I had a JD LT155 for 16 years and had no trouble at all with it. While digging a tick out of my hand I ran it into a tree breaking the hood and knocking the blades out for timing so they hit each other while running. The estimate to fix the tractor came in at $2,200.00 but at 16 years old and 3700 hours on it I decided to go ahead and buy a new one. I told the salesman I wanted a tractor of similar quality and he recommended I buy the X 300. My new tractor after only 14 hours of use the blades wouldn't turn because the bearing were seized. Although they told me what to look for the problems I had to diagnose what was wrong take the mower deck off of the tractor and bring it to them at the dealership which is 40 miles away and go back pick it up after they fixed it and now I have to reinstall the deck myself. So 14 hours and it's broke and the warranty is I figure out what's wrong, take the broken deck out myself, transport it to the dealer, they fix the bearing and then I have to go pick it up and put the tractor back together my self. Nice warranty I spend 7 hours diagnosing the problem and transporting the broken parts and the dealership spent 10 minutes fixing and greasing the bearings. I could not have been any happier with my last JD and am so disappointed with the new one so far
