I have had several JD mowers and tractors through the years. I went to gravely after your 737 series. I decided to come back to deere and demoed a 930M and a 950M z turn.

I really loved the new design and decided to purchase the 950 because I use a blower for leaves. They got a new 950 from another store and I used it about 1&1/2 hours. It started smoking and locked up. They gave me a loner and took this one in and said that the oil pump went out and it needed a new engine. I told them that was fine but I would not take a brand new machine with that much work. They ordered another one from Asheboro and it came in in a crate. I went and got it, brought it home and parked it in my workshop. When I went to get it to mow, the transmission oil had run out all over the floor. I called James River and the loner wasn't in, so they gave me fluid for the trans and I went and did my mowing. I drove back to the store and got the demo and left mine. They said the problem was not serious, it was something like a seal on the outside of the housing. They said they would have to order the part and would call me. 8 or 9 days later it was ready! What the hell happened to the if we don't have the part, we can get it in 24 hrs. ?? I lost a lot of money because I couldn't mount my catcher on a loner! I ask for some type of comp and saw the $500. off offer on the units out front. I told them that if you could give that then you could give it to me for all my trouble!! This was on a Thursday and my plan was to install the catcher on mine that weekend. I called them back on Friday afternoon and they said they had sent all the info to the deere rep when we talked the day before. The rep said, he would look into it, is what I was told!! Financing was all set up but I told them that they could just keep the mower and I would go elsewhere!! Nobody at John Deere or James River seems to give a tinkers damn about me or my time!!!! I bought another Gravely the next day! I am very disappointed with both of you and especially Deere! All I can do is put this all over the net and make people aware of this incompetence. Maybe others will pay attention and go somewhere else!! I do still have a Deere 2720. I was going to order front tires for it from the James River where I got the 950M, but now I will find them elsewhere! I probably won't deal with Deere anymore after this mess!! If James River is the culprit, it will be in your best interest to straighten them out !!!!!!!!

I love my John Deere tractor. The only thing I have a problem with I emailed John-Deere a couple of months ago and never got a response. My question was my mower is : or 4 years old and already had to replace bearings an spindle twice.
Should I not use the feature of cleaning the dec k with garden hose.
See would like a response

Thanks

I have a x304 John Deere tractor mower and it has 239 hours. i have it in the shop for spindle bearings for the second time. I was

basically told not to use the hose to clean under the deck because of water getting into the bearings. it has the hose attachment to

clean the deck. Has there been a recall for this problem. I grease the bearings every year. I don't think it is because of neglect

for the bearings going bad

Worst purchase I have ever made. 2015 825i DOHC 4x4 UTV. The heat from the passenger seat is unbearable. The squeak in the bed is so bad you cannot hear your passenger. Went though a small ditch with little water, belt got wet , had to tow it home. Dealership said nothing wrong with it. They used a zip tie on the bed to stop the squeak that melted off. No return calls or response from anyone at JD. Tried to resolve with JD but they will not talk to you. Tried to get rid of it, no one wants it. Would even lose money to get rid of it. paid $14k (BIG MISTAKE) can't get $10k. I need the UTV for property managment and riding with friends. Can not stand to drag the pasture or take it to the nascar races. My friends can't stand the squeaking or want to ride with me. What do I do now but let everyone know not to get a John Deere.

Some time ago you had a speceal program where i received a coupon for a John Deere tool box. I went to Southeastern John Deere in Loris, S. C. Priced a new John Deere. was told I would get the tool box in mail or UPS. That has been about 2 years. No tool box. I received one today for a pair of gloves. I went back to the same dealer and He worked a deal to trade my Kubota for a John Deere. Said he would send in the caed for the gloves. Waiting. Gene R. Johnson

Could not help with product information about what battery to use in D140. Told must contact dealer. Why have customer service if mfgr does not answer questions about product. Also, the dealer just wanted to sell me their battery and disagreed with CSR on warranty.

CSR nice but absolutely no help.

