1826 and they had still not done so after 2 weeks. They sugggested I send a copy, I advsied them to pay for the fee and I would send the copy. I made the decision to protect my mother, I would address this with my state senator. I have sevral issues of lending practises, collection practises, and disclosure practises that need to be addressed. The Virginia Attoney General needs to know that if you wnat banks to follow guidelines, so should the governmant agencies. I spent 35 years in the banking industry and can assure you this needs to have a serious overview by the Department of Education, The Treasury Department and the Justice Depatrment. I will mail a letter to Kelly Hoiser, Sr Director of Collections and await her response to deficiencies in her department. I believe she will take the problems seriously. C. A. Hickman

The Worse Loan Ever . We Borrowed About 78 Thousand Dollars For 4 Years Collage And Now They Say We Owe 160 Thousand Dollars. How Will Anyone Be Able To Pay This Back. My Boys Need Food And A Car And Cant Find A Good Paying Job . They Are Making Enough For An Apartment Bill And Utilities.this Interest Needs To Stop And Let Us Get Paid Off What Was Borrowed For Collage . Who Ever Thought Collage Expence Would Be More Than A House. Someone Needs To Look At This Problem Immediately And Take Action.the Debt Would Not Be So High If The Interest Rates Would Be Removed.

They Claim They Fixed Your Account, But Really They Just Re-arrange Your Payment History, So At The End Of The Day, You Owe More Mone. Do Yourself A Favor And Never Get A Student Loan Through Sallie Mae!! Biggest Mistake Of My Life!!!

I Had To Call To Complain, And The Supervisor On The Phone Started To Yell At Me Before Hanging Up. They Claim That The Employees Who Are Incharge Of Fixing Accounts Are Not Allowed To Talk To Outsiders. Biggest Scam Ever

Sallie Mae isn't the culprit here. It's the student loan process & our government with the fafsa processing. Your parents/cosigners initially take the loans out, don't really read the documents in full, with the understanding of the repayment terms and liabilities involved, become cosigners/comakers and then try to renig by saying since the child/borrower didn't graduate or did but now can't find a job, they are now now responsible for the loan, all because they wanted or needed you to go to school and because you the student don't have credit and because you the parents initiate the fafsa process, you put your child/student and yourself in major credit risk without truely understanding what you signed. Yes, school is expensive. But PARENTS, you really need to either hire an attorney to ready your contracts before you sign or take a class on contracts. You simply cannot say after the fact that you are not responsible when you are indeed. Students, you are either graduates or non graduates, either way, you HAVE to be the responsible adult before, during and after school. THIS IS YOUR LIFE - GET INVOLVED AND UNDERSTAND WHAT YOU HAVE SIGNED. If you always wait until you have a problem, then apparently you will not be successful in a resolution, not just with sm loans but in life in general. You DO have to be proactive, where Sallie Mae can document the loan, as this is in your best interest. It is a sad sad case when the child that goes to school passes away and the student loans revert to the only paying person, the cosigner... this is truly unfortunate, but a harsh reality of contracts 101. It is unfortunate if you have a poor cs rep on the phone who you say doesn't understand, when really it is a case of ignorance on the student & parent/cosigners behalf. You can't get angry and upset at the process and the reps... The fed govt loans have many many oportunities to repay the loans, however, when it is a Sallie Mae private loan, there aren't options ALWAYS available to the signers.... When SM offers you an opportunity to change a term or a rate for a short time or to forbear an amount, these are GIFTS and GIFTS only. YOU CAN'T DEMAND IT. You are NOT entitled to changes in the terms of the loans. NOT always are there opportunities for SM to change terms or offer forbearance. There is nothing in the terminology of the contracts that state SM is obligated to offer you different terms than what you signed off for. JUST REMEMBER, AS A COSIGNER OR COMAKER OF ANY LOAN, YOU GIVE THE LENDER THE RIGHT TO TALK TO YOU OR TRY TO RECOVER THE LOAN IF THE BORROWER DEFAULTS. YOU CANNOT MAKE THE LOAN GO AWAY SIMPLY BY IGNORING OR STATING THE LOAN ISN'T YOUR RESPONSIBILITY AFTER THE FACT.

absolutely the worst customer service ever. Never again will I get a loan from them and will get rid of them as soon as possible. I will tell everyone I know not to go to them for a loan.

I have had nothing but an excellent experience when dealing with Sallie Mae. Customer service is very knowledgeable and patient while explaining procedure on how to start my deferment. I have no complaints whatsoever and I have been on the phone with different reps at different times.

The sad thing is no matter how much we complain and prove just how terrible Sallie Mae is nothing is going to change.... How can we initiate real change? Im am grateful that I am able to consolidate and get rid of them, but just knowing that they are out there ruining more peoples lives is enough for me to still stay involved in trying to shut them down!

This is the worst customer service I have ever received. I can't believe they are so unwilling to help or just basically do their job. . I submitted a request by fax twice with supporting documents to start a loan deferment as per their instructions. They sent me a generic letter 2 weeks later saying "thanks for contacting us, here are the services we provide." Well DAHHHHH I called them and explained the situation that I am applying for an economic hardship deferment and I need it processed yesterday because I am buying a house and they need to see that my loans are in a deferment. They just argued with me, and started blaming ME yes I said ME for why they didn't process the loan deferment. Then they said that I can wait 2 more weeks for it to be processed. Their attitude is accusatory and they act like its not their job to help. Even when they do something wrong they are not willing to fix it or make it right. Unbelievable!!!

Taking out student loans was the worst mistake I made in my life. They will not work with you to see what you can afford or postpone your payments to give you time to find a job. They basically don't care.

Sallie Mae is not out to give a darn about a student/graduates problems. If a school (like the Art Institute Online) lied to you about job placement, tough luck. If you have had an emergency situation where you've lost loved ones, or were in the hospital yourself because of an accident.......... tough luck.

If you can't find work because George W. decided to play War with your tax dollars and brought the economy to sh*t, then tough luck. They don't care if you are making less than $600, or even $0, they want that money. They don't fault the schools, they fault the students who were deceived, they are a conglomerate partner with schools for the sake of getting your money and then some.

You think they want you to be able to pay off the loans at the lowest possible percentage? Of course not, and they don't want you to tell high school students that they are better off learning the cost effective and smart way by purchasing books, software, and learning from how to videos, etc. instead of going broke for an education that may be very bad and unaccredited. Spread the word to other people you care about so that they aren't pissed on.

Well like everyone else I tried to call and see if I could get help but got the dail tone. Anyway I was calling them because I have been diagnosed with cancer and it will eventually kill me the doc says maybe two years max. I tried to tell that to sallie Mae and the gentleman on the other end told me that its not his problem. The meds and every thing else are adding up I can't work anymore and I know I barrowed the money but they won't work out any type of plan with me so the will be taking my taxes witch I needed to help pay for meds so I can be with my four kids and wife as long as possible. Why can they get a hand out from us tax payers but they won't work out something with a dieing man same on you Sallie Mae. [email protected]
