Terrible company, Terrible customer service. Very hard to reach people for support nd terrible product as well. AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COST, don't make the same mistake I did if you want to use your brand new computer for more than a few months.

My coverage with Mcafee was over in June of this year!!!! I received an e-mail from them stating that they were automatically renewing my coverage with the same info that I used to pay my fee last year. I have been out of town for 10 days and did not communicate with anyone by computer during that period of time. I did not approve this and they charged $49.95 to my credit card account. How desperate they must be to get customers. I had already signed up with another company. I resent that they used this info without my consent. It appears that they are as crooked as those that they are saying they are protecting us from. Now I have got the hell of trying to straighten these out. When I attempt to speak with an agent, I can not understand their foreign dialect and I resent this too. McAfee is the pits!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I received and unauthorized charge on my account from McAfee. Just to get their number you have to go through hell. I finally called a tech support number and the guy hung up on me. I found their 800 number and now they are not reachable. This company is a rip off.

Whoever has McAfee, or anyone who is thinking of getting McAfee should have their head examined as it is a Joke! Get rid of it and find a good anti-virus company before it bites you like it did me. Someone got into my e-mail and stole my contact list and is now sending people spam supposedly from my e-mail account. McAfee makes you work hard just to find a telephone number for support when you need to contact them. What does that tell you?

I am only 13 years old and i go on clubpenguin.com! and whenever i need to long off and log back on, i can't i knew and now i am possitie that McAfee is the worst possable internet security in the world. What a terrible experience it has been working with McAfee. They have not been able to solve the issue with their software, they do not call when the say they will, escalation is a joke (even when promised). Client service is non existent and the run around you get when working with tech support is very, very frustrating. No one seems to care - there is no where to turn when a problem arises. HELP...what can I do to resolve the problems or get a refund?

McAfee has been doing searches many times a day. During that time, I can not do anything on the internet, or even on the computer! It usually takes up to 30 minutes to finish. Why would it keep me from doing any thing on the internet? So many checks with accessiblity to both computer and internet being so greatly reduced has me wondering about the validity of the service.

Now I am getting a message to renew. I am checking to see if the message is valid.

I used MacFee because it was free with dell laptop.Renewed with a 3 license Macfee software, could not installe it on my other P.C. Could not get help from them. Could not contact them....

I gone back to Norton. I did installed 3 license sooftware on 3 P.C no problem. I will never ever buy McAfee software again because of ther service...
P.S. I used Norton since window 3.1 and never had that much problem with there software or service

Seems like a consistent message... McAfee has lost their way when it comes to the customer. They are not concerned about providing customer service or providing a product that lives up to expectations... I personally will be terminating my subscription with them.

Why do you have to pay a tech support person to help with something you have already paid for. I have been trying to connect to Mcafee to activate my security CD since Sunday and all they want is money, money, money.

Yup, just like everybody else in the comments, McAfee turns out to be dishonest (did an unauthorized bank deduction, and double charged), and UNREACHABLE. The
"24/7" support is FALSE. McAfee is big, indifferent, and avaricious.

This is a horriable service the people at this place really screw people. I uninstalled them and discontinued my services with them and they still ended up charging my credit card account and that was three months ago and i am still to this day waiting for them to refund me. I will deff say dont use their services they are a horrable service place that is money hungrey. I hope they read this too cause they are now going to have a law suite on there ASSES. I am going to also call better business.

I am going through the same thing as all you other people. I paid for their product but have not gotten it and now they want to charge $38.00 to fix their mistake. I will be talking to my credit card company also. I cannot reach anyone in the mcafee company either. ADM

After using Norton for many years with no problems whatsoever, I first started dealing with McAfee in August, 2010 when I bought my Dell laptop. This last weekend, my computer became infected with a virus which ended up destroying my Internet Explorer program. McAfee wasted two hours of my time trying to fix the problem and finally switched to a Virus Removal Service for $89.95. These people could not speak English and did not know what they were doing. I finally had to pay a fee to Dell of $130.00. They were able to resolve the problem in 30 minutes. All McAfee was willing to do was refund the $89.95 but not the $130.00 fee to Dell. My best advice to anyone thinking of buying a McAfee program is run away as fast as possible.
I am thinking of contacting the consumer reporter on our local television station concerning this problem.

Their siteadvisor help is rubbish. In spite of many emails and requests for a re-assesment of our green site (they have marked up with a spam alert even though no other search engine gives us this rating) we are still waiting 5 months later for an update to the dispute.

Judging by the comments here their product support is pretty bad too. Appalling arrogance and lack of care. Would never recommend them to anyone and they have damaged our business too!

I am disgusted with this product. I had no problems last year and the prior year. It does not update. I called about a month ago, a rep connected, the problem stopped for about a day, now I still have the red exclamation mark on the Mcafee Icon, saying my computer is at risk and I am unable to locate a person at customer service. This is a disgrace, they sell a product and do not stand by it by giving people a proper running tool that we need for our computers. Does anyone have corporate contact for this company. I should be covered until next year. This product is trash.

All of a sudden I have a different access page to McAfee Security and the quick clean and shredder features have disappeared. It makes me sick that a person has no customer support after purshasing products. Does anyone out there have a legitimate phone number for these people. Half the numbers you try don't get you even close to any help. They usually hook you up with some people in India who are just trying to sell you more junk. Tomorrow I will start over with a different program. Someone tell me which is the best one to buy for sure. Thanks!

I am disgusted at paying good money for a virus protection programme that allows Virus's to get into your PC and then want to charge £59.99 to get rid of it. Mcafee could be installing these virus's on your PC.I am absolutely sure that what they are doing is illegal, therefore I propose to take legal action against them. ANYONE CARE TO JOIN ME?

I have just read all these comments and have taken the advice of the person who said to contact my credit card company and dispute the charges. My credit card company are going to investigate mcafee for taking my money but not producing the product to me. If they are found guilty of THEFT which they are guilty of and very very poor service i hopefully will get my money back.
I suggest that you all do the same and may be we can together NAME AND SHAME MCAFFE.

Just like all the comments on this page i to have had all the same problems, I ayed for a 1 year subscription it has not automatically updated itself. I called customer services they told me i need to speak to technical support section and that they will call me today at 9.00am i am still waiting for the call back it is now 11.35am. I have e-mailed them and had no reply but they were quick enough to e-mail me saying they had got my money. Does any one out there know how i can be refunded. I purchassed my computer from Dell 3 yrs ago i have called them today and they are no help either they are all in this together all ROBBERS.
I will never buy any products on line again.

DO NO BUY McAfee SAVE YOURSELF A MAJOR HEAD ACHE! URGH! I'm sooo UPSET the download was MESSED up it SCREWED the virus scan up and they had to un-install to re-install and now we cant get it re-installed! WOW McAfee will be hearing from my lawyers at this time I am disspointed with their customer care and speedy fixing time! THEY SUCK! POINT BLANK!