CSR messed up the phone review transfer so could not respond.

I am in the process of trading in my roll baler in on a new one with net wrap. I am torn between John Deere and Vermeer. So I get this coupon in the mail from JD offering a pair of JD work gloves just for coming in and talk to a sales rep. Thinking that with the gloves offer incentive that now was as good ot time as any to talk roll balers. Well I go to JD dealer on Saturday (the only day of the week I can get off work) in Shelbyville Kentucky with coupon in hand and after talking about my plan to purchase show the dealer the coupon and his reply was "ya someone else showed me one of these, must be something you have to do on line or something". So now I'm thnking should this incedent make my mind up on JD or Vermeer? I've heard stories of dealers keeping the incentives for their friends and not for the intended use. Not sure if this is the case here or not, but thought you (the corporate office) should know my disappointment and concern. Thank you for your time and help in this matter.

I live in Maple Valley Wa. There was at one time 2 John Deere dealers a reasonable distance from my home. I have a diesel 6x4 gator and a LX 280 mower. Forcing these 2 John Deere dealers out of business is your decision. Will you allow any other dealer to distribute your product within a reasonable distance to Maple Valley. Washington tractor is 35 mile from here and that is too far. Cub Cadet is close, and I have been offered a reasonable offer to switch my 2 John Deere units to Cub Cadet.
Will you be opening a John Deere outlet in the near future?

Thank you
James Morris

I own a 2009 JD5045E tractor with 550 hrs on it. Going to start baling hay this summer so upgrading to a 70- 75hp tractor to handle baler, mower, etc. I am down to $34,500 for a JD5075E Tri green Leighton, And $34,500 for a Kabota 7060M 4wd Tri county kabota, Tuscumbia, Al. (Use my name and feel free to contact them for verification) Even money. Both w loaders n canopy tops. Here is bottom line question I would like presented to your customer satisfaction team. Why should I buy the JD when I own JD with less than 600 hrs. that I have already had to spend $485 for a new starter at 210 hrs. and $1780 for a new clutch and throw out bearing at 465 hrs? Both after warranty ran out. Doing this before I buy Kabota because as president of Colbert County, Alabama cattlemen's assoc. I was at trade show this last weekend in Huntsville, Al. and your Tri green Huntsville salesmen were there. After telling him why I would not buy another JD one followed me down aisle and asked me to please contact you before I buy because he said it's possible you would contact JD rep. in (Atlanta) and he may offer me a discount or rebate on those expenses if I buy a JD. I have my receipts. Your JD salesmen assure me the bigger tractor is made much better and will not be a problem. Yes, I would like to stay with JD if rebate or discount will help with the unnecessary expense I encountered. If not I will give Kabota a try. Gonna buy within week so please promptly pass on and have someone contact me at If no response I will feel better choice was Kabota simply because JD don't care. With rebate I will break even with new JD. Without it I will lose nothing with Kabota. Discount or Rebate would help me with the 5045E quality problems you know they have. I request discount or rebate instead of reimbursement because by this you will know I must buy the

I want to take this time to commend and thank the great folks at Chad's Little Brunswick Maine. I had a hydraulic leak with my x310. They picked up and turned it around in 2 days. Bruce,Nate,John,Ben all contributed to a very professional and great experience. They are unquestionably the very best!!

I have a Gator 625i that pumps gas into the engine and raises the oil level to one inch above full within 2 hrs of use after oil change. Contacted 2 separate dealers and regional representative and they all said that was the nature of the engine and blamed it on Kawasaki engine mfg. Their fix was to tell me to just keep changing the oil frequently.
That is an insult to anyone's intelligence

I bought a $43,000.00 Tractor from Murphy Farm and Lawn in Anderson, Mo back in December, 2013. I bought this tractor to use in the hay field. Needless to say, It had only 43 hours on it the first time we took it too the field. Went about 500 ft. and tractor pto quit and tractor overheated. Immediately called dealer for service call. They made it out 2 days later, got the pto fixed but it was still overheating. Forgot to mention a couple of months ago the hydrolic pump went out so they came and got the tractor and had it for 2 weeks to just replace the pump. On with current situation, they came out a second time and replaced the thermostat to fix overheating problem. I was on my way to the field and it was still over heating. Called dealer again on 7/2/14 they said they would be out. Called back said it would be a week (7/9/14). That was yesterday and still nothing. Called dealer this morning and all I am getting is the runaround. Can someone help me or do I need to go trade it in for a Kubota? I have 4 Kubota's and their service puts John Deere to shame. HELP!!!!!!!

