i bought a sony transistor radio in 2005 and i have to thank you for making a product that lasts in this disposable world. this thing has slammed to the hard floor at least a hundred times, is often filled with sand, subjected to water, etc... i turn it on expecting it to be dead but it's good as new. way to go sony! thank you!

I sent a Sony BDP BX320 blue ray player back while in warenty. Sony failed to send replacement when promissed. When I called for status, I was told someone would call me. I will never purchase anouther Sony product and when asked, will tell all about the terrible experiance with Sony. The Incident I will now have to contact Costco for a refund of my purchase price and will recomend that they stop selling Sony products.

To whom it may concern,
I am very loyal customer to the Sony organization and have been for nearly two decades. The reasons are quite simple; Sony is an innovative company that has an incredible history of making superior products. The first Sony product that I (or should I say mom) ever bought, at a meager ten years old, was a Sony PlayStation. It was such a reliable and cutting edge product, especially at the time. I must admit, I was hooked. Ever since then I have been a great supporter of Sony. I have owned multiple PlayStation consoles of every generation system that Sony has produced. That currently includes two PlayStation 4 consoles as well (My wife has one too). Our children still make relevant use of my old PlayStation 3 that has yet to see the end of its technological life. That's something an Xbox owner can only dream about. Moreover, I own a Sony High Definition Television and even few thousand dollars of Sony Stock over the last couple of years.
Despite my American (USA) heritage and the recent onslaught of hacker breaches that have not only compromised the security of personally sensitive information, but also prompted the shut down the PSN for months on multiple occasions, my support for Sony has never wavered or faltered. Nor do I foresee it doing so either. That's because Sony continues to serve its customers well by not cutting corners in the development and manufacturing of its products. However, to continue my theme of loyalty, I moved away from another prominent U.S. manufacturer to replace it with another Sony product and further illustrate my support. I recently left Apple's iPhone in order to purchase a Sony Xperia Z3v. To be honest, the iPhone proved to be a rather incredible phone. I had only ever owned one and it lasted three years. However, I do take good care of my belongings... Nevertheless, in that time period the iPhone did experience some minor drops, unprotected by a case, and even 45 seconds submerged underwater in a pool while on (a friend pushed me not knowing it was in my pocket). It still works to this day. I retired it and currently store it as a back-up phone.
To arrive at my belated point, the Xperia Z3, while a great phone, has not lived up to that standard. Nor Sony's standard that is well-established by its precedence of quality technology. I have owned my Xperia approximately three months. It that time I have not dropped it once, yet a spider web-like crack has formed on the back, middle region of the phone. While it has not affected its operating capabilities, I imagine it's water proof/resistance' feature has been compromised. I have never seen such a fragile phone before. Also, the Wi-Fi connection on the Xperia is almost despicable. The 4G works wonderfully, but as soon as I connect to a network my patience becomes extensively tested; even mine (remember, I'm an avid gamer with great internet).
Lastly, the operating system does occasionally stop working' at times and have to '˜force' a shutdown. This mildly irritating at best, but, nevertheless, not a problem I have ever had with my previous iPhone or Blackberry. I am left wondering if I must bring my iPhone out of retirement... On a positive note, the camera is truly impressive, the longevity of the battery is incredible, and the connectivity features that connect to my PlayStation 4 are very enjoyable to say the least. I understand that Sony has only recently joined the mobile phone market, and in with that consideration, has done quite well. However, it still leaves much to be desired. I will undoubtedly remain loyal to a great company that has remained loyal to its customers all of these years. I merely wanted to provide some feedback as an established customer.

Sincerely,
Dirk Staton

I have had an absolute appalling experience with Sony repair. From an acknowledged error on the part of Sony my card for service was charged twice. Then they refused culpability and I spent @2hrs tracking down with my bank what happened. They charged my sons card twice 1.29 minutes apart. He had just the right amount in his bank account for the one charge. The people tried making up increasingly bizarre reasons. I finally got a supervisor that was great. He acknowledged the mistake and the lies and said he would either fix the machine or send a new one NO COST. After 11 days of no system I called back and was back in the same original boat. Have to pay for repair was told over and over. I replied once again over and over what the other supervisor had told me-it was SONY'S fault and apologized profusely for the lies and the HORRIBLE attitude of the repair guy. I made the second supervisor repeat ad nauseum that I had nothing else to do and I would see the old repaired system OR A NEW ONE back in 7-10 days. After waiting this was the response once again. AND ANOTHER BAD ATTITUDE. This gentleman when asked for a name or ID # refused both. This was the first experience I have had with Sony and if this is indicative of Sony's service then BUYER BEWARE!! We purchase every system Sony puts out and thousands of dollars of products. THIS WILL END! And every person I and my children know who also spends thousands will be warned.. Plus every message board and forum we can find.

