My car is currently being serviced at Lexus of Naperville. It is a 2007 GS450H. I took it in for scheduled maintenance (125,000). What was to be a simple scheduled maintenance is clearly illustrating a great problem with Lexus rear brakes quality. Two years ago I had to replace my rear brakes due to them seizing up. The repair costs me $918. I had plenty of pad. I am now being told that during the inspection of my vehicle that the rear brakes are rusting to the point that they recommend completely replacing them again. A quick search on the internet I have found many owners of Lexus GS with the same problem. In fact I found a Lexus service bulletin (SC-9LB) regarding this issue. Yet each time there is a quality issue, I am asked to pay for the problem. I believe Lexus should step up and be responsible for the repair.
