I have tried 4 different phone number for there customer service department and can not reach any of them! I m trying to get a package issue resolved for a customer and have no way to get in contact with Harry and Davids to resolve!

Yesterday my friend Mary and I (Tina) shopped at the Waterloo NY Harry & David's store.



It was a very busy day in the store, and one of the associates, Margaret Was the first individual to help us. Margaret was very knowledgeable about products and very pleasant to talk to. Ã?Æ?�Ã?â??Ã? One thing my friend and I both wanted was an artichoke dip.Ã?Æ?�Ã?â??Ã?  Ã?Æ?�Ã?â??Ã? There was just one jar on the shelf, so Margaret went to the back but return shortly and stated that someone else was going to retrieve the artichoke dip as it was locked and she didnÃ?Æ?Ã?¢Ã?¯Ã?¿Ã?½Ã?¯Ã?¿Ã?½t have the key. Both Mary and I said ok and continued our shopping. Ã?Æ?�Ã?â??Ã? We shopped some more, and no one came out with any, so we went to the counter and asked again if there was any more.Ã?Æ?�Ã?â??Ã?  Ã?Æ?�Ã?â??Ã? This is when Kim, the asst. Mgr. said that she was checking on it.Ã?Æ?�Ã?â??Ã?  Ã?Æ?�Ã?â??Ã? She said she would go out back and look.Ã?Æ?�Ã?â??Ã?  Ten minutes went by, and we decided to check out instead of waiting any longer.Ã?Æ?�Ã?â??Ã?  Ã?Æ?�Ã?â??Ã? The store was very crowded and we were ready so I Checked out first. Ã?Æ?�Ã?â??Ã? Sandra was the associate behind the counter and she too was very nice and helpful.Ã?Æ?�Ã?â??Ã?  Ã?Æ?�Ã?â??Ã? Just as I completed my transaction, Kim came back up to the register and said "here, I found the dip".Ã?Æ?�Ã?â??Ã?  Ã?Æ?�Ã?â??Ã? I said thank you, but I've already cashed out.Ã?Æ?�Ã?â??Ã?  Ã?Æ?�Ã?â??Ã? Very rudely Kim yelled "I told you I would be right back!Ã?Æ?Ã?¢Ã?¯Ã?¿Ã?½Ã?¯Ã?¿Ã?½Ã?Æ?�Ã?â??Ã? Everyone just looked at her in shock.Ã?Æ?�Ã?â??Ã?  Ã?Æ?�Ã?â??Ã? She wasn't polite, she wasn't kind.Ã?Æ?�Ã?â??Ã?  Ã?Æ?�Ã?â??Ã? She was extremely rude about it and very loud.Ã?Æ?�Ã?â??Ã?  Ã?Æ?�Ã?â??Ã? I was very embarrassed and visually upset, and after the shock wore off, said I'm sorry, but you should not be talking to me like that.Ã?Æ?�Ã?â??Ã?  Ã?Æ?�Ã?â??Ã? Starr another associate was also behind the counter saw that I was very embarrassed, as was everyone in the store that could hear Kim.Ã?Æ?�Ã?â??Ã?  Ã?Æ?�Ã?â??Ã? We asked to speak with the manager, and that's when we found out it was Kim.Ã?Æ?�Ã?â??Ã?  Ã?Æ?�Ã?â??Ã? Kim went back to the stock room and hid at this point.Ã?Æ?�Ã?â??Ã?  Ã?Æ?�Ã?â??Ã? She did not apologize, or even make eye contact With us.



Your stores are known for not only their quality products, but the friendly and helpful staff as well.Ã?Æ?�Ã?â??Ã?  Ã?Æ?�Ã?â??Ã? 



That was not the case yesterday in your Waterloo store.Ã?Æ?�Ã?â??Ã?  I donÃ?Æ?Ã?¢Ã?¯Ã?¿Ã?½Ã?¯Ã?¿Ã?½t usually write or complain but I have never felt as embarrassed about the treatment that I received in your store. No one should ever be treated that way. I feel like you need to know what happened, and hopefully want to do something to rectify it.

Last evening, I came home to find a Harry and David box of pears delivered to my home. They were a gift from a friend, who sent them to me for my birthday, which was January 21. When I opened the box I was appalled to see that the pears were downright rotten. No, they were not 'overly ripe,' they were ROTTEN. The pears were actually black in color and bruised to the point where they were almost mush. In addition to that, the pears had a terrible odor to them; so bad that I had to throw them down the trash compactor. But before I threw them out, I called Harry and David and explained to them about what happened. The woman who answered the phone was all apologetic, and asked me what I would like the company to send me to 'compensate' for the rotten pears. I chose some kind of gouda cheese she suggested. However, she told me that they were 'out of stock' on the cheese, and for me to pick another item. I finally settled on some yogurt-covered pretzels. At least I knew that they would not come to my home rotten.

I cannot believe that pears could ripen that fast. They were ordered on January 21, and they came to my home on January 25. How can pears rot that badly in 4 days?? And believe me, the smell was beyond belief. They actually STUNK. No, I am not exaggerating. The pears had an odor that was so repulsive, I had to get them out of the house - and fast.

The thing that upsets me the most is that the woman who sent me the pears is a friend of mine. She's one lovely lady, I can tell you that. The sad thing about all this is that the lady is a shut-in and is disabled. She took the time to send me these pears, and I did not have the heart to tell her how they arrived. So I called her to thank her for the pears, and I raved about them. But I was lying through my teeth.

No, I am not a customer of Harry and David. And you can bet your booties that I never will be. If fruit can spoil that badly in the short amount of time it took to deliver the fruit from wherever your warehouse is to Yonkers, New York, then you are selling spoiled merchandise. I will never order anything from you company - EVER. And you can take THAT to the bank! This was a horrible experience. In the future, make sure that the fruit you send out at least starts off a little hard so they don't ripen so quickly, arriving at their destination ROTTEN.

I had terrific customer service. I ordered last minute items for Christmas and also items to arrive for New Years.
I was given great suggestions when told some items sold out. My family was thrilled with the gift and everything was terrific. However the New Years item arrived at Christmas. Disappointed. When I called to let them know, customer service was sincerely apologetic and sent an extra box of pears. Overall very pleased.

I am disappointed that the "Christmas Tree" cookies (galettes) are NOT available as a separate item (i.e by the dozen or by the pound).
This is a very enjoyable item and nice to serve guests.
It is ONLY currently available as part of a package with other items.

WHY?????

I purchased the Cranberry/Apple Stuffing mix to serve with our Thanksgiving meal. I wanted to let you know that it was AWFUL, AWFUL, AWFUL!!!!! I had to throw it in the garbage. Very embarassing with guests already seated for dinner and now no stuffing. How disappointing. I had no back up plan as I thought coming from Harry/Davids the product would be good as I have purchased other products from the stores. I made my purchase at the Harry/David store in Deerpark, Illinois.
The stuffing was very very salty and peppery. No taste of crabnberry let alone any sign of apple. I thought it was my taste buds and after asking someone else to taste test, we all agreed with the taste and to throw it out.

The worst customer service -ever! Don't bother trying to contact customer service; they don't respond to emails and you'll be on hold forever if you call the 800-number. After 2 30-minute hold times I gave up.

Also - no way to cancel your order online. Once you've placed an order, you're stuck.