Sincerely,

I got a Sony xperia Z1 at a MTN branch in Klerksdorp in OKT 2013, having problems with this phone from start! This phone was more in for repairs than anything else paying over 400 rand a month for something you don't have any joy of! All my complains is with MTN branch in Klerksdorp send mails to headoffice, the don't even contact men at the moment I am without a phone. Hope that you people can assist me with my problem! Thank you. Melody Fielding!

you guys are the hardest people to get a hold of. Your hours are posted for week days as 8 AM to 12 AM but it doesn't seem to matter when I call you are always closed. I live in Hawaii and am livid over trying several different phone numbers the last being blu ray support to connect to internet. Why not just put this information in the box when you buy one

After speaking with several cust. service reps who were of no help at all, I finally reached 'CC' who was extremely helpful. She was not only knowledgeable about my billing problem but was very patient while I resolved the issue through my PS4, waiting for me to enter the necessary info. Apparently different systems process information differently (some need street address and some only need city, state, zip. You would think all reps would have been trained in this issue, or at least have been able to consult with their supervisor. Thank you CC. Shawn

I also cannot get my blu ray to connect to the internet and have confirmed with CenturyLink that it is a Sony issue. This has went on for hours and I can't reach anyone. The numbers are all disconnected or reroute me to a disconnected phone number. Very pissed.

I have tried for two hour trying to get in contact with someone regarding a reference code. Every call got disconnected. Or the number was invalid. My blu Ray no longer a connects to the Internet and I would like to know why.

I contacted Sony Support when I was unable to pair my new (out of the box) SRS-X3 to my iPad2. After waiting for several weeks with no response, I finally exchanged the SRS-X3 at Costco. The new device paired flawlessly and works fine. What disturbs me is the response that I finally got yesterday. This guy is being paid too much.

Dear Gary Leverett,

Thank you for contacting Sony Support.

I hope you're doing well. Thank you for being loyal to Sony.

I understand that you are unable to pair with ipad3 and iphone5.

We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience caused to you.

I have checked with the information and I regret to inform you that ipad2 and iphone5 are not compatible with the device.

Thank you for being valued Sony customer.

Have a wonderful day!

I give sony support a zero. I have sent 3 emails, and tried to do a chat with their so called chat support and was disconnect from that with no help and my emails have not been returned. I would never buy a sony product again, and that is sad because I had been a loyal cust for over 20 years.

Never again will a Sony product be purchased by anyone I come in contact with. Can't get phone support. Chat support is someone reading from a manual. If you would include a manual with the product I would be able to go through all the steps and have them fail without your involvement, since your company is no help at all. I'd love to see a Sony rep in person and this bluray player would become a perminant fixture for them. I'm done with this product and this company. Do you guys actually use the products that you sell?

Good Morning,

I would like to tell you about my experience at Yordale Sony yesterday, I have $339.00 credit at Sony and I know that the Sony retail stores are closing. I drove out to Yorkdale with the intension to purchase either a soundbar or TV. I counted probably about 8 reps, I caught the attention of an older Asian man who really didn't seem too interested to help me. I explained to him what I needed and when I pointed out a soundbar that I would be interested to purchase and that I would like a demo...he said he didn't have anything to play where I could hear the unit. At this point he just walked away to talk to a friend of his that just walked in. I called him back to ask more questions, but he was very rude in his answers and clearly showed no interest in serving me. The good news...Another sales rep(Sahid) saw my frustration and took the time to answer my questions and actually gave me advice to order on-line. Its a good thing that Sony Yordale is closing because I wouldn't go back.
Is it possible to use my Sony credit at Best Buy?

Thank You,
Rocco

Please release the movie "The Interview." You cannot let terrorists win. Release it on Pay-Per- View, or on the Internet, but its release is crucial. By standing up to these terrorists, you will send a strong message that Sony will not be bullied. In the process, you will reap millions from the release of a movie as a symbol of liberty and resistance to tyranny. American's detest censorship, and this release (whatever the means) could be the biggest money maker of any movie Sony ever produced.
(please forward this to the appropriate department for review. Thank you)