I have a 4310 John Deere utility tractor which has an Ehydro hydrostatic transmission. It started jerking back and forth. It had about 600 hours on it. I knew I didn't have the diagnostic equipment to check it out myself, so I brought it to my local Dealer. E S Voelker in Alexandria Louisiana. They assured me they would do nothing before letting me know, after they figured out what was wrong. They called me a couple weeks later and said that my tractor wasn't worth fixing. About a $14,000 tractor, not worth fixing? He said the entire hydraulic system was full of metal from the transmission and it would cost more to fix it than what it was worth. So he asked me if I wanted him to change the filters and oil. I said NO! if it's not worth fixing I don't want to spend anything on it. Just put the old oil back in it and close it up and I'll come get it. Well he called me back about week later said come get it. I brought it home and about a week later a junk dealer contacted me to see if I wanted to sell it, hmmm. That sounded a little suspicious. E S Voelker sent me a bill for $700. So they charged me $700 dollars to say they couldn't fix my tractor. I called them and let them know what I thought and they finally took off the bill. But told me to do my business somewhere else. Fine with me. I eventually brought it to a private mechanic and guess what. There was not any metal in it. I ran it for a couple more months and it started jerking again so I bought it back and still no metal in it. The hydraulic system is clean and the pumps where disassembled and they looked brand new. There was an electronic relay problem with it. Do you think they were trying to steal my tractor? The next tractor I buy will be ORANGE!

I had a JD LT155 for 16 years and had no trouble at all with it. While digging a tick out of my hand I ran it into a tree breaking the hood and knocking the blades out for timing so they hit each other while running. The estimate to fix the tractor came in at $2,200.00 but at 16 years old and 3700 hours on it I decided to go ahead and buy a new one. I told the salesman I wanted a tractor of similar quality and he recommended I buy the X 300. My new tractor after only 14 hours of use the blades wouldn't turn because the bearing were seized. Although they told me what to look for the problems I had to diagnose what was wrong take the mower deck off of the tractor and bring it to them at the dealership which is 40 miles away and go back pick it up after they fixed it and now I have to reinstall the deck myself. So 14 hours and it's broke and the warranty is I figure out what's wrong, take the broken deck out myself, transport it to the dealer, they fix the bearing and then I have to go pick it up and put the tractor back together my self. Nice warranty I spend 7 hours diagnosing the problem and transporting the broken parts and the dealership spent 10 minutes fixing and greasing the bearings. I could not have been any happier with my last JD and am so disappointed with the new one so far

John Deere slogan is ( nothing runs like a Deere ) well it needs to be( nothin rust like a Deere). I have a 3 yr old lt 110 I paid $2000 for and it started rusting and peeling paint after one yr old. It has now completely peeled all paint off the body and were the seat is bolted to the frame it has the nuts rusted out until the seat is not safe. They say since the warrenty is up nothing they will do. When I took it to the shop to get it checked 90% of the ones in the shop were rusting in the same place. There should be a recall . I'll never buy or recommend a john Deere to anyone

Went to john Deere dealership in north haven ct . Got there around 7:55 and no one was there. Office was empty so I yelled for help & no one responded,. I was in a rush & wanted to talk to someone about a problem with the tractor I purchased there. Most of what I own that are lawn related are items purchased at this facility.

Went into back room to look for someone. I was treated awful & will never go back. This manager needs to be spoken to.

Thanks
Tom Elliot
